1/5 stars for their mini golf course. - For a place out of the park district, they're charging $11/18 holes which seems steep for what you actually get + $6 for parking/hour (limited parking spaces) - They have 1 size club for adults and 1 size for kids. Other places I've been to wash their balls and clubs after you're done, but this one is not clean. - Course is in bad condition with dirty water and unpatched turf - Course is also boring. You can charge $11 when you have a nice course with fun obstacles but when it looks like this, it best be under $5. I didn't try the driving range, but if you're looking for a mini golf place, this is not it.

Great location and fantastic scenery but could use an upgrade on their customer service. To start, I asked to borrow clubs but they didn't have a set with a driver. Huh? I understand most people will come with their own clubs but not having a single driver to rent is crazy. The range is tidy and like that there are multiple levels. The attendant wasn't terribly helpful for someone who was first time visiting.

Original plans were to hit up the driving ranges but due to certain circumstances plans changed and we brought the kids along with us so we did the miniature golf which was fun but man 18 holes is a long time that they even lost interested towards the end haha but it was very hot out!

Great place to lay back and hit some balls at the bottom or top of the driving range. Good for groups and/couples to try the putting greens, they have two. The employees are consistently polite and genuinely care for their customers. They also have a mini golf area, but I have never tried. I see mostly families with kids try and they seem to enjoy it. There is parking on the street but it is rare to find, but there is always parking in their parking lot. 4 dollars for an hour, 8 dollars for two to four hours. Fun fact: they are open year round & in the lower part of the range have some heat lamps which is convenient.

A good place to practice or just release stress after a hard day, or week. In a beautiful setting by the lake front, and, if you choose to use the upper deck, some spectacular views of lake Michigan and the  city skyline; although, during the summer months, some of the best views are blocked by the trees. This place is worth visiting for the atmosphere along. There is a beautiful miniature golf course attached, a grill/cafe at the entrance and clay tennis courts on the East side, but those are reviews for another day. There are plenty of coaches available if you want to improve your game with a private lesson. They are open all year around, with heating lamps to keep customers somewhat warm. Weekends are crowded, but I have never had a problem finding a bay open, even if it is not centrally located, as is my preference. About my only complaint would be outdated and poorly kept bathrooms. The price is a bit high, especially when you include parking fees, but like in real estate, location is everything, and this is the only range in town; this part of town anyway.

I didn't think I'd be a golfer but I have to admit this is fun! Especially when you bring drinks from the bar next door

So yes, I have taken a full and complete look at this business and my experiences with it and simply had a different experience than others. I took lessons here awhile back and have recently been taking lessons at a different business recently. The lessons at My Chicago Golf started out well. Marcus was attentive and was able to make a difference in my game. Things were going well. That is, until, he slept through one of our scheduled appointments. His system sends out numerous reminders about upcoming appointments to customers. Unfortunately, it seems that it only sends them out to his customers, and not to him. We had an appointment scheduled, and I showed up fifteen minutes early. His storefront was locked, and knocking and ringing the doorbell did not yield any type of response. Unfortunately, emailing, texting, and leaving voicemails also did not make a difference either as they all went unanswered. After waiting about forty-five minutes for a sixty minute lesson, he finally opened the door. At that time, however, the customer for the next hour was already waiting at the door! That customer was courteous enough to let me use his scheduled hour, and he rescheduled with Marcus. As the lesson went on, Marcus did apologize for sleeping through it. He said that he overscheduled himself that morning, which caused him to oversleep during a nap. He was definitely drowsy throughout the appointment, and wasn't entirely alert or focused on my swing. What disappointed me the most, however, was that he didn't take responsibility for his mishap. Mistakes happen to everyone. Apologizing is only the first step in taking responsibility for those mistakes. He didn't offer an extra free lesson or a refund, or anything for that matter, to make up for his major mistake. This last part that is why he is losing two stars. If he would have taken responsibility for his failures, I wouldn't be as disappointed with him. I even would have used the final lessons I had in the package I purchased. Instead, I let them go unused because I was so let down by him. Missing an appointment completely without notice and/or an acceptable reason is a huge negative and a large problem. These lessons are not cheap. What's even worse is not taking responsibility for it. Mistakes can be overlooked, if the person making those mistakes owns up to them and takes responsibility. Unfortunately that didn't happen here.

As someone who is just getting started golfing, he has really stressed the fundamentals while still pushing me to get to a point where I have the necessary skills to be able to practice and grow independently. The difference I see after each lesson is measurable and I've always left with things to practice (with videos demonstrating the exercise) so I can continue to see growth. Additionally, his location is a fantastic setup with some of the newest golf simulator technology to really enhance the lesson experience. I did a fair amount of research on different golf instructors and facilities in Chicago and am thrilled I landed on My Chicago Golf. I can't recommend Marcus and My Chicago Golf enough.

We were there early in the day so it wasn't very busy, but there's virtual golf, a shuffleboard table, a bar and probably more stuff that we didn't see. In one hour we fit in two games with four people pretty much perfectly (we picked up the pace in round 2). The digital scorekeeping is very helpful! Watch out for the ball return: it spat out the ball onto the floor about half the time, so mind your feet! It was very hot in the place despite it not being terribly warm outside; we were all sweating! Overall though, I was thrilled to have an opportunity to go bowling again since I haven't been able to in quite a while.

We happened to be there on a Sunday at 9pm, where there was a discount for $25/hour. We stayed until closing at 11pm and it was fun. The system allows you to explore different courses, practice on the driving range, record yourself to watch your form, and good and drinks. The staff were friendly, considering it's Chicago. It also want busy. I believe there were 11 bays, each with their own club set. The downside was probably the tech didn't always capture angles and whatnot correctly so there were a few glitches on occasion. We also didn't have every club in the golf bag they provided so it would be nice to have that organized. It's also on the pricey end. Overall, it was our first time doing the experience and we enjoyed it. There seems to be other locations with a different atmosphere perhaps we can check out on another visit. Happy exploring! One is a library kinda like Harry Potter. The other is snow/ski lodge themed. The reservation option for unlimited play and food tickets was a pretty good deal at around $40. With a group of 3 people each course ended up taking about 30 minutes. Some of the courses were kinda hard and we ended up just skipping after 6 tries since that's the max score. There were times when the screen glitched out or when the previous people at the course left their scorecard and it needed to be cleared. It wasn't that big of deal but one of us did have to get an employee from the dining area when this happened (at the ski lodge course). The software is pretty cool, you use the tablet at each station and once you finish inputting your score, your group's scorecard will automatically pop up at the next location. Perfect fun especially when you go at a time that's not too busy. We went on Mother's Day evening so maybe that's not a popular activity for mother's. Overall I'd recommend puttery to anybody that enjoys mini golf or wants a fun date idea.
