Perfect for beginner golfers to learn in a judgement-free environment. Everyone has such a fun and teaching spirit and happy to help you improve your swing! Every dish I've tried on the menu has been impressively tasty!

Gorgeous and ginormous oval quartz bar, sexy indoor fire pit, great sound and lighting - this place is fantastic for cocktails, Kobe beef hot dogs (yesss!) televised sports and generally cool hang-outs. BUT, it's also the best golf simulator spot I've ever seen, hands down! Huge bays with clubby seating, even a VIP bay. Brand new, super slick clubs really upped our game. The ball pops up out of the floor each time so you don't have to chase it into the pit, you can hit off fairway, rough and hazards AND the floor moves to simulate a real-time lie. There's even a floor light to help line up your putts. I was amazed. For less embarrassing golfers than me, soon you can upload high def video of your shots directly to your social media! Did I mention there is also on-site garage parking?

Catching up on Yelp reviews and I visited the Green back in September. The space is extremely nice and I think the technology is better than Five Iron Golf. I loved how the lie angles changed, you have different shots from the sand & rough, and you can putt. Prices are tiered exactly like Five Iron Golf as it's more expensive during prime time. There is a parking garage within the development where you can get your ticket validated. The turkey club and tots are pretty good! I enjoyed the Old Fashioned as well. Overall, I thought the Green is a very good golf simulator and a nice option to compete against Five Iron Golf!

I will be the first admit that I'm not the biggest golfer and !not really any good at the game of golf. However, from time to time I will go to the driving range or the odd golf Simulator, like this place. I recently visited here with my sister, who is much better and bigger golfer than I. First, I loved the atmosphere. The vibe is very mid-century modern with the furnishings to match. They also have a nice bar with many TV screens with sports playing. They even have a TV screen in the simulator bay should you want to watch a game during your golf play. Second, the food is good. Most food at golf simulator places is little more that reheated microwave food. The Green seems to be different. We ordered buffalo chicken wings and the margherita flatbread. While I don't actually know if they made it or just reheated it, the food definitely tasted better and more like food made in a kitchen than other golf simulator places. Four, they have good cocktails. I tried the Long Ranger and the Sneaky Transfusion. If you don't want beer or a hard seltzer while you play, their cocktails are a must. Five, parking is free and in a covered garage on site. This was a nice touch as there is no street parking in that area. Six, I enjoyed the golf simulator play. Again, I'm not a great golfer, but I still enjoyed myself. I like that the hitting surface has a variety of options to simulate a real golf course, such as two types of rough. I also like all the great courses to choose from and the driving range option. A another nice feature is that after you take a shot there is a video replay of your shot from a above the head of the club and a side view of your body mechanics. What sealed the deal for me was the mini games. If don't want to play a full round or go the driving range, these games are a fun alternative. For example, I played a game where you hit the ball to smash windows. In all, this is a must visit golf simulator.

I'm always looking for a nice and low-key date night or girls night out spot and this place has it all. There are professionals who come in to practice, but for amateurs like me, I still feel like I have a place. There are arcade-style games that I can play to learn the game and how to swing. While teeing off you can also order food and drinks that come right to your bay. It is a bit pricey, but if you come with a group of friends, that'll help with the cost. Parking is free and secure (not sure if that's only for a certain amount of time). And it's in a great location.

So yes, I have taken a full and complete look at this business and my experiences with it and simply had a different experience than others. I took lessons here awhile back and have recently been taking lessons at a different business recently. The lessons at My Chicago Golf started out well. Marcus was attentive and was able to make a difference in my game. Things were going well. That is, until, he slept through one of our scheduled appointments. His system sends out numerous reminders about upcoming appointments to customers. Unfortunately, it seems that it only sends them out to his customers, and not to him. We had an appointment scheduled, and I showed up fifteen minutes early. His storefront was locked, and knocking and ringing the doorbell did not yield any type of response. Unfortunately, emailing, texting, and leaving voicemails also did not make a difference either as they all went unanswered. After waiting about forty-five minutes for a sixty minute lesson, he finally opened the door. At that time, however, the customer for the next hour was already waiting at the door! That customer was courteous enough to let me use his scheduled hour, and he rescheduled with Marcus. As the lesson went on, Marcus did apologize for sleeping through it. He said that he overscheduled himself that morning, which caused him to oversleep during a nap. He was definitely drowsy throughout the appointment, and wasn't entirely alert or focused on my swing. What disappointed me the most, however, was that he didn't take responsibility for his mishap. Mistakes happen to everyone. Apologizing is only the first step in taking responsibility for those mistakes. He didn't offer an extra free lesson or a refund, or anything for that matter, to make up for his major mistake. This last part that is why he is losing two stars. If he would have taken responsibility for his failures, I wouldn't be as disappointed with him. I even would have used the final lessons I had in the package I purchased. Instead, I let them go unused because I was so let down by him. Missing an appointment completely without notice and/or an acceptable reason is a huge negative and a large problem. These lessons are not cheap. What's even worse is not taking responsibility for it. Mistakes can be overlooked, if the person making those mistakes owns up to them and takes responsibility. Unfortunately that didn't happen here.

As someone who is just getting started golfing, he has really stressed the fundamentals while still pushing me to get to a point where I have the necessary skills to be able to practice and grow independently. The difference I see after each lesson is measurable and I've always left with things to practice (with videos demonstrating the exercise) so I can continue to see growth. Additionally, his location is a fantastic setup with some of the newest golf simulator technology to really enhance the lesson experience. I did a fair amount of research on different golf instructors and facilities in Chicago and am thrilled I landed on My Chicago Golf. I can't recommend Marcus and My Chicago Golf enough.

My issue is IF your not looking to rework your swing you can walk away very discouraged. I took one lesson recently saying i wanted some coaching on how to improve a certain area of my game but with back issues NOT a full rebuild. I was not able to hit the ball the way he recommended with my back issues and the muscle memory of my current swing. By the end of the lesson i was saying i just can't make that move and he was recommending more lessons to fix. I got zero out of this lesson other than less confidence. I understand it's a business but this was the opposite of what i asked for. In short i walked out pretty discouraged on my swing overall. I played a 15 handicap last year and play about 2/week for reference.

Joe, Tommy, and April as well as the rest of the staff work very well together in making sure that your goals, whether they are fitness or golf related (or both) are met. We were there early in the day so it wasn't very busy, but there's virtual golf, a shuffleboard table, a bar and probably more stuff that we didn't see. In one hour we fit in two games with four people pretty much perfectly (we picked up the pace in round 2). The digital scorekeeping is very helpful! Watch out for the ball return: it spat out the ball onto the floor about half the time, so mind your feet! The downside was probably the tech didn't always capture angles and whatnot correctly so there were a few glitches on occasion. We also didn't have every club in the golf bag they provided so it would be nice to have that organized. It's also on the pricey end.
