I feel bad writing this review because the lady's were really nice but they did nothing. I asked for a French gel pedicure. They only put my feet in water. They made it look like they cut my cuticle but they didn't, they just tapped on my nails. I was barely 15 minutes into the pedicure and they were already painting my nails. My toes look like I did them at home. I payed $40, I was going to drive off but I went back and I told them that they didn't do anything and I wanted either a refund or a discount. They know that they did wrong because they gave me $20 back. I don't recommend this place. The place is not organized and the towels are dirty. The place was lonely when I got there. I don't understand why give such a lame service and then expect to get payed well? I'm sorry but it's not it. read more

Oh my, I'm shocked at how terrible my nails came out. I went in for a gel manicure. The only thing she did was paint my nails and a quick file. No cutting or fixing cuticles (which is the main reason I go to get manicures). Again just the gel polish. Did not even clean all the powder around the nails after filing. The paint job is terrible as well and is already lifting from around the edges of my nail and top of the nail. I will not be coming back here. read more

Well...my pedicure took 15 minutes including the painting. Need I say more? They get two stars for being real friendly (I would give more but that's all they had going for them), zero stars for the services. I also question the cleanliness, I didn't see her put the implements she used on me in quats, just rinsed with soap and put back on a tray for future use...yikes! read more

First of all the place looks very out dated and has old stuff in there. They rush you and rush your nails! I swear I had to make the lady fix about 17 things on my nails! One woman was very rude and kept looking at the clock while doing my nails. And on top of that every employee was speaking Vietnamese loudly the entire time and laughing. I've been to nail shops that have a policy if employees speak in Vietnamese while your getting your nails done your nails are free!!!! Also looks unclean. My nails turned out okay after my mom yelled at the woman for giving me misshaped nails. They fixed them but they still don't all match. I will definitely not be returning here ever again. I've gone to Cystal nails a couple times. And after this last time, I will not being going back. First of all, ALL of my nails have air bubbles under them, so fungus can get in, and the acrilic has lifted from my nail because they brushed it up onto my finger, my nails are lumpy, NOT even, and the paint job is HORRIBLE! To top it off, my sister had her nails done at the same time and the owner cut into her finger with the electric drill, and took the drill piece with the blood on it and did not sanitize at all, and used it on the next person! I did a walk in today they took me a crystal nails she thinned out with the person prior had done. excellent excellent job. I haven't had such beautiful nails done so effortlessly, quickly and professionally for an inexpensive price as well. Me, my mom, and my sister have been coming to crystal nails for many years. I stick the the pink and white gel nails... when i leave i get compliments for weeks after about how nice my nails are! Its my girly moment!! And my mom has made me a pedicure-a-holic..... I have to have pretty toes!! I love coming in and getting pampered! Went to MJ Nail bar today for the first time. Thought I would go for a pedicure with gel polish as £33 seemed like a good deal. The end result was fine. However, I sat in the massage chair with my feet soaking for about 1/2 an hour before my treatment started. It wasnt anything special as I didnt have my feet massaged which I was looking really forward to! The only thing the pedicure involved was the removeal of hard skin and cuticles, which in the process of doing they managed to make my toe bleed! The whole thing took 1 & 1/2 hours which was far to long. I think next time I will stick to Diamond Nails in Godalming they are brilliant! On the plus side I did buy 4 Barry M nail varnishes for £10. Overall I wouldn't recomend anyone to go there! :( read more

I went in the day before my birthday to get a full set. This was my first time in and i was seated right away. The place was not very busy at all, but she had me sitting there waiting for about 20 mins. & when she finally did get to working on my nails, she kept putting me on hold to work on other customers & book appts... So what seemed like forever for her to do my nails, the finished product looked rushed and with little no effort... There were a ton of bubbles in my nails, & what were suppose to be square nails, looked square on one side of the nail and round on the other, & that was for every nail... & thennnn, not even a week after having my nails, they started to just POP off!!! I went to Crystal Nails in the plaza next to Walmart on Elmira Rd in Vacaville CA to get Gel nails put on for a special party and I will never go back there!! The gel started peeling off by the next day so I had to go to the party like that!!! When the girl did my nails, she seemed like she was in a rush so she didn't put as many layers on as she should and she kept telling me to take my hand out from under the heater after 15 seconds instead of 45 seconds so I could put the other hand under! I asked her about it and she waved her hand at me and said"I know what I'm doing!!! I believe she did know what she was doing but didn't care enough to do a good job!! When I left there, I had dips in my nail beds, rough spots, and small areas with no polish!!! What's even worse, when I went back there to have her fix it, she was so rude to me, telling me again that she knew what she was doing, and saying "whatever" until another customer came in! Then she just didn't say anything!!! She tried to rush through it again but I wouldn't take my hand out of the heater until the 45 seconds were up! The re do was not much better! I am very disheartened by the poor treatment I received here!!! I said thank you on the way out and she just dismissed me with her hand!! Of all the nail salons I've been going to over the past 5+ years this is the worst experience I have ever had. To start they don't know how to take off gel polish. Rather than applying individual foils to each finger nail (like any quality salon) they have you dip your entire hand in nail polish remover tubs for over 10 minutes making your entire finger tips pruney and leaves for finger tips with a weird texture (which has lasted me over 2 days). They also reused the nail polish remover tubs and never clean them out which is not sanitary. Secondly, they don't actually cut your cuticles or in anyway improve the look of your nails. Rather, my lady just pretended to look at each finger with the cuticle clipper in hand and then didn't actually cut anything. This applied to both my manicure and pedicure. I did not get a massage during my pedicure as well. Basically this was a nail cut and polish, but definitely not a full manicure / pedicure treatment. Lastly, the application of the polish was sloppy - I have polish all over my cuticles and skin around my toes 2 days later and I had to request a third coat of polish even though the color clearly had some patches which it still does. I believe I had the owner and it was clear to me that there was a lack of cleanliness as just pure laziness. I could have done a better job myself and this was a total waste of money. I hope this helps others and overall improves the quality of service they provide moving forward. read more

Crystal Nails USED to be good about 3 years ago, but I recently went back to them about 2 weeks ago and their service was HORRIBLE. They did a very cheap and crappy job on my nails, they were more focused on being paid before the job was done, and to top it off, I lost 2 nails less than a fucking week after having them done from just scratching my arm. Yes, SCRATCHING my arm! I have never paid for such a shitty nail job in all my life. After the nails broke I called and made an appointment to come in and have the nails that broke fixed after just having them done 5 days ago, and when I arrived they were all working on people, I had things to do in about an hour and expected to be seen at my appointment time, which is why I called ahead. But instead these rude bitches had 3 walk-ins they started on instead of me when I had an appointment and just 2 nails to fix! They were so rude it's unbelievable. I called another nail salon who would have fixed the nails for free but they didn't have the polish colour I needed and I didn't have the time to wait anymore. I'd already waited over an HOUR past my appointment time, had to cancel my plans, and they just threw the nail on and did a real fucked up job, didn't shape it or follow proper nail procedure, and guess what?? It popped off the next day! I will NEVER be returning to this nail salon and will be advising my friends to do the same. If you're thinking of getting your nails done here, I would go elsewhere fast!
