Brought here by a friend as it been so long since I've been to Chicago. Loved that they had several floors with different themes. We stayed mainly on the lower floor with a cocktail bar, which has a chill vibe. I got the Quinceañera and my friend got the Melon Melon. Loved both drinks and I actually got myself a Melon Melon for my second drink! Both drinks were 17 dollars each. Service was pretty good, they checked up on us pretty often. I did stroll up to look at some of the floors and did like the vibe of each. One was disco and another one was tropical. Since it was during a winter storm, I didn't see the rooftop. I'd definitely come back again, when it's not storming outside, so that I can check out the drinks on the other floors and have a quick dance or two!
I like Celeste because it's a cocktail bar with a very interesting layout spread across four different levels. My favorite part is the rooftop patio with its glass roof and beautiful greenery surrounding the space, which creates a fun and relaxing atmosphere. One of the floors serves traditional foods like tacos, burgers, pasta, and salads, so there's a good variety to choose from. The drinks were great, and the overall vibe makes it a perfect place to meet up with friends. I've gone there for drinks several times, and we always have a fun experience.
Came here for a Friday happy hour and was not disappointed! We came before a late dinner reservation, maybe around 6 or 7 PM. After climbing what felt like 10 flights of stairs, we were rewarded with a luscious rooftop garden bar.b seating was pretty crowded, so we sat at the bar - no complaints! Maybe it's the West Coast girl and me, but I thought the happy hour prices were extremely reasonable. $10 for a craft cocktail? Sign me up! I enjoyed the spritz over the melon drink, but both were good. We split Arancini and it tasted delicious, not like bar food as I was expecting.
Three floors but went straight to the top idk what the other two had I just wanted to go straight to the music. So much freaking fun the dj ripped such good remixes like combined songs i never thought possible it was awesome. That kind of music did make me want to dance like crazy but not with how PACKED that was. Every so often it opened up a little so that was more fun but at least the floor was so cool with flashing lights. $20 cover which like okay sure i guess
I attended a private event at Celeste that spanned two different floors. Though crowded it was a really fun place . The disco design created a really enjoyable atmosphere. I didn't have any alcoholic beverages but it was an open bar and I had couple of sparkling waters. The DJ was cool although he could've been better. His set didn't flow as well as I'd have liked but it was still fun.

This is a great bar for a girls night out. It has everything. It has a chill lounge on the rooftop floor. It has a hopping 70s themed dance floor that lights up. Fun for pics and dancing the night away. It also has on one of the lower floors a cocktail bar. I really loved the cocktail bar. The drinks were on the more expensive side but they were carefully curated and very unique. We got martinis that had been created by a staff member that happened to be there that night and he made them for us. This is one of the less pretentious places that I have been too in river north. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the neighborhood.

The girl who checked us in at the door wasn't very nice to me, she looked at my ID and glared at me but it is what it is. I got their non alcoholic margarita and it was good. Our bartender was great, will be back to check out their place more and their drinks as well. The ambiance inside was cute. They also had a good happy hour menu which is until 8pm starting on Wednesday.
Such wasted potential. It's a very nice rooftop and in a great area, but the F&B is terrible. The espresso martini was so bad that I left it after just two sips. The other cocktails were 80% ice, 15% sugar/soda and a bit of cucumber or watermelon flavoring. The arancini balls were also missing the "cacio e pepe" flavors - they were basically round balls of mozzarella sticks. No pepper, no flavors. And served with an aioli instead of marinara so no balance of flavors. It's sad to see a place with so much potential be in a state of neglect.

