I found Bree through Instagram and although I was hesitant of making this appointment at first, her portfolio on ig persuaded me into messaging her and I couldn't of been happier. Since it's been years from my last (professional) hair cut( I had been "DIY"ing my hair, especially since Covid-19 and it was a mistake on my part. Do not trust YouTube if you still have to go into public... especially if you still have to go to work) I noticed my ringlets going flat and losing a ton of my volume. I needed help bad. Vibe Salon is a "vibe" that you do not want to go back to. I recently contacted the salon for a specific shampoo & conditioner (Davines Purple Love Shampoo and Conditioner) and I was asked to provide my name and contact information because the worker was currently "washing" a client. The worker stated that they received a new shipment and that she would check after her client and contact me back. I understood and expected a call back in less than an hour but I received a call back 3 hours later and an hour before the worker was off. At this point I was already irritated because I wanted to wash my hair that same day and it was already getting late. I then informed the worker that I would be coming in the next day (New Years eve) to pick it up. The worker stated that someone would be in the shop around 11am so I came in the afternoon and waited at the receptionist standing. NO ONE greeted or helped me until I began pacing back and forth. There was literally a stylist working on a client in a chair and she clearly seen me standing from the receptionist area. The worker's chair that was diagonal from the receptionist and closest to the front entrance was inconsiderate and ignorant. This Salon lacks customer service skills and are not professional. I will not be purchasing any more items from this place. My first & last coming here! I will be purchasing the Davines product at a different local salon and/or online. read more

Do not book with Kailee. She's an inexperienced, naive, disrespectful stylist and doesn't put the client first. I showed her three pictures of what I wanted which were basic highlights. Her end result was an over all bright yellow blonde color with no highlights or any dimension. This took her over 4 hours and she wanted over $300. The times I've spent $300 or more on my hair was with an excellent salon and with a very well experienced stylist. Kailee is far from this. The first pic (the girl with black and white stripes) is the sample of how I want the color. I want it really subtle. And the rest is my hair about 10 days later. Not subtle at all. And Kailyn trim my hair but it seems that one side was cut straight up made the other sides looks longer. I spent $150 plus tip for this service. I'm so disappointed. It's definitely the SUBTLE color I want and it seems like I just color my whole hair hair!! Thank you Maura for giving me the confidence to go short! I have always wanted to, but other people have talked me out of it, including a few stylists over the years! My hair is fine in texture but thick in quantity - if you share this hair type, you know how difficult it is to style. It goes limp easily and doesn't hold texture...while at the same time feels heavy even when cut short and layered. In the past, I was convinced I was too low maintenance to do super short hair, but I think I was lazy about my hair because it was too much work when it was long. 90% of the time I just had it in a messy, heavy bun. I would curl or straighten maybe 4x a year and half the time it didn't come out right. I worried that styling short hair would be too much for me and others have convinced me that was true. Maura was the first person to tell me that yes, short hair is more work in terms of getting it cut and having to style it daily, but at the same time it's faster to style. In that way it's kind of a wash for me personally in terms of whether short hair is higher maintenance. That wasn't something I had considered before. So if you have ever wanted to go short but have been afraid to, find yourself a stylist who is confident about it with you! It makes all the difference. I have also done color correction with Maura and she was so sweet and patient despite how long it took to correct the absurd amount of hair I had. Creating ash tones on Asian hair is very difficult but she was great at lifting out the brass tones and creating more taupe/ash dimensions. She is also just super chill and easy to hang out with, and the vibe of the salon and other hairstylists is relaxed and fun. As someone who is introverted and not super girly I usually feel like an awkward sore thumb at hair salons, but I always feel comfortable here. Plus it's so clean and cute inside! I have had my hair done by Brandi Killen a few times & the way how she handles situations when she does a mess up is completely un fair . I had a beaded " move up " apt with her & that was initially supposed to be the only appointment, however she was mentioning to me that my hair needed to have a re-installment in order to fix the issue at hand with my beads growing out word instead of down ( Poor placement of the Wefts / beads tend to have a big role with how the hair will grow out with the beads and so I had many pieces that were growing outward instead of growing down nicely. With that being said there were many times where she had to cut the weft in order to fix her mistakes with the placement of my head. Again I had only had the intention to do a mover but she wanted to do a re-installation which costed $300 plus I gave her a $50 tip to support her business . After she did the installation I told her that I was very unsatisfied with how it looked that she ended up doing it way too high but she told me she was out of time and did not have enough time to re-fix the install to my hair. I was in the chair for about three hours .. I understand we all have a lie however when I contacted her two days later about me being dissatisfied with how my hair looks, she told me she does not have enough time to do a re-install but instead to contact her after my hair grows out and she will do a reinstall but only charge me for a move up. After I had told her initially that I was just satisfied with my hair she told me she does not offer refunds . read more

