The puttery was such a great experience! The food here is actually good, or at least better than typical bar food. The two courses are really fun and the rooms are very themed. One is a library kinda like Harry Potter. The other is snow/ski lodge themed. The reservation option for unlimited play and food tickets was a pretty good deal at around $40. With a group of 3 people each course ended up taking about 30 minutes. Some of the courses were kinda hard and we ended up just skipping after 6 tries since that's the max score. There were times when the screen glitched out or when the previous people at the course left their scorecard and it needed to be cleared. It wasn't that big of deal but one of us did have to get an employee from the dining area when this happened (at the ski lodge course). The software is pretty cool, you use the tablet at each station and once you finish inputting your score, your group's scorecard will automatically pop up at the next location. Perfect fun especially when you go at a time that's not too busy. We went on Mother's Day evening so maybe that's not a popular activity for mother's. Overall I'd recommend puttery to anybody that enjoys mini golf or wants a fun date idea. read more

My husband and I visited Frankenstein's Mad Scientist Cocktail Lab for a little spooky-season date night! As Halloween lovers, we were excited to check out the experience, especially with its creative drinks and themed atmosphere. We started with the Electric Jolt cocktail and the It's Alive mocktail. The Electric Jolt reminded me of a margarita, while the mocktail was surprisingly tasty and had a fun interactive element! For food, I ordered the Fire Bolt Frankenwings extra crispy, and they were easily one of my favorite parts of the evening. The wings had a great crunch, and the green buffalo sauce delivered just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. My husband ordered the Monster Smash Burger and really enjoyed it, especially the glowing green aioli. I also tried The Monstrosity cocktail, which was probably the coolest presentation of the night. Watching the dry ice create a smoky effect from the beaker was such a fun touch! Unfortunately, the whiskey flavor was a little too strong for my preference. The biggest disappointment for me was the fries. Although the slime-green topping fit the theme perfectly, the sauce had a gritty texture that I really didn't enjoy. We took some time to explore the venue, and I appreciated the creativity that went into the overall concept. It's definitely a fun idea for Halloween enthusiasts or anyone looking for something different from a traditional date night. Overall, we had a decent time, but the experience didn't completely live up to the hype for us. The presentation and creativity were memorable, but some of the food and drinks were hit-or-miss. I'm glad we gave it a try, but it's probably not an experience I'd rush back to repeat. read more

Fun activity to do with family visiting and reasonably priced! Was kind of dead on a Saturday night though. I wished there was a little more to liven up the atmosphere and environment. Still fun though and a cool interactive experience of scoring that was unique! We had a good time! read more

Puttery is an awesome indoor miniature golf experience in the West Loop. The building is clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. When I was there, it felt just like being at a ski lodge. They also have an awesome rooftop with seating and a great view of the city. The drinks were tasty and made well and very strong. We had several drinks before attempting to golf! We also had burgers, wings, and fries, and everything was very flavorful. The golf course was cute, and we had a lot of fun. There's a leaderboard that shows the highest scores. It was crowded and we had to wait in line for the next obstacle, so patience is a must. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely return to play more miniature golf and enjoy some more drinks. read more

This is a really fun spot to come to for a date night or with friends! This could also be a really fun birthday party or private event. It's set up perfectly for that. Their food was really good and the bar service was fast. The course itself is set up like a library and it was really neat because you couldn't see everything all at once you had to do lots of twists and turns. It was challenging, but not overly difficult. Definitely set up more for adults than kids, but still counts as play. I'm excited to see what their other courses are like on other floors. read more

We didn't do mini golf so I can't review that. Just the Halloween experience. The drinks were cute but very mid. Same with the spinach artichoke dip. Mid. They really outdid themselves with the decor. If not for the really low lighting, it would have made for some really great photo opps. I didn't hate the experience but I'm just glad we had a party to go to afterwards. Would have been disappointing had that had been our only thing to do on Halloween Service was friendly. They didn't rush us out and everything came quickly read more

This was a hidden gem to discover in West Loop. A super cute, indoor multilevel putt putt with a lounge and huge roof rooftop deck. We wandered into the area to look for dinner and stumbled upon this place. Not sure what it is from the outside. But it sounds like mini golf so we had to check it out. And lo and behold it was a beautiful, really creative and cool spot. They were right in the middle of construction so the third floor was closed to prepare for Halloween or change from Halloween into Christmas theme. But we got to still do nine holes and it was really fun. The drinks were also really good and strong and the view on the balcony in the room everywhere was really cool. A great group spot or a great date spot. I'm curious what their food menu is like since they have plenty of tables. Definitely gonna come back again and bring some friends or celebrate something. read more