Went to Celeste to show my friends a good time. Our drinks were stellar (for that price, I expect them to be!) The atmosphere across all floors varied greatly, but I especially liked the Disco room :) I'd go back for a happy hour and any time I can't predetermine the vibes for the night lol. -AD
It's been several years since I have been here but I appreciate the different vibes on each floor at Celeste. If you're in the mood for lights, action, dancing and disco music, then Disco is definitely the floor to visit. But if you just want a chill, cozy and intimate conversation and a great cocktail to sup, the first floor was great too. It really depends on your mood and budget. And be prepared to walk some stairs too. The bar tenders here are great and masters of creating drinks. It was fun sitting at the bar and watching the cocktails in the making. read more
Love when a place can be known for their music and their food! The lemon butter pasta and the steak tacos were both ! The cosmopolitan was really good, it reminded me of orange sherbet in terms of the smell. Definitely get the truffle fries for the table as a starter with the truffle aioli, omg so good! Our server was very nice and attentive to us but not in an obnoxious way. Highly recommend for a girls night out or a sexy date night. Around 11:30pm the crowd fills up the top floors that's playing either house music or a mixture of everything . All the service fees on the bill kinda sucked and the top floor rooftop is super hot and sweaty when it gets packed. read more
Visited Celeste with some friends on a Thursday night and was shocked to see how busy the place gets. Tables and seating do fill up downstairs on the main level so if you're looking to sit I recommend getting there early before the late night crowd comes. I love that Celeste has live DJs and that there are different floors for dancing. The top floor was very crowded when I visited but aesthetically looks very cool. Again, if you come with a larger group I recommend reserving a table. Overall great vibes and drinks read more

A girlfriend and I came for their Happy Hour and I have to say that they do not have good deals. We shared their truffle fries $8 and crispy chicken bites $10 - everything was just okay. Fries are fries - they came with a good aioli. The chicken bites are literally just regular halved tenders. No real flavor to them honestly but it came with buffalo sauce and honey mustard. I should've ordered the arancini knowing it's great but $3 for 1 ball was just interesting but after looking at the regular menu price it was fair. I ordered the melon melon drink which tasted like a watermelon jolly rancher - super tasty but no buzz. Our waitress was nice but she did take a while to come after we wanted to leave (maybe cause we wanted to leave fast to catch another HH haha). Our goal this night was to go to the rooftop but according to the waitress it wasn't opening until 9pm - very unfortunate. read more

Stopped into this location during their happy hour on a Friday night. We were given the open to sit anywhere we'd like, we picked the bar. There was music playing and they vibe was nice. The steak tacos were delicious and loaded with meat. The drinks were good as well. Very good prices for Chicago in my option. read more
Great happy hour at Celeste! Love that it goes until 7pm. Great selection of drinks and bites. Gorgeous closed in rooftop space, different vibes on each floor. Great service, some girl took it upon herself to steal our table while we were in the bathroom and dumped my drink. The waiter was very apologetic and got me a new one on the house. read more

