I really don't have a big complaint about the store itself - the selection is decent and most of the staff are pretty friendly and offer to help when they see you. My big complaint is their sales ads which I receive via email several times a week. They put the same items on sale month after month, and the discounts are sometimes so insignificant they're not worth paying attention to. When they do offer some "hot buy" at a great price you'll find that they have zero inventory at the local store and it won't be available for shipping ( it happened to me today). I'm sure they intentionally do this to get you in the store in the hopes that you'll buy something different because the item you came for is not in stock or can't be ordered. It's basic bait and switch tactics which is just insulting. I find myself buying more and more online which I lothe to do but when I can order the same items online from a store that actually has the items in stock for a cheaper price, and they generally arrive the next day, it's too easy. If Sportsman's Warehouse wants to keep my business they need to play straight and not waste my time.

Couldn't be a better experience. We spoke to Dan (his name is Dan Geer - aka Danger), who said he would stick around after the store closed so we could get fuel for our camping trip. He couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He showed us the gear he had on special order, made some recommendations on where to explore in the area, and helped us get our camping fuel long after his store closed. We had an excellent trip thanks to Dan. Highly recommend getting gear here if you're hiking or backpacking in the Lassen/Redding/Shasta area.
