Went in to dye my daughters hair and trim mine and touch up roots. $550 later My daughter's hair was left brassy and multiple tones. She is being bullied at school because they think she did it herself. My 'trim' ended up being like 10in. From my butt just past my shoulders. When Kelli showed me how much it was maybe 3in and below my chest. After she 'trimmed' it the cut ended up being above my chest. We are so beyond disappointed! I came here last week and I had the most horrible experience. I wanted a pink pastel balayage and made it clear not on my roots. Ideally, I wanted the owner to do my hair, but she said she had another stylist named Kelli and that she was positive could do my hair the way I wanted. I'm aware my hair is dark and thick, but I've seen the owner this with other clients. Additions I spent about 5 1/2 hours I got highlights the toner didn't sit so the pink didn't sit very well and it was just not $400 quality hair service. I reached out to the owner since I trusted her with my hair and her stylist didn't meet the expectations or lacked the skills to do that. I was advised to go for a second toner, but at this point, I don't want to waste more of my time and the hair doesn't blend well. Sadly, the owner didn't want to give me some sort of refund and if you're a girl with dark hair, definitely Kelli Is not the stylist or if you are unsatisfied, the owner won't come to an agreement with you. read more

She did not have any openings until after the New Year but had a cancellation last minute for today and I hopped right on it. She left my hair super brassy orange tones with a blunt line at the top of my head. I let her know I was not happy and if she could fix it, she said NO because she's busy, I asked for a full refund considering my hair had breakage. She refused to help me and refused some sort of refund! I feel she didn't care enough to do something to help, she said she's moving in June so I guess to her it didn't matter. I'm truly saddened that I feel the need to submit this review, but I feel it's important for others to know that if you respect your time and expect others to do the same, this salon is not for you (unless you book through Julie or Stefanie, obviously, as they get rave reviews!). Alas, this wasn't the case with me. Jessica was referred to me by one of my good friends and I was initially excited to try someone new, but that excitement was short-lived. For my first appt, Jessica was 10 minutes late with no apology or concern for my time. I gave it another chance 6 weeks later when she called me while I was on my to the appt (I was 15 minutes out from a 9am appt; coming from Davis) to tell me that she would be 30 minutes late due to a mix-up at home. I ended up sitting outside the salon for nearly 45 minutes waiting and, again, no apology or consideration for my time in the least. I was visibly irritated and, still, nothing was said or recognized. THEN, because I'm a glutton for disappointment, I booked ANOTHER appt for 6 weeks out (yesterday, 8/27) and when I texted Jessica to confirm the appt that morning before I left the house (I would have been leaving in 45 minutes to head to Vacaville), she claimed that she didn't have me on her schedule and when I reminded her that we had booked it, stated that the appt "must have slipped by me when I informed everyone I was taking 3 weeks off to get the kids ready for school". Really?! I have kids, too! They also started school! I, too, am busy!! We all have responsibilities and this type of time-management (or lack thereof), lack of commitment and obvious lack of empathy for others' time is disappointing. So, in the end, just heed this warning when booking Jessica through Bloom, as you'll be waiting for the other shoe to drop when she doesn't show up on time or postpones/cancels altogether last-minute. read more

I had Deanna as my stylist and not only was she warm, friendly and super cute but also immensely talented! She took the time to get to know me, my routines, my preferences and my style which translated over to a great cut! The only reason this salon doesn't get 5 stars is because the products they use aren't cruelty-free, which is important to me. But, it's hard to find a good stylist so I'll stick with Deanna and hope that some day they introduce more cruelty-free products into their styling. read more