Cute spot in River North. We went for their happy hour deal. I got my fill for a good price so I would recommend. I tried the steak tacos and arancini and both were good. The arancini was more cheesy than ricey. We tried several of the cocktails on special and they were all tasty. Long story short: This place is anti-black. Yes, black people work there and are let in but the policies are leaning towards very racist (i.e. No hats, no hoodies). And this no hats no hoodies policy is not mentioned on the website. I get it's "upscale" attire but all hats nor hooded jackets are "low class". Mind you, what I assume was the manager had a wack fedora on so talk about irony. Anyway, my friend had a hat, they told him to take it back to the car, he did, and then they came back with the hoodie comment (which they could have said when they told him about the hat). Then when we finally were about to get in, the two short bouncers (one black, one latino) gave my friend a hard time and weren't on the same page on the policy. One was telling him to check the hoodie in coat check and the other was telling him he couldn't get in. (Poor communication) When we got in, we got seated and the waitress was rude and got an attitude because we sat at a table (I'm assuming) they wanted for bottle service only. But it's 2am, so who really is ordering bottle service at that time....so she reluctantly gave us a menu and just had a nasty disposition the whole time. It also took me 15 minutes to get silverware after asking the waitress.... i ordered a Lychee Martini and Cacio e Pepe Arancini. The Arancini was bland and NEEDED the aioli it came with. The drink was good. My friends ordered other food. Truffle fries were good, chicken tenders were mid. The second floor is where you need to be! Something upscale and posh while meeting something chill which is unique in River North. I celebrated my birthday there recently and couldn't have had a better ending to the night. Our bartender, Cristobal, was amazing. He was patient and makes one of the best French 75s I've had. It was crisp, citrusy and bubbly. He was knowledgeable, and checked in frequently to make sure we were all good! 10/10 recommend going to the 2nd floor on Saturdays (and I've been on a Wednesday too) to get a drink by him! First time here and if I'm ever back, I would visit again. 4 floors and completely different feel and I loved it. It's like going to 4 different spots in one night. We did not get to spend any time on the 1st, lower floor, only stand there to get out of the way waiting for our uber. Looks like a level for a quaint dinner and a nice full bar. We arrived and checked in for our 8:30pm reservation on the 2nd floor. We were walked up to the 2nd floor. All the floors are basically rectangular. You walk in one end. Love the ambiance of the 2nd floor. We really enjoyed our martinis there and our truffle fries snack. Service was great. Music was perfect. We then walked up to the 3rd floor. Pop music with floors lightening up! So fun. The fullest floor of ppl ready to have a great time. 4th floor was like an atrium. So cute with the glass ceiling. More on the slower EDM'sh music. It's very cute but def more space for standing than sitting. Service was fast and friendly. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the melon melon with an extra shot of alcohol, of course. The agua ranchera was delicious and the Collins was refreshing but needed more alcohol. The steak tacos were seasoned and made with love. I really wasn't a fan of the arancini. There was no flavor. We visited the Whiskey Bar on the first floor of Celeste on August 15th and it was an absolute treat. Celeste feels like a hidden gem in River North with a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered two cocktails, the Oaxacan Old Fashioned and the Desert Mirage. Both were crafted with skill and balance by mixologists who clearly take pride in their work. Each drink had layers of flavor and was beautifully presented. For food we tried the steak tacos. They were filled with tender skirt steak, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, pickled onion, spicy aioli, and lime. Every bite was delicious and paired perfectly with our cocktails. The Whiskey Bar itself is elegant yet comfortable. We noticed the Deco Supper Club on the second floor and the lively Disco on the third floor. While we did not visit those levels this time, they looked very popular and full of energy. Celeste is the perfect place to enjoy high-end cocktails, a tasty bite, and top-tier service in a beautiful setting. We are already looking forward to returning and exploring more of what this unique venue has to offer. read more

A friend recommended the place to go dancing at. It is quite a mix of age but still on the younger side. I do like the idea. It has 4 floors. 1st 2 are lounge like bars very chill. 3rd floor is disco music super fun! And 4th floor is house music. The only thing is its the most expensive non alcoholic drink ive ever had lol. But what can u do. Its how they earn their money. Also has a $20 cover! Happy dancing! read more

Came here Friday night after multiple reviews stating this was a lit spot. When my husband & I walked up to the line the bouncer looked at us and said " of course you're VIP" and let us in lol. There are levels kind of similar to like Webster hall in NYC. The top level is the club. The bar area was packed with more ppl but towards the front and the DJ it's more space. The DJ plays a good mix of music. Wanting to cool down we went to the second floor which is more of a lounge vibe. I ordered chicken bites which were good. We decided to go back upstairs after cooling off and finish our night. read more

I recently went on a St. Patrick's Day bar crawl with my friends and one of the stops was Celeste. Expect a long queue every time you visit but The lines were pretty fast moving.I've been there a few times before, and it's always been super busy. But this time, we started on the first floor for some food, ordered fries, and got a nice surprise of free green tea shots from our waitress, who was really helpful. The waitress was patient and nice and offered those shots because there was a mixup with our order of fries. Then we went up to the second floor, which is usually packed, but this time it wasn't too crowded. We danced for an hour and had a blast! Finally, we checked out the rooftop floor, and the St. Patrick's Day atmosphere was awesome. I really like celeste's multi floor concept as it caters to all your moods. Overall, Celeste was great, and I'll definitely be going back. It's perfect for showing out-of-town friends a good time with dining, dancing, and rooftop views all in one spot read more

If you like river north, top 40s, married frat boys then yes! This is a bachelorette party's dream. Lots of free drinks ;)

Trendy music. Didn't really hear anything popular, but it was definitely upbeat and lively. Upstairs in their dance club they play a little more high energy dance music.
