They cater to the north valley outdoor enthusiast: hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, barbecuing, you'll find your items here. This store is fairly new and is located within North Valley Plaza in the building once occupied by Mervyn's. The plaza has a lot of free parking and is easy to access from both the Cohasset Road and East Avenue freeway exits. I enjoy coming here to stock up on pellets for my Traeger grill. Easily the lowest price in town here. There is always a good selection and a wide assortment of options. They seem to have sales often as well which makes shopping here all the more enticing. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, too. You won't get a true Cabela's experience here, but definitely come if you are in need of outdoor gear at a good price.

But he wasn't doing anything. So I went back to the glass case and waited for someone to come over and show me the Rangefinding Binocular, I stood there for over 20 minutes. I never experience anything like this as a customer, because when a customer is waiting at a glass case I'm sure the customer would like to look at something. If there was a Zero Star I would have given it Zero. Hopefully upper management will look at this review and have a talk with the workers around the Hunting and gaming section. But now those Polar parts are not sold. All I wanted was a polar wrist monitor with the chest strap transmitter, but polar doesn't make those any more. Not Big 5's fault, but at least they tried to look up a solution for me. I guess it's back to Amazon to try to get what I want. The employees were as helpful as they could be, given what I was asking for.

Sometimes Big 5 charges a lot of money for items you can get cheaper elsewhere. This is why I look at the sales, because often you can find some neat items on the cheap. Service here is fair. Sometimes you need to make some effort to get employees to notice you. Other times they are on it and are ready to assist in any way they can. Considering it's in a small town, this is a decent store for its selection.
