We said, No thank you, we will just rent it. Took the stupid thing out for a total of 6 hours and the light started blinking, the next thing you know it's only running 5 miles per hour. We managed to ride it back to the rental company before they closed and swap it out! They had no problems swapping it out...obviously they knew it had issues! They told us...oh it might be the pump, I'll have my husband look at it, maybe you picked up rocks??? Or maybe NOT! This isn't our first time...we're out on the lake every Labor Day! A week and a half later my credit card it charged over $800 for the repair! I've got no description of work preformed or service done. When my sister called to see what the deal was, she was like oh ya, I picked up the parts today and my husbands going to fix it...save you guys some money ! Really!!!! Then I called and she was unwilling to speak to me and HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I guess I'll see you in small claims court! Not only that...bad yelp reviews are going to cost you a lot more! Stay away from this place!!!!!

But our experience from the beginning to end was extraordinary. And in the beginning, we also called him like 100 times because we kept getting lost but he was patient and directed us back. Gave us advice to pick up snacks for the calm parts of the river - which we were thankful for 2 hours in to the 3 hour rental. Gave us safety guidelines that were also worth knowing about the river- we definitely would of panicked as there are several bends and just keep in mind the first 3 bridges come fast and then the last two take quite some time as we did sign up for the 6 hour tour. It was great! The 3 hour would have been fine. But all together a great way to end our weekend escape. Thanks to Lance and his staff!! ***Thought I had sent this a while ago!!

I should preface this by saying I only bought a hat and hooded sun shirt…read more Anyway, so fishing - it can actually get really hot on the water. And sunny. So if you want to avoid slathering sunscreen on, the best bet is lightweight, light colored clothes that have some kind of built in SPF. Our fishing guide, who deserves his own non-5 star review (unless you count amount of marijuana smoked while supposedly working), recommended this place as I was suffering a bit from heat. From the outside, the shop doesn't look like much, but inside - wow. This small and neat shopped is like a fly fishing paradise. As I'm not a fly fisher and also not really knowledgeable about fishing, it was overwhelming. But cool to look around and see all the crazy things people use. Anyway, they had the sun shirt that I was looking for, and I found a nice hat. So overall, cool spot to visit, and great if you're into fly fishing. Parking is easy and they take credit cards too.

His North River boat is the best laid out and designed jet boat I have ever fished out of. Extremely confortable and open design makes sure nothing interferes with getting your fish to the boat. Great top of the line tackle makes sure you are matched with the species you are chasing. Myself being left handed he even has the tackle diversity to offer my choice of which hand I want to reel with in both levelwind and spinning tackle. When fishing is tough he knows the secrets to give you the edge on the competition, many developed by him and also local history to keep the day interesting. Great for all ages male and female, he got my daughter hooked on fishing and that gives us something else to share throughout the future. He is honest about the quality of fishing and isn't just looking to take you for a boat ride. My issue is with how I was treated after expressing understandable disappointment over a last-minute cancellation of a Father's Day charter that had significant emotional value and required planning around limited availability. After simply asking whether any alternate guides or solutions were available, I received a response stating they were "extremely disappointed" in me and implying I lacked empathy. As a paying customer, I believe it was reasonable to be disappointed and ask questions. Two things can be true at once: their guide suffered a tragic loss, and their handling of customer communication was unnecessarily defensive and unprofessional. I would have appreciated empathy and professionalism instead of being reprimanded for my reaction.