Came to Puttery Chicago with my partner on Friday 8/15 around 2:30pm. The person who checked us in gave a great rundown of what to expect, from the different floors to where the bar was and how to play, which was super helpful. We decided to sit inside since it was so hot, and it was nice and cool with good seats where we even caught some of the Air & Water Show pre-show. Food-wise, we shared wings (Korean BBQ, Buffalo, and Lemon Pepper) and I had the smash burger with fries. Everything was flavorful, juicy, and fresh. The lemon pepper wings especially stood out with a real lemon zest kick I wasn't expecting. Dessert was the raspberry donut cheesecake and it was beautifully presented, airy, balanced, and not overly sweet. Loved it. Playing puttery was fun and not too crowded this time, which made the whole experience even better. Great food, great vibes, and a fun afternoon overall. read more

This was my second Puttery experience, but first at the Chicago location. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of instructions given by staff. Although I've been before, this location was a bit trickier to navigate. It took some time for me to track down a staff member who could direct me on where to go and what to do. Once that was settled we enjoyed the different courses. It was pretty crowded on a Friday evening so be prepared to wait a little. read more

This is the perfect winter activity! It was my first time here and I was surprised by how cute the courses are. There's a full 18 holes too, just on two different floors. I really liked using the iPads to keep track of your score and where you're supposed to go next. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was no line to get drinks at the bar, and the drinks were pretty good! read more

12/14/2025- Love this place! Great place to play mini golf with a group of friends. The courses are challenging and are scenic. Great place for large or small groups. read more

I visited for a holiday celebration and tried their "Chicago Bucket List" ticket. The space is charming and calmer than other holiday spots, and the drinks are good-- especially the Old Fashioned. I love that their drinks aren't batched-made. The food was also great; we had the wings and they were very delicious. Shoutout to Manny, who provided excellent service and was attentive to our table. We did have a small issue with table availability and staff communication, which was frustrating enough that I considered calling a manager. Because of this, I'm giving 3 stars. Otherwise, the drinks, food, and ambiance were excellent. read more

Visited Puttery for Frankenstein Mad Scientist Lab with my cousin and we had a blast! The drinks were delicious, a little strong and pricey but well worth it. Our server was attentive and super sweet. The food was amazing, I got the wings which had a lime spicy flavor and my cousin had the burger which was also really good. We also got fries with cheese on top and they were delicious! The music choice could've been better for this occasion and unfortunately the presentation of the food and drinks were not like social media had promoted them, nonetheless, it is still worth visiting this Spooky Season read more

Walked in there on a Saturday with a large group and did not have to wait for very long. We had drinks and some snacks which were great and decently priced. The only downside is having to maybe wait for your turn to play 9 holes, but there are so many other places to hang out and wait for the line to die down. read more

This place has such a fun ambience, many drinks, and tasty food! I came here on a a Saturday night and it wasn't too packed. It cost $25 to have unlimited play at the courses. There is one course on the main level and one on the top level. I will say it took quite some time waiting in between each turn as there are other teams ahead of you but the nice thing is you can walk around with your drink and there's places you are able to set them down at. Upon arriving I was told we could sit down anywhere and a waiter would come - that did not happen and turns out we had to walk up to the bar and ask for a waiter. We ended up ordering our food and drinks at the bar and carrying it over to our table. I had a tasty gin drink and a delicious creamy chicken and mashed potatoes with broccoli. There was some sort of issue with my card being charged 4 times when I paid for my food - but they had the manager come out and he was able to give me his information incase it did not get resolved which i appreciated the fast and kind service. read more

Went to Puttery for their Frankenstein experience, and while the theme was fun, it wasn't super interactive -- mostly in the décor and cocktails. The drinks were nice but pretty average overall. I've been here before and the food is decent, but the real star is the mini golf. The course setup is amazing -- two levels, creative design, and just the right mix of challenge and fun. I especially love the Level 2 course -- it's tougher, more strategic, and makes the whole experience way more engaging. Between the vibe, setup, and playful energy, Puttery is always a fun night out. A solid spot for date night or a group hang if you're looking for something a little different. read more

It was my first time here. Went for a summer work outing, we were told we had the whole 3rd floor, but when we arrived, the patio was not open and didn't open until the last hour or, so we were there. Our party arrived on time for the event, and then we still had to wait another 20 minutes before we could even go in because they said they were still setting up. Once we did get in and found were to sit, they still didn't have everything set up. The food and drinks were okay but not great. They only had 2 bartenders for almost 100 people, and I had to wait like 10 minutes just to order every time I wanted one, and they were not that great each time. The place itself is nice looking but could use moor cleaning, and the putt-putt was fun but a bit confusing at first, and there was no one around to ask for help. Once we all figured it out, it was okay, but I'm not sure if it was worth the price and effort. read more

