Jennifer gave me the best pink and white I've ever gotten. This is my new regular spot and I'll recommend Dixon Nails to everyone. I was also lucky to be the first customer on Chinese New Year, so one of the employees gave me a New Years gift! The service here is amazing and they always seem busy, but also welcome walk-ins, which is much better than a different local nail place that books appointments a month out because there's one employee working at a time. I don't normally do this but I feel after giving this salon at least 5 different tries to please me I would explain the 1 Star. Every time I have left unhappy and felt as though my money could have been spent someplace else for a better experience, better result and cheaper price. Today was the last straw, I called at 9:30am when they open to request an appointment for a dip fill and pedicure, the man who did my nails seem to do well in the beginning, but once I looked at the way he has been filing my nails I noticed that they are ALL different lengths and are NOT straight. Then on top of that I told him I wanted a green and a grey pointed to the exact ones and he came back with red and brown. Red and brown, that's not even close, then I proceeded to tell him I asked for the green because at this time I didn't notice that the other one he grabbed was brown and not Grey. He came back with the correct one but again, the other color wasn't correct either. Then I started to get into the pedicure seat and I sat there for so long without someone coming over the water actually got cold. When the lady came over and just asks what I want and I tell her gel polish the same green as my nails but no scrub on my feet I'm too ticklish, well she starts trimming my nails and filing. At one point she poked the side of my toe so hard it remained pink for the remainder of the pedicure. She kept going to town on my feet moving faster than she should have been and kept slightly pinching/clipping my skin. Not quite sure what she was trying to accomplish. She seemed to be too worried about everyone else In the spa rather than focusing on what she was doing to my feet. My fingers look terrible cuticles hurt, toes hurt and Let's just leave I will not be going back and I hope others take my review in consideration Update: a little over 24 hours after and they have already broken. Another update: my toe was infected because the lady poked my skin I messaged the lady and got absolutely no response.. way to go Dixon nails! read more

I no longer patron this business. Customer service and the prices they started to charge me were inconsistent at best. They were not able to do the style/designs I wanted, so I went to a nail shop in Vacaville. When I would come in to Dixon Nails for my pedicures still, they were not as nice/friendly as they had been. Telling me if I came back I would get a discount. I tried once and I was charged more than they had charged me previously. Wait times are ridiculous- even if you have an appointment. No, thank you. I've since taken my business elsewhere and have been pleased. My go-to spot in Dixon. I don't think I've been really disappointed in quality over the last year or so since I've been coming here regularly. Usually I see Helen for dip, but today I needed long nails with gel and David did for me. I'm very happy. Dao is my favorite for pedicures. read more

Update 12/28/17 - Helen gave me French ombré nails today. I'm obsessed with them! Helen is absolutely amazing. I get gel powder and I've never had a bad experience. This place is nice and clean , the best one to use right now is Richard, he is quick and good too , will do pretty much what you ask, also prices are good and reasonable, I only wish maybe they would put some kind of distraction to watch as our nails or feet are being done , not all of us are socialites and Like to talk, so maybe a tv on wall? My husband and I have been coming here for many years and have always had great manicures and pedicures. When we moved out of town, we continued coming here as we were pleased with their service. My low reviewed is based on our experience at our last visit at the end of July. My husband presented a $50 gift certificate as part of the payment and they would not accept it saying that it was too old. The person who was helping him just took it and threw it away! Since this had no expiration date on it it was still valid. My husband mentioned it the next day so we could not go back to retrieve it. I will mention it to the next time we are there. I wish I could give it 0 stars... I've given them 3 chances because they're close to my house! Prices are NEVER consistent.. they added a $4 charge and couldn't explain why... I don't think that's a ton of money but when it's a horrible job I want to keep my money... nails are EXPENSIVE, BUMPY, and CROOKED. They used the electric filer on my 6 y/o sister when I clarified she was 6 and I just wanted them to soak, trim and paint her nails. The workers aren't very friendly, they rush people out and they try to force you into doing more things or they just do them and try to charge you for it.... I took my friend to get a full set the day her fiancé proposed... she got a full set with gel... $40 That same day I got a fill... shouldn't be too expensive way less work... no design nothing fancy $38 when I asked why he just said "because " I tried to pay before hand so I didn't mess up my nails it became a 10 minute 4 person ordeal... when I started getting frustrated multiple women there said they try to add little fees here and there so they want to charge you after so you can't just walk out... My grandmother's ring was stolen off my finger the last time I went. I'd been dozens of times to this salon and not once or anywhere else has someone aggressively rubbed my entire hand with a towel after an acrylic fill. I trusted the place so I didn't notice it was gone until I got home and when I called to ask if they saw it, I was told to call back when they were less busy but it was brushed off every time. The ring was on the loose side but NEVER fell off so I know I didn't lose it anywhere else. But could have easily been shimmied off by the weird towel thing. Do not go here. If you are getting anything done do not fucking go here. I got my nails done with my friend literally 3 days ago cause she flew in to visit me. She just sent me pictures of her nails that popped off. Acrylic nails... popping off. That should not happen she's really lucky that it didn't take her actual nails off. When they are doing them they weren't using the correct nail size and the did not buff our nails or file it down to blend the plastic nail with our normal nail. They were extremely aggressive when moving our hands. I'm talking my wrist was slapped and my pressure points were squeezed. I did not see them using any of the plastic wraps for people getting their toes done which by the way is what prevents people from getting infections. Do not come here. It's a shit show. They may make your nails look nice but your fingers will end up bloody and sore with your nails popping off days after you spend 80 bucks on them. I wish I could give them negative stars. read more

