I want to leave an honest review because I think the salon itself has a great atmosphere, and the staff overall seemed welcoming. My issue was specifically with one hairstylist and how my situation was handled. After my appointment, I noticed two very obvious bleach lines at the front of my hair near my face. It genuinely looked like two stripes of bleach if I wore my hair up. I reached out and asked if it could be fixed. I was brought back in, but there was never any apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. More bleach was added to try to cover it, but the lines were still visible afterward, just slightly less noticeable. I was even told, "As long as you don't wear your hair up, it should be fine," which was frustrating to hear, given the issue was still there. When I contacted the stylist again after getting home, instead of taking responsibility, she blamed my hair, saying it was because of my widow's peak. She also refused to issue any refund. What disappointed me most throughout the entire experience was the lack of accountability and basic customer care; not once was there an apology. I understand mistakes can happen in hair services, but professionalism and how those mistakes are handled matter just as much as the result. read more

Had my first color and cut from Hillary today and she nailed it. Color is perfect and cut is great. Cynde's Place is well-appointed, spacious and spotlessly clean. They also offer a wide selection of products, some of which I've been having a hard time finding elsewhere. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back. read more

I received a gift certificate as a Christmas present and had the pleasure of meeting Jayme. I live in San Francisco and was visiting the area. I am so pleased with the cut, baby highlights and root touch up as well as her recommendations of products for my hair... the 23rd will be my third visit and I have no intention of going elsewhere. She is fabulous! I have family in Roseville and Auburn and friends in Dixon and will just continue to schedule my appointments around my visits with all of them. I do NOT recommend Kylie. She is a sweet girl but very inexperienced. My daughter and I both have very long hair, I told her this in advance, as I was looking for a new hairdresser closer to me. Upon calling and making an appointment, I got the voicemail and Kylie called me back to schedule and she is who took me as a customer. It's always rolling the dice in choosing a hairdresser. I figured I would give her a try. She said that a haircut comes with a color, which was exactly what I wanted. I wanted highlights and lowlights. Instead, she separated some of my already bleached hair and left that out, and only colored the rest. After that she cut my hair. I was at least satisfied with the cut so I paid her $130.00 plus a $25.00 tip. I knew I wouldn't see her again but maybe she would do better with my daughter. My daughters appointment was for 10:30 AM. We live about 3 minutes away. My daughter didn't get home until 7:00 PM that evening. She told me that not only did Kylie Goetz let her leave without cutting her hair, but my daughter who has hair down past her behind, was a color disaster! My daughter told me that Kylie ADMITTED to making a mistake the first time, so she had to wash it out, blow it dry and start over again. Kylie claims that she told my daughter that she had to strip her hair first. This was untrue. She knew when she completed the first color and took the towel off my daughters hair, that she made a mistake, ADMITTEDLY! Because she was there literally all day, it seemed as though Kylie gave up and cut my daughter loose for the day with no offer to come back again and cut her hair and fix the color. My daughter's hair was a very strange horrible brassy color. She was extremely upset. Kylie charged me $170.00 for this. The right thing to do would have been to charge nothing. That being said, I tried to contact Kylie and alert her of my concerns as my other daughter was going to go to her as well. After seeing my hair and her sisters hair, she asked me to cancel her appointment with Kylie. I texted Kylie with my concerns and she never responded. So I went through my bank and disputed the transaction and because Kylie uses a third party app, my claim was denied and my bank suggested that Kylie and I try to resolve this between us. I again tried contacting her, asking her to return at least half my payment, asking her if it were her in my shoes, would she pay for the service. Again, still no response . If you go to this Salon and Kylie is your hairdresser for the first time, get a haircut only. She isn't experienced enough yet and she could also use some schooling on using professionalism in dealing with customers when you make a mistake with someone's hair of this magnitude. She is a sweet young lady but not yet ready to be a professional hairdresser . I gave her the opportunity to make this right but she refuses to respond or work with me. I am outraged and will continue to fight this to get my payment returned to me. read more

My girlfriend, who had dark brown hair, went there to get white/silver hair. Was there for 5 hours, left unsatisfied with orange hair and was charged $172 dollars. They told her they would have her back in 3 days to get it right. She went in today, and was told it would be $120 more to get it the color she wanted. RIPOFF. I was referred here by a friend who has a relative that works here and I was so impressed. It's a cute stylish salon, especially for Dixon. All the girls are really nice and seem to do a great job. I have gone to Rachel and she was fantastic. They have a huge selection of good hair products too. Prices are very reasonable. They also have a manicure station and offer massages as well. Briggette was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and made my hair look amazing! I would recommend her to anyone looking to polish their look. I have long hair and always deal with stylists cutting off way more than I ask and end up disappointed that I even went. I absolutely love this place. I've been going here for a few years. I admit, I strayed to try someone new and was so bummed I left. I went back very sheepishly, but she was totally cool about it. The ladies here are nice. My stylist is very busy, so I hate having to reschedule appointments sometimes. This is a great place in this small town. read more

they always do a fantastic job, but some of the girls working here can be snotty. Not all of them, in fact, most are nice but there are some that need attitude adjustments. Plus as another reviewer said, expensive, but I always have confidence knowing if I need hair/makeup job done, you'll walk out feeling so beautiful. I do think its worth the money. read more

I drive from Antioch to Dixon to get my hair cut and colored. I only see Katie Cesna but I have never seen anyone leave who didn't look great. It's a quiet peaceful spot and well worth the drive. I have tried the $10 hair cuts and frankly you get what you pay for. read more

This salon was great. I needed to get my hair done and it was right before school started and no one had an opening. The lady went out of her way and called in someone just to do my hair.