Had an appointment with Angelica, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my times going to salons. The whole time she was talking about her boyfriend and how crappy her relationship was. She was talking about the vendor that drops off towels and how hot he was, even though he's married. The other stylists were all talking about sex and trash about each guest that would leave the salon, so beware of when you leave that's what's going to probably happen. I was just wondering what they were going to say about me when I left. My hair looked uneven in cut and color. Honestly if Angelica wasn't more focused on gossip, she may have done a better job. I was going to call the owners however I wouldn't want to go back to hear all the nonsense that was being said. The overall shop is cute but cold. When I got there, she welcomed me in and we started talking about hair (cuts, color, etc). It was refreshing to hear her honest opinion about current hair trends, what to do and what not to do. She then went into the process of cutting my hair and triple-checked to make sure each layer was right. Sarah B. is such a miracle worker. Back story about beef with my hair. I had such a traumatizing experience as a teenager. My first time going to prom, I had a short-tempered hair stylist who took out the bobby pins in my hair and threw it at the mirror. YEAH. Ever since then, any time I put my hair up during events was a just a no-no. So, when it came to my wedding, of course, it made me nervous. Thankfully, Sarah B. is so talented, patient, and great at communicating, that during my short hair fiasco, she styled it so that when it grew it out, it would be perfect for my wedding. I think it took about 2 years for it to be long enough to reach my waist. When I did my first trial, she just knew what I had envisioned. She listened to what I wished for and gave advice on what I should do with my bangs. When I saw my hair, I got pretty teary-eyed. You know when it's the one, when you get teary-eyed. During the morning of the wedding, she was just ON IT. She came in, along with another hair stylist, and was prompt and on time. Even when I wasn't ready in the morning, she was understanding and gave me a little time to get the room set-up. With all the chaos going on in the room with my bridesmaids, photographer, videographer, and added guests, she remained very calm. There was a moment when all the electricity just shut off (can you imagine the horror on our faces, hours before the wedding?), she just remained so calm and already has a back up plan of just added twists to our hair to curl it. Now that's what I call improvisation and creativity. She was very focused and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied. I trust her so much and I'm just incredibly thankful she was there. My bridesmaids looked phenomenal. And, for the first time since my prom hair nightmare, I finally felt like a princess on my wedding day! read more

This was my first visit to this salon as I had to find a new hairstylist being mine was booked weeks out. I admit I was super nervous going out of my comfort zone because the stylist that's been doing my hair I knew her on a personal level as well. But let me just say....I am soooo glad I did because I got connected with Julie and I can not say enough about her. After discovering the Last Tangle via Yelp, I reached out to schedule an appointment and quickly received a text message from one of their stylists, Cassandra and was able to book an appointment the very next day. I appreciated the quick and convenient means of scheduling and loved being able to text (rather than call) as I scheduled, so I could easily check my multiple calendars as we discussed. Upon arrival, I found plentiful parking in a lot across the street and easily found the location inside of an identifiable yellow house. I knew my stylist was upstairs (and they have a listing of where each stylist is right by the door in case you don't know.) When I walked upstairs, there wasn't really a receptionist or anything, so I just stood there awkwardly until I caught someone's attention and was able to let them know who I was there to see. On this particular visit, I was looking to take my long, damaged hair much shorter. My hair had been on quite the journey and was recovering from a year-long blonde phase (I'm naturally dark brunette!) As such, it was incredibly damaged and after I colored it back to my natural color and let it sit untouched for about a year so it could grow, I wanted to cut all of the damage off and start fresh. Cassandra was incredibly helpful and non-judgemental as she cut my hair to shoulder length. She frequently checked in with me about the length, as well as my bangs. She pointed out spots that she wasn't super happy with and offered to texturize them, etc. but always asked before doing so. I absolutely love my cut and how fresh and healthy it feels. read more

What I came with: uneven, brassy, borderline orange hair with a mixture of bronze/brown color towards the root on the bottom layer. AKA a complete disaster. Of course, I turned to Yelp and messaged the few salons that were actually open and received a message almost immediately from The Last Tangle that someone would contact me! In comes Maura and I explained my situation to her and she was able to squeeze me in last minute. The best thing about her is that she's AMAZING at doing pixie cuts, a cut that I was afraid of getting for the longest time but wanted to try it out. I stumbled on this salon via Yelp one day last week and managed to get an appointment the very next evening after work. Unfortunately, when I got there, the stylist who originally booked me had to cancel. But the day was saved by Leigh Ann Kimbrough. Leigh Ann was on her last client of the day but was kind enough to take me, because she felt bad that a customer who had an appointment would not get served. Fiver stars for Leigh Ann's customer service! The cancellation turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because Leigh Ann is a very talented stylist. I have been getting so many compliments on my hair the last few days and as long as she does not move out of the area, I will probably make appointments with only her from now on. I usually never post negative reviews, but Kailyn turned my hair orange at the roots and purple at the bottom. I was told it would wash out, and of course the purple would, but brassiness doesn't-which I pointed out. She offered to fix it (free of charge) and instead of highlighting over it to break the discoloration, she tried to tone it, which of course didn't work. I ended up having someone else fix it. Honestly, my time is more valuable than money, which Is why I posted this review. I'm sure other people have had great experiences, but it's hard to explain placing a base bump before highlights. read more
