I've been going to Ashley for a while and this last appointment made me decide to not book with her anymore. Appointment started at 4pm. Ashley told me that she had client coming in soon for a quick haircut. I said okay no problem. We did highlights and I went to the heater in the shampoo room at 4:45pm. 5:00 she shampoos my hair and puts toner on it. 5:10 she washes out my hair and the person shows up. At this point she leaves me in a chair in shampoo room and goes to the person to do the haircut. My hair is wet and dripping and I'm cold. At 5:45 comes to get me to blow dry. This is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I was not going to get a hair cut, I just needed a blow dry and I would have been out the door. She should have finished my appointment first with a blow dry and then focused on the next client. read more

The beauty bar is a great place to get high quality hair color and haircuts. They have classes frequently for the salon cosmetologists for current products and stylist. I attended an open house that was so fun with snacks and beauty products to purchase. The salon is so clean and every cosmetologist is very good. I would recommend them there awesome read more

The Beauty Bar has to be one of the cutest salons I have ever been to. It's super clean, the location is perfect, the staff is always so sweet and everyone that walks out looks amazing! Brittney is my hairstylist and I can't rave about this girl enough! I found her on IG and she was able to fit me in for a last minute appointment. After she touched my hair I was hooked! I have thick, curly, lots of hair and she is the only person that has ever been able to tame the mane. She really knows what she's doing and will make sure you leave with amazing hair you'll love! Another bonus... my hair has never been healthier! Brittney isn't like any normal hairstylist. She's a hairstylist turned into an amazing friend. I walked in to schedule a hair cut and spoke to Amy. She took my information and said someone would call me the next day to schedule a haircut. Amy explained that they were very busy because school was starting soon. I had seen Kara's work on line and suggested she call me. I told Amy that I wasn't in a hurry to get my haircut. Two weeks later when no one called, I went in again. Amy was busy with a client but she recognized me and said she gave the information to Kara. Another lady helped me and said she would remind Kara to call and gave me Kara's business card to follow up. Still no call from Kara THREE days later, I called Kara's cell phone. She was with a client and said she would call me back in 10 minutes. It's now EIGHT days later and Kara has not called. Nor has anyone else from this "salon". Epic fail as a business as well as an independent contractor. Amy nor the other gal is to blame. I am dumbfounded by Kara's lack of professionalism. read more

How great is it to feel welcomed in after a long drive and offered a warm drink? Jaymi is fantastic. She is the perfect marriage of personable and professional. She is great at what she does and l think she is great with hair color. A friend of mine (Mel C!) referred her to me and l have not looked anywhere else since. She has a busy schedule, so book ahead. Let me explain: I've been waiting over a YEAR to get my license updated with my married name because I've been dreading taking yet another picture of the heavy, dark mop that sits atop my head. That all changed today when my hair was given new life with a cut and color by Brittney! Seriously this girl is the sweetest and takes her time getting everything just right. The Beauty Bar is such a trendy Salon! This little GEM is tucked away in Dixon but so worth the drive. Very clean, and well ventilated. It Doesn't have that overwhelming smell of hair dye when you walk in. They have maybe 8 rooms that stylists rent out, a little processing center, and an adorable waiting area! ASHLEY LOWE, colored and styled my hair. My hair is really long touching the end of my back, I had Baylage done by her. She was very quick and thorough adding the color. Although we talked the whole time she didn't let that distract her from doing an amazing job! The whole process maybe took 2 1/2 hours or so. She did exactly what I asked for, and to my surprise the blonde came through so vividly! I'd definitely recommend seeing Ashley. I'm going back for my second session in September! read more

Payten is absolutely amazing! Every time I tried to find a stylist in the South Bay, I kept comparing them to the pictures I had seen from Payten's instagram and none could compare. So I waited till I was visiting family up here to come see her. And it was well worth the wait! I will be making trips all the way from the South Bay just to come see her again for a future cut and color. Highly recommend!!! I absolutely love my new hairstyle! She understood exactly what I wanted and made my hair look even better than I could have imagined. After reading everyone's reviews I was excited to try out the beauty bar. I checked out all of the pictures and clients reviews and decided to reach out to Jeymi C. I texted her and we agreed on 2PM on Friday 3/23 at 1pm I received a text to arrive at 2:20 because she's running late which I can totally understand. I agreed and then at around 1:30 I received yet another text stating and I quote "So sorry I'm going to have to reschedule my other client barely came in" What does another client barely coming in have to do with my appointment? If THEY are late then THEY should have to reschedule! I made arrangements and left work early just so that I can make this appointment and then it gets cancelled with less than an hours notice! That's unprofessional to say the least. Not saying that my business will make or break this place however, there is a service that is being offered by this business and I was disregarded. I'll definitely take my business elsewhere as it's not needed! read more

Payten is an absolute professional rockstar! I had a last minute cancellation from my hair and makeup vendor for my wedding and Payten was available a few months before my big day. She was extremely communicative, receptive and flexible. I showed her a few examples of what I wanted and we had a trial that went great. Then on the day of the wedding, I sort of amended what I wanted and she had no problem adjusting. Her pricing was super fair and her work was incredible.
