I do not recommend this place. I paid over $25.00 for a simple cut where Ninos, PrimeTime, Primos are way less. My haircut was not what I wanted and when I expressed that to peter he got defensive. He also charged me TWICE just for fixing my hair. I should of listen to friends and reviews. I think enough is enough. I have been coming to pro clips when others are booked over the past few years but the doors are finally shut. I will not be returning to this place. I never know what type of haircut I will get, if it will be good or bad or If I'm going to get doubled charged for fixing hair when it should be negotiable for such shitty work. I'm also confused on how he charges. The wall says $19.00 but the husband who was waiting with his kids got the same cut I did got charged $22.00. I've hear horror stories about this place over charging, thinking they are an LA salon with reputable people and work. That is not the case here. If he charging extra because he is using some "Miracle collagen" crap then it should be forewarned. I've also been getting my haircut here for over 5 years. I'll try to make this review as fair as I can. I've been coming here about 3 times a year for 5 years so something had to be okay with it!? Out of the 4 people In My family who've gotten their hair done here, 2 of us continued to get haircuts at this place (while the other 2 absolutely hated their first experience). Anyway, I would come In and get a trim here and there, and I would always walk away pretty satisfied, and the customer service was nice enough so I didn't look elsewhere. The prices have gradually increased over the years too, and in my opinion they're charging more than I think is acceptable for this place... they've begun to think they can charge people salon prices when they're really just a dingey hole-in-the-wall by Safeway. My dad has even said, and I quote, "They think they're some kind of artists or something." So what brings me to write this review after 5 years of coming here?? A $200 dollar mistake. I repeat, two hundred dollars. I REGRETTABLY got my hair dyed here the other week, and all I can say is it definitely wasn't what I wanted. My family even warned me against getting it dyed here, but I didn't listen bc I felt comfortable coming here. I made an appointment for highlights and showed the girl two pictures, and she replied "oh no, don't worry, what you want is an ombré I'll take care of it" and little ol' me trusts her, cuz hopefully she knows what she's doing, right? At the end I was disappointed and I think she could tell, and we made an appointment for the following month to "try to bring the color up." Then after paying I walked right out, like duces guys. I went home and cried for 20 minutes in the shower as I washed out the heaps of product and hairspray she put in it at the end to style it. I gave myself a few days to see if i could get used to the new style, but I just hated it every time I looked in the mirror. I understand they're not mind readers, but I was still so disappointed and the price really stung. I went back to talk to the manager to cancel my appointment because I obviously didn't want my hair dyed there again, and i intended to work out something with the price. he basically told me that I should have communicated better, and he didn't offer any kind of reimbursement.... which is what pissed me off the most. So long story short I'm very disappointed with the color, price, and service I got after I came in to try to work something out. My family has been coming here for a while, but we definitely won't be after this. Since then I've gone to an ACTUAL salon and had my hair fixed as best I could for way less money. Peter is amazing, caring, fast and understanding. This is the only place i take my son who is on the autism spectrum and Peter always shows a lot of patience and works with what he was given even during the difficult haircut times. He always makes extra time for my son and is usually the last haircut of the day but that always works for us and him. I cannot explain in words how grateful I am to have a hair stylist like Peter! By the way the place is freshly painted and remodeled and all CDC guidelines were being followed customers were wearing masks and so was Peter, spacing in between clients for sanitation purposes. I had been going to pro clips for a couple years to Hailey and then Britney. This last time I went Britney butchered my hair and my moms hair. The lengths were not even, I had a highlight and lowlight done, she did not blend them and I have one side with highlights and the other with lowlights. I also told her I wanted a pixie cut, she gave me a medium cut instead, so I came back a few days later and was given an attitude because I did not have an appointment. I asked her again for the pixie cut, she told me because my high hair line she could not do it, funny cause I used to get one with Hailey before she left. Britney over charge me for her mistakes too. I just moved to Dixon back in August and haven't really had a chance to get to know the area. My 30th birthday is coming up so I decided to get my hair professionally colored for the first time and a hair cut. I researched Salons in the area and visited a few to get prices. I spoke to Peter and Brittnay today. They were very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. They gave me a wonderful price for a hair cut and color. They also do nails and a pedicures so I will probably be doing that also. So I will definitely be making my appointment later today. The Salon was clean and smelled nice, which was surprising because they were coloring someone's hair when I came in. It is also very spacious and the booths (stations) weren't crammed together. I paid 28 dollars for two hair cut one for my son, wich he wanted to keep long so it just got trimmed, a total of less than 5mins, and a cut for myself, wich took less than 3mins, no hair on the ground, no styling done or even brushed..I asked how he came up with that number when boys cuts are usually 9 to 12 bucks, he says he has to keep his doors open..I personally don't enjoy paying some one 3 hundred an hour, wich its actually comes out to more than that at 28 dollars for two 5 min cuts.both wich look Un touched, and no hair on the ground..I personally would not even send my worst enemy there! My jaw hit the floor, and don't recamended going there for any simple cut..I could have done better myself, with a mirror and clippers..and had more hair on the floor..What a crock of shit, to tell a customer oh well I have to keep my doors open..It's not going to happen that way!.. read more

Not impressed. I just moved here and am flat broke. The haircut looks sort of okay from a distance. When i didn't want to pay extra for a razor cut the care and quality of the cut went to poop. Instead of 3 inches off I got 4 - 6 and my bangs are crooked - even after I explained what I needed done to them. Even my teen age niece noticed the bad lines (they're supposed to cut in a guide and she just chopped so my layers aren't even layers - they're just chopped levels of hair). The manicure was good. The girl's station was clean and she used proper techniques and she was very friendly. I desperately needed a manicure so that's why I went to this salon instead of super cuts. The problem was with the salon itself. As she was finishing my cut I realzied she didn't use a new comb on my hair - I think it was the same one from the person before me - if nothing else she set it on her dirty, hair covered station. She didn't sweep up the prior person's hair... basic salon sanitation. She smelled awful, too... whether diet or lack of bathing, bad business. On top of all of that I paid $5 for the nail tech to shampoo me and a dollar to use my debit card - that was reflected in her tip. Won't be back because I don't like dirty hair salons. read more

I give them a 1 rating because I went to get a perm from a hairstylist named Britney. She completely fried my hair, she cut my hair, and left it uneven.Afterwards there was no perm. My hair was not curly as I requested. I was completely dissapointed with the results of my visit. Britney should've known that when you mix perm and bleach it can damage your hair.which could result with your hair falling out. And I never knew that until I went to go get my hair fixed from another salon. If Pro Clips were professionals they would've known this.And I spoke with the owner Peter, informing him that i bleached my hair previosously with him. I'd always had my hair cuts and dyed my hair as well with him, but when that happend I never went back and I never got my money back either. A customer should'nt leave dissapointed from a salon, they should be satisfied with their hair. They didnt fix anything. If you guys are planning to get a perm or a nice hair color , i dont recommend this place at all ! i spent alot of money for my damaged hair, my hair was a complete mess ! read more
