Perfect place if you a golf lover or if you want to hang out with the friends . There it's also a ping pong table and a shuffle board, darts and a pole table. Food it's very good and if you are a member you have a lot of amazing discounts and offers, like free hours to play in certain days. The food it's good and they have all the variety of drinks. I don't recommend the cocktails tho it's not the place to have it. The place it's very spacious and in the middle it's a big bar so if you wanna watch a game there are tv all over . But what I most love about this place it's that almost very bay it's having couches so it's so cozy makes you feel like you're hanging out with your friends in your living room. Totally recommend this place.

I was a bit apprehensive at first being a beginner golfer, but had the best experience at five iron. I went for their women's history month event and I must say it exceeded all of my expectations. We were nicely greeted, we were led to a private bay (for this event), and were given complementary glasses of champagne ( which was a pleasant surprise!). We mentioned we were beginner golfers at the Front Desk and the attendant sent over a coach to give us a short lesson. It was great, Kyle was great! The vibe was awesome! Once you enter, you will be instantly ready to have a great time.

Came here for a birthday event and had a blast. The golf simulation was out of this world! Five Iron Golf is located in the River North district of Chicago. The entrance is a bit hidden and it's off the beaten path. Yet, at least it's away from the tourist traps. When you enter you are greeted with a nice, clean vibe. The staff was professional and tended to all needs. They stopped by many times to help us set up, troubleshoot, and ask us for drinks. Amazing service. There are many bay areas yet they're spaced out in a way where you don't feel crowded. The bar is centrally located and convenient to everyone. Many TVs will play different sports channels at once. The bar had solid drink options. Many macro beers with a few locals on draft. Drinks were actually cheap at the $-$$ range. And there are a few other options for those not inclined to golf. There is a pool, table shuffleboard, and a mini area for putting practice. I can see myself hanging out here more often with groups of friends. It's like a guy's dream man cave. Prices for the simulator were a bit pricey. Yet, with the integration of hardware and software, I understand paying for the technology and service. Also, it's better than trying to play golf during the Chicago winter season. As for the simulators themselves, I found it quite accurate. It was fun to whack a ball and practice your swing. Yet, one area of improvement was the putting. Putting was a hassle and finicky. Yet, there are ways to change the settings to make it easier. 5/5. Definitely coming back and recommending it. A unique experience that was a ton of fun. Offerings outside of the simulator were also well done. Great place to hang out with the guys, watch sports, and play (virtual) golf.

First time trying it out! Treated my friend who golfs for Father's Day gift. It was a nice spot and not crowded like other golf places. I parked in a near by parking garage but there was some street parking surprisingly on a Friday at 7 pm. The decor was chic and clean the stay was very attentive and friendly. Food and drinks very reasonable and pretty tasty! We had the boneless buffalo wings and seasoned waffle fries. Only thing was the air conditioning was out so it was pretty warm inside but the staff was so accommodating he placed a floor fan right near us. I would definitely go back and With a group would be fun also. Even with the broken air conditioning i gave it a 5!

Awesome staff members and great food here. One of the best indoor golf experiences I ever had. They also play fun music too :)

Great place to practice your golf swing! Especially in the cold Chicago winters. Great atmosphere and great drinks. I will be back!

From the moment we sat down, our waitress--the one with curly hair and a gummy bear necklace--was noticeably rude and unwelcoming. When we were ordering drinks, we were speaking politely, but she just stood there silently, almost impatiently, waiting for us to finish. There was no friendliness or even basic customer service. When she brought out a classic margarita, she didn't make eye contact, didn't say anything, and just dropped it off and walked away. The drink itself was extremely strong to the point that it wasn't really drinkable. When we politely asked if it could be remade or if more mix could be added, she responded with, "Is this a complaint about a heavy pour?"--which came off as dismissive and sarcastic. It was disappointing because we were excited to visit Chicago and were hoping for a friendly, welcoming dining experience. On the positive side, the atmosphere was great, the outdoor seating was really nice, and the food was genuinely delicious. Overall, great vibe and food--but the service we received, especially from our waitress, made the experience far less enjoyable than it should have been.

The Scout in Old Town captures the look of the OG but in a new fresh way - perfect for present-day. We were instantly and warmly welcomed upon arrival. Lexi was our server and honestly five stars don't do her justice. She deserves 5,000 stars! The menu features some of the same menu items that were at the South Loop location along with some newbies. Lexi let us know what was what and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. I loved my salad, and my husband loved The Wolf (said it was just like he remembered - his favorite!!!). Definitely check The Scout out - but warning, you will be spoiled by their fantastic food and service so much you will never want to go anywhere else other than there. We highly recommend!

If you've been to the old spot I'm talking about, you'll notice immediately that The Scout still has the beautiful, soaring ceilings, but they've also remodeled a chunk of the restaurant, which is great! We sat down pretty immediately at a table in the back of the restaurant - not too far from the (new) DJ booth, and our waitress was extremely kind and gave us prompt service. We were just hanging out, listening to the music, when the NFL Divisional playoff game that was on tonight came back on, and let me tell you, it was the loudest game audio I have ever heard in a bar, ever. I've been going to sports bars for most of my adult life, and I get that folks can get excited and loud and that's not what I'm talking about. The audio of just the announcers and players from the telecast were almost exceeding 100 dBA, slow, without the bar cheering. I've been an audio engineer for over 20 years, and that isn't too far off from the base level of what you'll experience at concerts at the United Center (102-110 dBA, slow). We asked twice if the zone that encompassed our area of the restaurant could be turned down - but nothing changed, so we took our food to go and left. It wasn't just "can't have a conversation" loud, it was "I can't think" loud. This place needs to do some system tuning (the example I'll give - if you go to a Yard House the environment is loud and lively but you can still hold a conversation at your table because the audio system is extremely well tuned). The food that we ate when we got home (Kids mac n cheese and buffalo wings) were exceptional, so that's why I'm not leaving a single star. I don't know if we'll be back, I was incredibly disappointed tonight.