I have been going to this nail shop for several years, but never again. I have only continued to go because I do actually like the products that they use and my manicure does actually last for a full 2 weeks, but after today I will not go back out of principal. It's very apparent that Jennifer talks about clients behind their backs, she is rude and disrespectful, I kind of accepted that the customer service there is really lacking and unprofessional but today she went too far. Jennifer completely ignored me the whole appointment and it was very apparent she was irritated. She kept "yanking" and twisting my fingers really hard, she actually hurt me and I yelped out loud, she didn't seem at all concerned and didn't lighten her grip. Don't dare ask for her to file your nails a certain way (even though she should already know after all this time) because she will be extra rough to make a point that she is not happy. I thought I'll just tip my usual $10 on my $35 service which I think is quite generous, and I thought I'll be on my way and try a different nail shop next time, but Jennifer snatched the tip money out of my hand and didn't even say thank you! My first experience here since I'm new to the area... everyone was quite friendly and I was able to make an appointment the same day to come in. They're very flexible with putting you in the books. I walked into the salon around 1:25. Was told to sit in a chair and was quoted 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, I started to put back on my shoes, and was approached by possibly one of the "managers" telling me only 5 min longer as the gal was finishing up with a client. I told her it's already been 20 minutes! And I failed to mention the gal who originally told me 5 min, the one that sits at the first mani table is always rude! She never smiles, never is polite! I tried this place for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised by my nail tech's work on my powder dip manicure. Her name was Lynn and she was very humble trying to say how slow she was when I complimented her on her thoroughness. I reassured her that speed isn't everything. She did a fabulous job! The salon does not like credit cards though. So remember to bring cash or you'll be paying a hefty surcharge. I left my driver license there while I went to get cash at the atm. Went for the first time today. Got marble gel nails. I like to the finger nails but apparently toe nails are too small to get the marble effect. So they left the base on my other toes without painting them at least the same color. Kinda bizarre. Not a bad experience. I was hesitant to get my nails done at first just because I'm used to the salons in the Bay Area. I called and was able to make the appointment for the same day. I showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted, but he didn't know how to do ombré so Helen ended up doing my nails. I was a bit overwhelmed at first as she made me pick out thE 5 color I wanted with no help from her. She didn't like my design at first at and tried to recommend me getting blue glitter on the tips instead. I insisted and she went and ggot the colors. Honestly, there is no other nail place in town that I trust to do a great job. I've been going here since I was 13 (now 26) and even though I moved to woodland I still make the trip out here. I used to only have Richard do my nails but everyone is great so now I just make an appointment with whoever is available because I can count on them to do a great job. They have a ton of colors to choose from and the experience is always amazing-they're so friendly! I've had different lengths and styles for my fingernails over the years but I typically get a normal length with square-square tips because that's what I like, but Richard has done some beautiful coffin style nails on me, as well.
