I saw some amazing work by one of the stylists Jessica Trejo on someone's Instagram and began following her. The transformation and color corrections were so impressive. I am someone whose hair is often underestimated as most stylists look but do not realize my hair density. I booked a consultation and she spent a good 30 minutes getting acquainted with my hair pattern and what I was looking to achieve. I set my return appointment for color and I am in Love. She gave me exactly what I wanted. The color placement is fabulous and she really worked her magic and made me feel like the most important client. I was never rushed and I had so many compliments already and it's a only been a day. I've been going to Kiara Fernandez for over 5 years now. She has done it all; she cuts my hair, waxes my brows, colors my greys, and listens to my stories no matter how ridiculous or boring. I have gone through many different hairstyles with her from fixing my bangs, going to an A line (long front, short back) bob, adding purply peek-a-boos to my hair when I just wanted whimsy, to going back to a warm brown, she has done EVERYTHING for me. I like that I can just tell her what I'm in the mood for, if I'm bored or if it feels heavy, and she knows exactly what I need. Sometimes I don't need a full cut, sometimes I just need to freshen up my layers, but she knows EXACTLY what to do to keep my hair did. She's really knowledgeable about products too. I have tried a lot of different blow dry sprays, dry shampoos, color dye shampoos, and conditioner to keep my hair fresh or to add a little bit life to them when they need it. 11/10 I will keep going to her as long as she will have me. :) read more

I have been looking for a hair stylist for so long that I had just given up. I moved from Southern California over 20 years ago and I have finally found my salon and hairstylist. Better late than never. I had ruined my hair earlier this year by getting highlights around my face. Worst thing ever. I hated how damaged my hair got. I walked into this salon hoping to find someone to help me get my hair in better shape. I first spoke with Maria. She was busy with a client but told me to sit down on couch and she would advise me as soon as she was done. I decided to take her up on her offer. She was very polite and I wanted to at least talk about it with her. She suggested that I get a keratin treatment and color my hair all one color and not continue with highlights. She made me an appointment with Angelica. I was a little apprehensive because, well on some levels I had just given up. I came in 2 days later and was pleasantly surprised when I met Angelica. She's very young but very serious and reviewed the process with me. It took over 3 hours but they were the best 3 hours ever spent on my hair. My hair was soft and manageable and all one color. Today I went back to get my color touched up and the second keratin treatment but only at the blow out. Once again Angelica was very professional and is very good at what she does. To the owner of this salon; "you have have 2 great young ladies working there." The salon is very welcoming. Clean and organized. They also have snacks, bonus. Just would absolutely love to rave about Rachelle Pledger. Not only is she the sweetest soul, but she knows exactly what she's doing with every inch of your hair. My hair is so thick and I know it's extremely time consuming, she tackled my mop like a champ! Vivid Pro literally. My hair was black as It gets and she took me from that to bright blonde to purple to blonde to blue ( when you do this keep in mind It has to be in multiple sessions not just one! ) and there's always a reason behind It! I am so happy I found this salon and Stefanie. I was in desperate need of a new stylist to correct a bad dye job when one of Stefaine's photos popped up on my Instagram as a sponsored post. Scrolling through her page I was thoroughly impressed with her work so I decided to email requesting a consultation. Stefanie was quick to reply and invited me to the salon to meet in person to go over my needs. During the consultation she explained what her plan of action would be to get my hair color corrected and was very transparent about how much it would cost. Stefanie was also able to squeeze me in for an appointment by coming in on her day off. Stefanie was easy to talk to throughout my appointment and explained that all of the products and dyes she uses contain no harsh chemicals to maintain the integrity of the hair during a color service. I have to say my hair is now softer than before I came in for my appointment, and I didn't even get it trimmed! I have found my new "go-to" salon. This post is long overdue- I got this balayage almost a year ago. I have always gotten my haircut by Kiara and it has always been PERFECT, wouldn't change a thing. I decided to do something different to my virgin black hair which I had not colored in over 10 years and so I was pretty nervous about what the outcome would be but Kiara did exactly what I had envisioned. I used to live in LA and then moved to Portland for a year and during my time away, I always came back for Kiara for my haircuts. Other salons just have not been able to cut my thick hair, and I have been all over the place! I highly recommend her for all of your hair needs! By the way, Kiara cuts my sister's hair too and she has coarse curly hair (unlike me) and Kiara is the only stylist she has been able to find to cut her hair perfectly as well. Here goes a a long one! I elected to utilize this business for service when our regular stylist became unreliable being late. They were recommended by coworkers and I have heard the name of the Salon over years. I found their website and booking process very professional. I initiated contact for haircuts for both of my teen daughters on 7/12. Over several days of communication re: style and inspiration desired, an appropriate stylist was selected for them and booked by 7/17 for appointments on 7/30. Awesome! One of my daughters required this haircut for a scheduled event 8/1. On 7/18, I noted the level stylist we were initially booked with was not necessary for the cuts requested and sent message for clarification. I received response 7/18 confirming the error and was promptly rebooked with an appropriate stylist for the same date. We were happy customers at this point and gloating about how professional the communication had been thus far. Now onto where I become disheartened, irritable and disappointed. 7/30 arrives and I wake up at 9:20 to a text that came in at 0852 from the stylist that she would have to cancel both our 11 and 12 am appointments indicating "...I'm very sorry but I came down with a cold and still showing symptoms. I don't want to risk getting you sick, can we please reschedule?" I responded asking clarification if residual symptoms? Or residual symptoms and also don't feel well? (0922) I text that we are comfortable with residual symptoms if we are masked, but if she also did not feel well then the cancellation would make sense. (Message read ) (0949) I move forward to ask if there is someone who we could be rescheduled with the same day. (Message read) (1018) I text that one daughter can wait. The other was anticipating hers done before Sunday and ask if there is someone else who can pick her up the next day as another option? (Message read) (1042) Losing some patience without any responses I text, "Hello again, is there a plan? Or do you prefer me to check in on at the main communication number to see if they can offer assist?" (Unread or message receipts turned off) (1105) I write, "I have reached out to the main number to see if they could assist. Thank You." (Unread or message receipts turned off) (1105 ) I text main number of the business I initially did all original communication with, with the following. "Good Morning. We have a dilemma. Our stylist had to cancel this morning due to illness. I communicated to her that one of my daughters can wait and that one specifically needed hers done before Sunday. I inquired if there is another stylist that could take that daughter today and presented tomorrow as a back up option if another stylist has availability. (Tomorrow is not a preference because I don't know if I can arrange to be present, but I can get her there) I have yet to hear back from her, so I have elected to reach out here. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Please call me directly to arrange." ( 8/3 149pm) Now 3 days later and no response from main business line. I can no longer be patient and respectfully request my personal information and credit card required be deleted. (251) The main business line responds, "Hello your account has been deleted and any credit card information you have given us as well." Jaw drop and laugh! Lol Like really? I feel they were eager enough to lose a customer rather than keep a customer. No acknowledgment about my previous text that their stylist cancelled. As for the stylists illness, my personal opinion is that if the illness was NOT NEW or SUDDEN as it appeared from the text since she stated she was having "lingering symptoms" it would have been responsible and more professional to reach out during illness stating, I'm sick, I don't know if I will be well enough the morning of our appointment and may have to cancel if I still do not feel well or have lingering symptoms. In the 3 day interim of reaching out to the business main line, the stylist also never came back to respond to any previous texts whatsoever. I was hoping she would maybe check in a day or two later and apologize for lack of communication or attempt to inquire if I was able to get rescheduled or attempt to reschedule herself. I'm really scratching my head over this experience. My girls and I were really looking forward to something new. read more
