After trying to make an appointment online and having trouble with the website, I drove over to the salon and tried the front door. Door was locked so I looked for a side door. I was trying to look through the windows when the door opened slightly and a woman asked what I wanted. I asked for a pedicure appointment. She opened the door and said I could have a pedicure right away. She gave me a pedicure very efficiently. Turns out she does pedicures on Wednesday and Friday. She asked me to call before arriving. my friend posted a picture on her Instagram about this place & tagged the nail salon & her nails looked good! so I went onto the Instagram & saw their work. I like how you're able to book an appointment via an easy access website that is also linked to this Yelp. took less than a minute to book an appointment & I actually had to change mines 3 times because of other commitments I had & it was easy each time to change it. I had my appointment today at 1PM & I was about 15ish minutes early. I think I originally booked my appointment with Mia through the Yelp app but I just waited 5 minutes & I was actually helped by Eric! I really enjoyed my experience here OVERALL, Eric was really great! he took his time filing each one of my nails into coffin/ballerina shaped. he actually told me & explained to me about gel nails, gel polish, & acrylic with colored powders all differ & I really appreciated that because I didn't know that there were acrylic colored powder. there were samples of the acrylic colored powders on the table where I was seated at & it caught my eye because they were all beautiful nude shades, which are my favorite & really only colored nails I get! he told me that acrylic colored powder looks better on the nails. when it came time to pick my nail color, I was gonna go for my usual nude color, but I saw they had mood changing gel nail polish! I chose a grey-then turns black on cold surfaces which is totally not my usual nail color. I got so many compliments when I went out after I got my nails done today! I checked in on Yelp & I got two free nail designs & I chose hello kitty :) it was super cute accent nail stamps on my ring fingers. talking about ambiance, it's beautiful everything looks brand new & it's so nice & quiet (relaxing) than your usual nail place that is basically like a fast food (hah fast paced - lots of people & you don't get quality) because I think they just recently renovated according to Eric. I've been to two other places for lash extensions and while, I was never unhappy with the quality of work at other places, I was happiest with the final result here. Mia is, in a word, amazing! She genuinely enjoys doing the work and it shows. She's extremely patient and spent a lot of time going over what I wanted and afterwards, had suggestions for how we could amp it up even more. She's also got a sweet personality that makes you feel comfortable and you can truly feel her excitement about providing quality services. Speaking to my overall experience: Parking at the salon was easy. They've got a shared private lot in the plaza. Her studio was clean and organized. She was gentle and quick but not hurried, which is crazy considering the amount of attention to detail required in this process. She also wasn't pushy about add-ons or products. The lashes lasted well through about 2.5 weeks, which is about right. Most people have to do fills every 2-3 weeks. Everyone/eye is different, depends on your personal care and shedding. For example as of right now, about four weeks out from my session, a good amount of left lashes are still hanging on strong while most of my right have come off. But, I also like to use oil-based face wash (because it's much better at removing my makeup), which is kind of a no-no because it can loosen the lash glue. So all things considered, definitely quality work. Overall: To be honest, I wasn't sure lash extensions were worth the trouble and expense I had been going through to get them. They save me some time in the morning, but they require a bit more maintenance than some people realize and I hadn't found the exact look I was going for in my past applications. I kept trying and hoping for the best and always ended up feeling a bit disappointed. All that said, Mia's got me coming back for more. read more

I'm usually not one to get acrylic nails put on, I normally opt for just a gel polish but I decided to try this place out due to so many positive reviews. I got a full set coffin style put on by Mia and absolutely loved them! Instead of taking them off after 3 weeks I decided to go back in for a fill. This time Mia's husband, Eric, did the fill. I was just as happy with my nails. I did happen to break a nail so I scheduled an apt to get it fixed. The girl who fixed it for me was Naomi. She was very nice and didn't charge to replace the nail because it was still within the week time period I guess. Overall, this place is very clean, a nice staff, and my favorite thing is that they are appointment only which makes me happy because I know they are taking their time focusing solely on me and not trying to rush because of walk ins like at other salons. read more

