This place used to be decent, but it's gone way down hill. The past two cuts I've gotten have been disastrous. And it's way more expensive than it used to be. I'm a man with longer hair. I always ask for the same thing at every barbershop: trim and keep the layers. Supercuts has completely messed up this simple request twice in a row. Last time, the stylist merged my layers together, leaving two clearly visible 'tiers' of hair. This time, the stylist deleted the layers entirely, effectively giving me a bowl cut. Even worse, one side was about an inch longer. Not only are the haircuts bad, they cost almost $40 after tip.

I'm livid. It's so much shorter than I asked for I check in again online, go back in, and Jamie (bless her soul) IMMEDIATELY recognizes the error. She brings me back swiftly and fixes it. Now unfortunately, she had to take off even more to get it balanced. Her customer service was spectacular and I can tell she was mortified. I was on the verge of tears leaving the store. It took everything I had not to cry while she was cutting it. I won't be back unless it's for her. I understand my original stylist was new but while I was waiting originally the haircut before mine she had to ask for help from another stylist, which shows that she could probably benefit from some mentorship or continuing education so she can improve.

I requested a full removal of builder gel, a trim back down to my natural nail length, and then a regular gel polish. The removal itself was fine, but I did feel a little uneasy because the technician using the electric drill was frequently looking away from my nails while the drill was still pressed down. Once the gel color was applied, I asked for what I thought was a fairly simple leaf design. The first attempt unfortunately looked very messy and uneven--almost like a child had drawn the leaves. I ended up waiting for another technician to finish her client so she could redo the design. The second tech did improve it, but the process took much longer than expected. Overall, the solid color gel application was fine, but it seems like more practice may be needed for nail art designs.

Anyways, I liked the makeup they did. It was exactly what I asked for. But the haircut was not. For reference, my hair was very long before, past my butt, and now it is barely below my shoulders. I kept reiterating that I did not want it short, and that is exactly what I got. I also wanted my hair in layers, and it is barely in two layers, not what I wanted unfortunately. Now I have to wait another two plus years to grow it out again. (Paid $252 this second time) I think the person in charge could definitely be more professional. He is also the one who washed my hair the second time I went in, and I honestly do not think he knew what he was doing. Not only did a lot of water get in my ears, but my back got really wet, and he forgot to remove my towel. I probably would not come back here.

What's icing on the cake is another customer had a 12:30 appointment and came in much after me and was seen before me :/. I'm glad it worked out for him. But honestly the customer service was terrible for me. I felt so frustrated and sad on what was supposed to be a fun self care me time. I don't need an excuse and a reason for your mistake. Own up to it. If you do care about your customer then do something about it. Don't just smile and give some excuse that it's okay and it's not that late. I would have preferred to be called or texted. If you're running late let your customer know. Don't lie and force them to sit and wait with not knowing when they'll be seen. Perhaps you should have asked me if a 1 pm appointment would have been okay. But instead they did not do that. They told me it would be soon when in reality it was much much later. They had no regard for my feelings or time. I also have found that in order to try to catch up on time to make for another appointment (whoever would have been after me) there's always a risk that they might rush you. And that is not something I want to ever risk for my hair and color. My time is valuable too and that was disregarded and disrespected. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. Customer service is everything in the business I choose to support.

I usually don't write reviews, but I'm this case, it's so worth it. I am very picky about my hair and wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. I have waist long hair length and looking to get some highlights and long layers. I came in to Picasso Salon and immediately felt at home beautiful and fun! This place is so cool and I was greeted by one of the stylist she sat me down and really understood my needs. My hair looks fabulous just what I wanted ! I have been going to this salon since my freshman year and now I am a junior! I am from Sudan so I have very thick, curly, frizzy hair. I've visited multiple salons and this is the only salon in Davis where I am able to get an amazing blow dry. It looks fresh, it does not frizz up and lasts my days. I am a regular customer! Not only do I get the desired hair style that I want but it always feels like I am walking into such a family atmosphere every time I visit! From long curls, to a short bob, Rosie knows how to cut and style hair. I've always been super happy with the transformation. Further, I also have my hair colored.
