Visited multiple times, I went again on 4/1/26, I came in at 3:00pm to get a haircut with Lizbeth and I always leave satisfied! Before coming here, I never trusted barbers due to multiple bad haircuts but wow, Lizbeth changed my whole life and perspective on that by always being extremely attentive and diligent to my hair. Since I visit every couple months, I find it sweet that Lizbeth always remembers small details about me (like my cat, my attempts to cook, etc.) and it's nice to have such lively conversations that makes the appointment feel like a breeze. The salon is quite cozy, every time I've visited everyone seems comfortable and content as the barbers and owner are really friendly and kind! We came to this salon on 1/23/26 because we knew we will be in the area/ My wife made an appointment online on 1/23/26 for 6:20pm and we rushed through traffic to make it on time. When we arrived at 6:17pm, we were told by the staff that the hairdresser had an earlier appointment and that we have to wait a short amount of time for my wife's appointment to start. The star deducted was that we waited nearly 25 mins before my wife's actual appointment to start. When my wife's appointment did start, her hairdresser, Freshta, did a great job was layering my wife's hair. She listened to my wife's needs and it made her night! The ambiance inside the salon was really cool since their namesake is "Scissorhands Salon", they had a lot of Edward Scissorshand art and memorabilia. I love this place and Mary pays so much attention to detail, is patient, and even complimented my hair before and after my haircut! Before my haircut, I had super frizzy and very long chaotic split-ended hair, with a leftover balayage from a year ago. And now it looks so controlled, and matches the reference photo I showed her - layered with a side bang and a U on the back. This is my second time coming here; my first time I had both a haircut and balayage from Eloina which also came out stunning. Decided to try something new this year, and glad I did. I've seen Mary do her color magic a few times as an observer, and she's always knocking it out of the park! I got an Olaplex treatment with a blow-out. It was fine. For the Olaplex treatment, she applied #1 while my hair was damp, left it on for 5 minutes, then applied #2 and left that in for another 10 minutes or so. Then she rinsed it and dried it with the blow dryer. I was disappointed that she didn't finish it up with Olaplex 3. If it was a cost issue, I would have paid extra for it, but I wasn't given the option. All in all, it was fine though. This is an ok place to get this service done. read more

I got my hair cut by Ruby and let me say...best haircut I have ever gotten! I went in having a slight idea of what I wanted, but that was no problem for Ruby. We looked through my references together and picked out what we thought would work best. I booked the all over color and haircut which starts at $160 and the total came out to be around $215. I'd say that's pretty good pricing considering I was there for 4 hours! Ruby was very kind and fun to talk with (we had great conversations). The salon its self was a little tricky to find if you don't know what you're looking for (like me). The inside was very clean and cozy, definitely relaxing. Majority of salons in Sac and Elk Grove had huge wait times to get an appointment and I wanted it NOW before I chickened out. Eloina fit me in for an end of day appontment and I met with Viridiana, who is simply a genius! We had a good consult on what I wanted and what would look good on me. First appointment I got highlights, and it was great coverage for those stubborn hairs. It didn't get brassy and it lightened how it was supposed to. This appointment we did balayage and I am so in love with my hair. It isn't dry, my hair isn't brittle and it just feels so healthy! I'm super blind with out glasses, so I have to put my faith in the stylist even if they check in with me because I can't see what's happening until they're done. The cut is great, easy to style exactly what I wanted. My second stylist was in for a big job, having to match two very different colors. Came in for color and cut with Cynthia who seems to be new and has no idea what she's doing. She was literally taking pictures of my hair and asking a whole bunch of questions because she didn't know. I was told my hair was too dark for bleach and that I could only do a dark color like black. My daughter was also getting color and for some reason the lady that was doing her hair was able to bleach. Cynthia asked how I do my hair (curled or straight) I told her beachy curls and she just uses a blow dryer to wave the bottoms. Not impressed at all!!! Updating this review from 2 stars to 4 stars as Eloina reached out immediately to help make things right, but will leave the rest of the review so others don't go through the same experience. -- I don't like having to write this but feeling ripped off after my experience today. I booked a medium women's haircut given the length of my hair. The stylist felt my hair didn't need to be washed since I'd just washed it a few hours ago and it was still pliable/ workable, and I said that's totally fine if she thought it was okay. The actual haircut was okay, though I thought it was odd that she didn't even consider my face shape between starting. I was wearing a mask since I'm very pregnant and offered to take it off so she could see my face shape as part of her styling considerations, but it felt like she didn't really care either way. I figured okay, she's the expert here. The whole thing took about 20 minutes from sitting down to paying. $60 plus $12 (20%) tip. It felt super pricey and off to me, but I couldn't pinpoint quite why, so I thanked her and left. When I got home I looked on their website and saw that I should've been charged for an express haircut given how simple my haircut was and since there was no wash, no product used, no blowdry. Literally just a quick cut. And that's the definition on their site (20 min and no blow dry). This should've been proactively pointed out by the stylist, instead of charging me for a more expensive service. I was really hoping this would be my salon in Davis but guess I'll look elsewhere next time. read more