I always wondered why this place has no business now I know. I went in to this place twice. The first time I went in I asked for a manicure and the guy at the front desk response was "that it? just manicure??? " very rude and unprofessional! I did not go back for more than a year and stopped in last night with my 2 year old daughter again I asked for a manicure and not only did I get the same response... But was then told "you better watch that baby! " SERIOUSLY????? My daughter was standing there holding my hand saying hi! I am confused why a business who caters to women would treat a mother like that. I of course walked out and wentand had my nails and daughters nails done elsewhere. Nice family working here but the gel manicure I got here left my nails DAMAGED!!!! The person doing my manicure used a drill sander on my nails BEFORE applying the polish. She told me this helps the gel nail polish adhere better. Well the color stayed on well for about a week and then I had to have it taken off and my nails are now stained yellow/gray and very uneven across the top. I should have known better and not let her use the drill sander. No massage or hand soak with my manicure. Pedicure was mediocre, no real massage or treatment. Won't be back and don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Yet few who care about quality and practice proper disinfection and sterilization techniques to keep the consumer safe from fungal, bacterial and MERSA infections. I went to 5 nail salons in my area. None of them could tell what they were doing to keep us safe from disease transmission. Here at Exquiste Nails I was shown and given a tour of their disinfection station, how they spray and clean their tubs and UV light sterilizer. Mia was very helpful and even gave me a few tips about care for my Gel polish and gave me some cuticle oil. They are truly clean here and do beautiful mani/pedis. read more

Overall great experience. I asked about the two free design for checking in after my pedicure was already done and half way through my manicure but the lady was more than willing to give me the design I wanted. The end result was more than I had ever imagined. Definitely will be back again. The reason for one missing star was because the first lady that started my pedicure somehow caused a part of my toe to be very irritated and painful. I recently got an email about my review from a Yelper who questioned the validity of my claims against this particular business. Below is the email I sent in response to his questions: Q :"if you came in to get your eyebrows waxed how did you get your eyelids burned? I myself am not a esthetician, but can tell the difference between an eyebrow and eyelid." A: If you have ever gotten your eyebrows waxed before, you would know that a lot of the waxing occurs below the brow bone. If you had an excess of wax applied, they would most definitely get on the upper part of your eyelid. Q: "If you got burned that bad why did you continue with the service and on top of that, get your upper lip waxed too?" A: Once again, if you've ever gotten your eyebrows waxed before you would know that when the wax is first stripped off, there is a little bit of sting, at at that point, you wouldn't immediately know that you were burned, it just feels like a more intense stinging. And you cannot see what is going on, because you are usually lying down without the benefit of the mirror. Q: "Is it possible that it was a tear instead of a burn? Since you said yourself you had "super sensitive skin"? in your smooth as silk day spa review? http://www.yelp.com/bi..." A: Everyone has sensitive skin on their eyelids, it's possibly the thinnest layer of skin on the entire body, and yes it was definitely a burn. Although I fail to see why a tear would be anything less to complain about, since neither should have happened had the job been done properly. A: I disagree with your sentiment. I believe a business that does a good job should stay in business and thrive. Businesses that try to circumvent the law and feel like regulations do not apply to them should not be in business at all. It is actually an insult to legitimate business people who play by the rules. Our economy is in such a mess partly because certain corporations waited too long to acknowledge that they were making bad decisions and cranking out products that were sub-par and couldn't compete in the world market. My daughter and her friend made 2 appointments for prom manicures and pedicures. They showed up for their appointments and were told that they did not have appointments. They were asked to wait and waited over 30 minutes. They were then treated extremely rudely as if were their fault that the nail techs were now rushed. Really bummed with my visit. My friend and I had 11:00 appointments for mani and pedi. She was seen right away while I was kept waiting. Long story short, we were there for 2 1/2 hours for basic services. I got a fairly bad cut on my toe when she was trimming the cuticle. I could see it bleeding a little. I said something loud enough that she could hear me and she ignored me. The paint job was sloppy on my feet. Eric is very talented, and my mani was nice, but everything else was not so great. If you can't honor my appointment time, then let me know that when I make the reservation. read more

I just wanted gel powder and the girl was like "okay well that doesn't exist." What? Don't tell me it doesn't exist because I know it does. Please feel free to go back to school. Not impressed at all. I've had better pedicure at the nail shop inside Walmart. Minimal foot scrub and just a leg rub NO leg message at all. No cut down of the nails on one foot. Would have liked a nail design in my toes but wasn't even asked. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Also took my brother in law to get some callus removal. The girl hardly did anything to his feet and nails. I had to ask her to cut more off his nails. Simple cut down with no message. Needless to say we won't be coming back. read more