Puttery - Library lodge course - New American Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I'm giving 2 stars because I didn't try mini golf here, so my rating is mostly on service. We came to eat and also to mini golf, but the entry and food service process sort of took the wind out of our sails. The golfing did look cool, however. The rundown is: we walked in Saturday, 11/16, @ about 5:10pm, and saw a group of about 10 people in the small lobby. My friend, who had been there multiple times before, ushered me up the stairs. The hostess called to us and specifically said you need to come back down the stairs and wait in line. We found this rude and got some sympathetic looks from a couple in line ahead of us. That was the first red flag. A couple came in after us and also complained about the wait to go upstairs. Once we arrived at the bar on the third floor, we sat for ten minutes without any acknowledgement. We finally asked the bartender if we could order. She apologized and asked us to wait a little more. Finally a bartender took our orders and advised us to move to a nearby table for more comfortable seating. So, we did. After receiving half of our order, we were asked to relocate to another section because where we were seated was reserved for a private party. An employee helped gather our food and we gathered our plates and belongings to go to another section. This was so awkward. Another huge misstep was that the restaurant was missing key food items. My friend ordered a salmon salad, only to be told they were out of ingredients needed to make it. She switched to a green goddess salad. Then, they said they were out of green goddess dressing and brought ranch instead. Because she doesn't like ranch dressing, she asked for a vinaigrette. They brought adobo vinaigrette, very spicy, which she didn't like and it didn't complement the flavors of the salad she had. So, she boxed her salad to take home to dress it herself. Beautiful place; would be nice for a date or a group outing. However, the service and food experience were very lacking. read more

I had a GREAT TIME here!!! Unlimited mini golf for $15 is an affordable deal and this place is so nice. The decor is insanely well done. This location had two floor themes: The Lodge and The Library. Both were equally as fun to play and easily could be done within an hour or two. I was especially impressed with the technology they had in here! Not only could you keep score on tablets, it would follow you to each hole that you go to. So convenient and it's fun to compare scores on the leaderboards!! Our bartender was great in recommending drinks for us and he didn't skimp on the alcohol! Well made cocktails on the 3rd floor. There's a ton of seating in the area if you want to dine-in. Also, a great patio with views of West Loop! read more

Five stars for swankiness, cleanliness, etc. Two stars for price. Chicago, while cheaper than Alaska, does appear to follow a trend where restaurants are cheaper than entertainment venues. Entertainment venues seem to fall into a couple categories. Ballpark prices, and other entertainment categories (theaters, golf, live shows, arcades). Ballparks are, by far, the most expensive. Venues seems to vary. But the Puttery, was, by far, the most expensive. It gives off a swanky vibe but it is, in short, a tiny putting course and really expensive fare. None of the other locations visited in Chicago were as pricey. The putting course contains really small, really short courses. And 9 of them. There is an electronic scoring system that doesn't allow anyone to get out of order. read more

What a fun time in Chicago! My husband and I snuck away for a night in the Windy City for my birthday this February. We were a little iffy on what the weather would bring, so we planned some fun indoor activities including the Puttery! The decor was trendy and fun with lots of space to lounge, eat and socialize. There are two different courses to pay and I recommend them both. We ordered food in between games and I have to say, I enjoyed the food at Puttery just as much as the dinner we had later that evening. Street parking, a little pricy, no kids allowed and lots of fun! read more

Second visit and will not be my last. Whether it's unwinding after work or impressing a first date, Puttery gets a 10/10 for me. With each course having it's own theme, Library or Winter Wonderland, boredom is simply not an option. Even for an avid putt-putt player, I had so much fun and was instantly humbled but who doesn't like a challenge. Puttery - Third floor course - New American Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

A rainy day in Chicago lead us to spend an afternoon at the Puttery. Based on price we did the unlimited golfing. The courses are small, so you end up waiting for people longer than it takes to finish the hole. Bar service was nice and I appreciated servers walking around while you are golfing. Do not order the chips and salsa. The salsa was basically marinara sauce and the chips were seasoned by bland all the same time. We also ordered the hot honey sausage. There was zero spice/kick to the pizza. Overall the idea of the Puttery is really cool. Way more upscale casual than I was anticipating. read more

