I literally made a Yelp account for the first time ever to just leave this review. Absolutely terrible experience that I still think about years later. First, this wasn't my first time here. I'd been before and have extremely curly hair, I booked an appointment with Jordan and she cut it in a way I'd only dreamed of having it cut. However, when I went back for the second time, it was the worst customer service I've ever received anywhere. I booked the service online (haircut only) and came all the way from Sacramento. I arrived on time and Jordan was finishing up with a client. She never greeting or acknowledged me (which I thought was weird), but w/e. Then the last client was taking 15 minutes over, and never once did Jordan make a remark acknowledging it, apologizing or still greeting me. The only reason I knew she even knew for sure I was her client was because I was sitting at a waiting bench directly near her section, and she clearly called on me next after finally finishing the first girl. I finally get in the chair and think it's weird, but again, I loved the cut the first time and was excited. We move on. The entire time Jordan had the most negative energy I've ever experienced with anyone. She was in a bad mood. Apparently there had been an outage on the entire block that had the power go out the week before or something? And all she did was complain about the cost of everything it was going to take to repair and replace her washer and dryers for the studio. Yes, it's a super unfortunate circumstance, but when I tell you none of this was a business-level appropriate complaint about a bad time kinda thing, trust me. I mean it was a "if this is my problem, it's now EVERYONE's problem" kinda energy. Like, girl what? lol She just kept going off... everything was everyone else's fault about this. Tbh- I'm not much of a talker at appointments, so I get hair stylists needing to chat with the room about things, but this energy was diff. Long story short, the appointment I booked was at a rate that was set very clearly online. When we finished, she charged me $50 more than the pricing online. My hair is not extra long, its curly but not matted, not difficult, none of that. Nor was there any explanation given to her from the jump in price. Tbh- I paid it. I knew I was never coming back after that. The entire time she complained about how much everything was costing her and I knew in my gut she was taking it out on clients to pay for it extra even though the agreement online was completely different. On top of her being late and not greeting me, I knew this was something I'd want to tell others about. ---- Main Point, TDLR: The reason I gave it was a 2-star is only because the haircut was good. If you want a good haircut, sure, maybe. But if you want to support good people in your community. Don't go here. There's too many other talented stylists out there to support economically. And if you do.... make sure you are 100% clear up front with Jordan about how much you'll be paying beforehand. Best of luck. read more

I was a couple minutes late to my appointment but I communicated this to the stylist (Jordan) and when I arrived she was styling her own hair and made me wait until she was finished. That's fair- I was about 10 minutes late. She then gets a phone call and answers it in the middle of my cut... kinda unprofessional if you ask me. To top it off, she went crazy with the straight razor and I was left with the strangest shaped hair. I tried to style it to make it look nice but it's unrealistic to have to use heat on hair every day to make it nice or manageable. A good haircut looks good with your natural hair texture. After a few weeks of trying to make the style work, I had to get it fixed. Maybe I was the unlucky customer? After browsing her Instagram, I booked Jordan to do both my hair and makeup for my wedding day as well as my best friend's makeup. She arrived a little before she were to get started, which relived the stress on me, on what is supposed to be one of the most stressful days of my life. She came into the hotel room with a warm smile on her face and was so happy to be there. She started on my best friend's make up first since she would need more time to do all my glam. My best friend's makeup turned out perfect! Then Jordan started on my hair next. I had sent her pictures of what I wanted in the previous weeks and when I tell you it was an exact replica of the picture, it was exact! She installed the clip in hair extensions that I had ordered beforehand too! She then started on my makeup. She really took her time to make sure my makeup was absolutely perfect. When I turned to look at myself after she was done, I was in shock. I was beyond gorgeous. My hair was slaaaayed and stayed in place ALL night throughout the dancing and everything. My makeup stayed PUT, that glam was not going anywhere. It was even nice when I glanced at it the next morning at 2am (yes, I fell asleep with it on) and it was still cute! Super professional. The salon is fairly decent and the staff are super friendly. However, I came in with a picture of what I wanted which was a balayage and got something completely different and in a completely different color than what I asked for. Not to mention, my hair is curly and my stylist was very rough with my hair, damaging much of it in the process. Now my hair is completely fried and falling out. read more

Im giving only one star because i had such terrible experience with JORDAN. I thought shes a good and nice hairstylist but shes not. Yes! She was nice when you do appointment on her. During my appointment on her it was a 3pm i show to her the color that i wanted ofcourse she say oh yes love will do that. All i request was a over all color. She did put some color in myhair it only took 40 mins then she shampoo already. Shampoo and cleaning the hair was rushing . i stil have some black hair dye in my forehead and in the bck of my neck. It was so dissapointed and did not get the color i wanted also ! And guess what i paid $120 for nothing happen in my hair. It only takes one hr and 15 mins the whole session! Oh wow is shes rushing meis it because is she feeling sick that time. Wow is not good excuse!!! Well i will not do my hair to her anymore! it was a waste of money!!!!!!! Better be careful of choosing hairstylist specially for firstimer. She only good in doing blonde and balayage so dont expect shes good in overall because she will not priority you. read more

Reading the reviews, i see the only bad ones on here are about JORDAN and here goes another one. I needed my hair done ASAP so i decided to book with Jordan since my amazing hairdresser Ana @ Pj's hairstyling was completely booked. My hair has been purple for over two years, all i wanted was a root touch up to bring it back up because it was outgrown. She charged me $190 and it didn't even include a haircut and she barely did anything to my hair, and on top of that i was nice enough to leave her a $20 tip. I get home and notice where she bleached my roots was not purple it left a blonde golden tone. I sent her pictures and she was nice enough to "fix it for me" all she did was add dark toner to my roots and basically just brought it down so i looked the same way as when i needed my touch up. It just looks outgrown. I contacted her today NICELY letting her know how i felt about my hair and it wasn't what i paid for If she can fix it for me and she was giving me a smart mouth which is very unprofessional if you ask me. I told her i didn't want to go back to her because of how she was speaking to me and asked for a refund since i basically paid for nothing and never received it back. All the bad reviews on here are about her and it's sad that this issue will never be resolved since it's her MOMS salon and clearly the only reason she got the job there. I still want my $200 back so i can use that to get my hair fixed that she messed up with someone who knows how to do their job. read more

I went Jordan 2x within February. She's nice and easy to talk to but she came late to both appointments. As for my hair it was alright. I was in a rush the first time so I didn't get to critique it as much I got ombré and bayalage but 2weeks later my hair looked like new grow. I got comments that my hair looked like it was done three months ago. Since I was so unhappy with my hair I just my hair darkened 90$.I thought it was a good deal but going back 2x in a month is expensive. read more

I moved over here a year ago and haven't been able to find a great hair stylist, I've gone through 4 people. Until I found the best person to do my hair, JORDON she is amazing she really listened to what I've been through and what I didn't want and what I really wanted. We looked at color ideas that she has done and found the right one, she cut and styled my hair (first time I liked the style and didn't go home and wash it to change it.) the best it's ever been done by a stylist. I just need to say that I am in love with Jordan lol I went to her and asked her to dye my hair dark brown (&she did and it was gorgeous!) less than 2 months later I came back and begged her to dye my hair blonde in time for my wedding (3 DAYS LATER) and she did it. And it was/is beautiful! I was so scared it would come out that yellow orange color and it didn't. She has magical little hands. There is nobody in the world that I trust more than her with my hair.
