I don't write a lot of good reviews. I welcome you to check all of my previous reviews and I'm one of those awful people who only write a review when bad things happen. But not this time. Oh man, I have been itching to write a review for DJ Presley. First of all, we booked him MONTHS in advance for the wedding, and he's been amazing and has communicated with us every step of the way for months. I've probably met with him more than any of my vendors. He makes sure to come to the venue early- to set up, make sure all the wires are in place, all the speakers are set up - it was absolutely perfect. I heard from a third party that there was some issues with the outlets, but BECAUSE he was there early, he solved it on his own and didnt have to involve me and made everything WORK. DJ Presley also does a really special thing. He asks for ALL of the guests to get on the dance floor to dance so the photographer could take a photo. He'll mention this to you, but you won't realize how well this works until you're there. I had plenty of friends who were at my wedding and were looking for DJ's for their own weddings, and they asked me if there was any way they could get his playlist, or for his contact information. I can swear 100%, that my wedding wouldn't have been as great and magical if he wasn't DJ'ing it, and it will forever be one of the best life choices I've ever made in my life. DJ Presley was the perfect addition to our big day. DJ Presley handled everything from the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance music and played the perfect music for each part of our ceremony and reception. He worked so well with our ceremony musician, too! Not only was he great day-of, but he really took the time to get to know us and our taste in music beforehand. Thanks, DJ Presley, for not playing any Tejano music!! ;) DJ Presley had our guests dancing the entire night (at least I was!) and knew exactly what to play and when and was able to adjust so well on the fly to how our guests were reacting to the music. We hired DJ Presley to DJ our wedding and I cannot say enough about him! First of all, he was so much more than just the "person who plays music at our wedding". We first met and hired Steven in January. For the next 9 months, he was an integral part of our planning process. He helped me with questions about the timeline, communicated w/ my videographer on microphone needs, and answered every question under the sun. I had a good friend sing and play piano for our first dance, and Steven provided us with ideas for where to rent the piano and ensured we'd have the cords we needed. He was also in on a few of my secrets -- I planned a surprise recessional for my groom and a surprise flashmob during the reception. Steven created the track for the flashmob and helped keep both of those songs a secret from the groom. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we met up again and he went through my timeline with me to make sure he knew when to emcee and what I'd like him to say. I think we spent almost 2 hours going over all the details. Steven is a wonderful, warm person and truly makes the whole process so comfortable and easy! We received so many compliments on how well the whole evening was executed, and so many friends said it was the best dance party and best wedding they'd ever been to. One guest wrote in our guestbook "Best wedding music ever!". He stuck to the timeline and gave all the right announcements. As someone who is a bit of a perfectionist and a major planner, it was so incredible to be able to just float around that day and not worry about anything. He executed everything *perfectly* and I didn't have to have a single care in the world. That is SO UNUSUAL for me, because I'm usually the one worrying about everything and making sure everything is going right. Steven is so genuine and added a positive energy to the party without being cheesy or phony. He didn't interject during the dance party except to say at one point "battle of the boy bands" when he played N'Sync right after Backstreet Boys (It was a 90's crowd). That comment cracked me up and he clearly knew his audience. So often you go to weddings and there's things like the microphones don't work, you can't hear the toasts, the wrong song is played for the processional, wrong names announced, etc. But for us, everything was just as wonderful as possible, and we have DJ Presley to thank for that! He truly cares about the couples he works with. I haven't worked with a large DJ company before, but I imagine that my experience was more personal than what you might get with a large company. Book him NOW! I promise you that you will not regret it, and he will add so much to your experience. read more

DJ Presley was amazing!!!!!! He made my husbands and my wedding so much fun in July! We constantly get told how much fun the music was and they enjoyed getting out on the floor to dance. Some people don't like to dance but if they don't, they didn't show it at the wedding because everyone was dancing. He also provided the sound for the ceremony which was outside. I didn't hear one complaint about the sound and typically at the weddings I have been to outside the sounds is awful. I was standing in the back before the wedding in a bridal cottage and could hear the music enough to understand it, which I didn't expect. It was so helpful to know when we were about to start. I was worried I would miss some of the music because some family friends were singing and it meant a lot to me. DJ Presley was so helpful leading up to the wedding! He didn't hound me for questions and deadlines knowing how busy I was but gave me the option to tell him everything we would like to have played at the wedding. We gave him, in my opinion a pretty small request list, but required only clean songs and nothing inappropriate. He stuck to it and promised he would ensure that we wouldn't hear anything like that. Prior to the big day we met only a few times and talked through email. He and my dad (an Audio Engineer) talked about all of the sound equipment. He was so knowledgeable and provided so much information to us. He had great lights and awesome speakers! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better DJ and if I ever have an event that needs one he will be the first person I call! read more

Do yourself a favor and look no further. Book this DJ! (Especially if you don't want to feel like you're trying to buy a used car.) Steven was purely amazing in every aspect. He was incredibly prompt to respond to any questions I had and was very accommodating when it came time for our face to face meeting. Steven sent us a worksheet that basically summed up everything we wanted for our wedding and facilitated the easiest meeting ever. His music library is incredibly extensive. I am Korean/American and he was able to play a lot of K-Pop for my wedding, which really got my mother dancing. Also, his enthusiasm for being able to play something different was super reassuring that he was a good fit for us. His ability to read the crowd was just baffling. He managed to keep people on that dance floor the entire night and did it with our very small wedding. To make things harder, he did this while competing with the other forms of entertainment we provided in board games and yard games. This was absolutely key for me as I've seen other DJs at other weddings that didn't really get people dancing until the last song of the reception. He was incredibly kind to my guests and played their requests. If there was a song that was requested that didn't quite fit our musical profile, he made sure to check with me first.