We were looking for something fun to do on a rainy Monday night during our trip to Chicago and discovered this place. The facility is huge with bars and tables throughout the whole place. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we had a great time. In particular, Aariah and Mack made our visit a blast! To be clear, this is definitely an adult establishment. The two courses are both fun to play. The themes are fun and some of the holes are very challenging. The electronic scoring was super helpful and meant that you didn't have to worry about using those silly little pencils that most mini golf places have. It was pretty empty the night we were there, but I imagine the courses can get pretty clogged up on busy nights. read more

Food was mediocre. Service was mostly nonexistent except for Darling. Our server was nice but stretched too thin, clearly management needs to not understaff this place and do better for their employees. All 9 holes are basically the same shtick - hit uphill and hope it doesn't roll back down, not really any of the fun silly things you expect at mini golf. read more

I came here for a rooftop party and was mainly on that level, which I think is the third floor. There is a lot of space. It had a cool vibe and allows everyone to be spread out. The outside, the rooftop itself was a bit small. I also love the vibe of the 2nd floor,m which I went to quickly to get a drink. On the rooftop, the bartenders were overwhelmed, to say the least. There were mainly two of them, but overall there were three. There drinks were good but the service could have been better if they had four bartenders at this event. The DJ was very good and we had a great time dancing, laughing and singing along with the music. read more

What do you get when you cross two, hard-working ladies who have watched the summer go by without partaking in everything Summertime Chi has to offer, with the Puttery Chicago? A perfectly, chill and delicious damn good time! My homegirl and I set out on an adventure one Friday like two mapless Conquistadores in the night. After wandering our neighborhood of Hyde Park, only to come up empty-handed, I called a friend who suggested Fulton Market. Oh yeah! I remember Fulton Market...that hip and happening stretch of amazing restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the West Loop. Let's do it!!! We found a prime parking space on Halsted and Randolph and set out on our journey. It was actually kind of overwhelming trying to navigate the many options and long lines, but as we were passing Puttery Chicago, we were intrigued. No long lines, an unassuming, speakeasy-like entrance and a friendly doorman. We asked a few questions and when the GM appeared at the entrance and encouraged us to come in, that's what we did. We tentatively made our way up to the 2nd level and queried the hostess about the haps. She suggested we go to the 3rd floor to enjoy a more laidback rooftop vibe. We enter the 3rd floor space and knew we found our tribe! Old school hip hop blaring through the speakers, a few people enjoying some rounds of miniature golf and a lovely, uncrowded bar overlooking the rooftop. We take our seats and check out the menu. My girl chose the Lemon Drop cocktail and the fire shrimp; I, the BBQ on a Saturday Night cocktail and lamb sliders. Our very friendly bartender chatted us up and answered all our questions about The Puttery. Our cocktails and food were absolutely amazing!!! The ambiance and music were perfect. If you're looking for a place in Fulton Market that is for grown folks, I highly suggest this place. I'll be back! read more

REVIEW FOR FRANKENSTEIN'S LAB COCKTAIL EXPERIENCE This event was horrible. While the decorations showed some effort, this is essentially a tricky way to get people into the bar. There are no interactive elements with any humans. Despite advertising a 90 minute interactive experience, there are no dressed up servers, no themed interactions, no tarot reader to be found, and drinks are just dropped off at the table like a normal bar. There are sports on the TV and normal bar music playing. It is terrible. The drinks are also overpriced and disgusting. Mentioned as "interactive," our welcome drinks were dropped off with no instructions as to what to do. One included a mystery envelope of black powder. I hope it was edible. Who knows? Additionally, the drinks tasted like ones found at cheap college parties. On Randolph in Fulton Market, this is ridiculous. We left after 45 minutes as there appeared to be nothing else to do. DO NO GET TRICKED INTO THIS "EXPERIENCE" read more

We were in the west loop area and wanted something fun to do indoors and found this place near us! It's an indoor mini golf spot with 2 courses - library and ski lounge. We were told that the library course is more difficult than the ski lodge course so we ended up going with the library one! There are 3 floors so it can be a bit confusing on where to go but the staff is great at directing you to the right spot! The establishment is VERY well maintained! The aesthetics are beautiful by the bar and the general seating area. The library course was so well done! The decor made us feel like we were playing inside of a vintage, old-school library. There were 9 holes and each round was super unique and difficult in it's own way! They do have a leaderboard with names of the highest scores of the day, which is great to see! The drinks were great, the server was amazing, and the vibes made us want to go back and try the other course for sure! We will be sure to try out their food next time also since I've heard really awesome things about it! I'm also interested to see if they will be adding any more courses besides the 2 that they mentioned to us! It's a great date spot or a fun spot to hang out with friends, especially in the cold when there's not much to do outside! read more
