Nice relaxed vibe with a great beer selection. Unfortunately, it was waaaaaay too toasty in there last night otherwise we would have stayed longer. I look forward to returning. read more

should I be shocked that the bartender walked out from behind the bar to take a personal call on her cell with a full bar and she had no backup bartender ? they call it Dive for a reason I guess read more

Nice selection of beers, & they have board games like Jenga & Connect Four & Battleship. Fun place, but rather crowded so don't plan on bringing a big group. read more

Was brought here the other night by a regular of the bar and I can see why he likes it so much! There was an instant sense of relaxation and intimacy that is bestowed upon you when you walk in the door. Our bartender Joseph was witty and attentive! Never felt rushed even thought there was a full bar. This bar gets big points for having a jukebox oh and did I mention there is a fish tank?? mesmerizing!!! Highly recommended, ask for Joseph :-) read more

When I lived directly across the street, I'd stop in every once in a while. Now that I have moved 3 blocks away, I've only been back once. It's one of those places. Sure, it's got Connect 4 and a half set of dominoes. But my apartment has Guess Who and beer that is 1/3 the price. The argument is always something along the lines of : "Oh you're going to {fratty bar}, I'm going to Dive 75 to play board games.", as if it is much more sophisticated to act 12 than 22. read more

This is a great, fun, affordable place to go in the UWS. they have a great selection of beers and cocktails and fun board games for all around the bar! read more

Deirdre is one of the kindest and most wonderful bartenders i've met in NYC. Truly an absolute sweetheart and so attentive!! made the night so much fun!! read more

Definitely my favorite afterwork spot. The drinks are cheap, they have cider and a really swanky delirium tremens tap, board games, friendly bartenders, and the most fascinating fish tank. Way less rowdy than Jake's, and way less creepy than P&G. Highly recommend it! read more

Such a fun local spot! It can get crowded on the weekends, but is a great spot if you come early or during the week for a beer with friends. Love that they have all of the classic board games you can play and lots of couches and comfy seating to chill in. Very relaxed vibe and great for a fun date night or night out with the girls. read more

Fun dive with Connect 4, diverse jukebox selections, and chill fun clientele. Recommended!

Your typical dive bar with some board games, free chocolates, and juke boxes. They have a few tvs for those who like to watch sports. Try if you're in the neighborhood, dont go out of your way. read more

WOO FUN DIVE! I have been in this area stranded looking for a drink before and this NEVER came up on my radar (is it new?? It felt like it had been there forever). It was super chill, had a FISH TANK, a pile of couches, and bowls of candy around. It's like my house, but someone else makes the drinks! The beer selection for a "dive" was very good. I could definetly see myself coming back here to knock a few back. read more

OK, so this really isn't a dive bar. It's clean, fun, (board games like the basement of a really nice suburban neighbor's house). A dive should have creatures from all walks of earth, questionable or not. This place was filled with young, stylish, UWS locals who may miss their old college pubs, but can't stomach a 'true' dive. A dive shouldn't be offering $12 saketinis... Poseur or not, this is still a nice bar to chill. read more

My friend was having a birthday party here. Another friend and I got there early and watched part of the Knicks game (#linsanity). There weren't any open tables but there were two seats open at a table, so we sat with some Australian boys. The crowd was very laid back, and there was a crowd. Not sure if its typically like that or if it was bc of the game. We could barely get from one end of the bar to the other when we first got there. It just got more crowded as the night went on. My friend and i finally got our own table where we lost track of time playing connect 4 for a good hour or hour and a half. AND they have a big fish tank. the fish were little but its still fun to look at. it felt like i was hanging out in someones (crowded) house. read more

BOARD GAMES AND BEER! Yes, this place is awesome, like all the other yelpers have said. Good selection of beer, board games, nice/attractive bartenders, chill vibe, what's not to love? I am a fan of their house beer, which is refreshing and yummy. Never really enough seats, since this place is so popular, but what can you do? If I lived in the area, I would come here all the time. read more

I like this place best for afternoon drinks and friendly sessions with board games. The vibe here can be unwelcoming on some nights, but that could be just me. Overall, it's a cool spot for the hood and an easy option when showing out-of-town guest this part of the city. read more

This is a dive bar for everyone. With a collection of board games that will remind you of your basement/playroom growing up (i.e. Battleship, Connect Four, Trivial Pursuit) you will never be stuck for conversation. The bartenders are super cool and sometimes put glasses of lollipops on the counter. There's a huge fish tank in the middle of the place, which is pretty much it for aesthetic ambiance, but when you have Connect Four, a competitive partner and a glass of Stella, who the hell needs ambiance? read more

great neighborhood bar. i feel like it attracts a college crowd on some nights, and a late-20s/early-30s crowd on other nights - still can't figure that one out. either way, this is a great place to CHILL during the week. come with a friend or small group to catch up over a board game and some drinks! this bar will always be a special place for me because it was the first bar my girlfriend and i came to when we moved to manhattan. literally, we lugged our shit upstairs, and then went outside on a warm rainy new york night to explore the area... we came across dive 75 and had a great time - the bar tender even hooked us up with free drinks cause we were new to the area! read more

Best bar ever- I mean every time I think of New York - I think damn I want to go play the jutebox and eat some candy and get all d'd up.

Pretty average dive. Bonus points for the candy bowls and games!

Happy hour. Candy. Games. Good music. Fish tank. 'Nuff said. Uh, what more can you ask for?

Great place for dates!! They have a bunch of TV with sports, typically baseball, and board games which is awesome. I went with a date a played connect four and a few different card games for a few hours and didn't realize how quick time flew by. They have a pretty solid selection of beers as well and I would recommend this place for any chill/low key night. read more

Games, candy, juke box, full bar, tvs/sports, and a very chill spot. It's more like a divey+ spot, majority of people there are laid back, usually with groups of folks catching up. reminder there is no kitchen, but its BYOF or they have a book of menu's you can sift through. read more

Great neighborhood spot. Especially for post softball team bonding. Deirdre really took care of us; made great drinks and provided a lively atmosphere. We will be back! read more

Great great GREAT bar on UWS. Chose to move to this neighborhood over others that my friends live in and slightly regretted it due to the lack of cool relaxed bars UNTILLLLL I came to this gem. First off, it gets PACKED. Go early if you want to get a drink within 5 minutes, but don't complain about the wait considering this is one of the best bars in the area vibe and price wise. Second, JOSEPH MAKES THE BEST DRINKS. Seriously, I haven't had that good of a drink in over a year. He understands liquor and doesn't just splash it in and also doesn't just overload the glass with whiskey. Ratios, people. He is great. Lastly, its NYC. Don't expect the service that you're used to, because you don't go here for service. You go here for the great drinks, great atmosphere and great prices. Note that any can/bottle has a $4 corking fee if you drink it at the bar (you can take to go). So don't be too taken aback. However, their draft options are pretty great (I'm a sucker for Left Hand on tap). As I write this, it's making me want to go for a drink now... Definitely worth checking out. Just be smart about timing. read more

Best bar trivia around!!! Pretty much there every Wednesday night and it never disappoints. The trivia master runs a great show and love the variety of questions and categories! read more

I love this neighborhood bar. It's a chill vibe, it's open late and the drinks are cheap. Deidra is the best bartender, love her!!!

Have been here a couple of times, the beer selection is fine, but each time I've come here the place feels cramped. Cozy is a stretch. Bartenders are good and it never hurts to have a TV on in the corner showing a ballgame. If I find myself in UWS sometime soon I'd check it out again but I won't be in a rush to come back. read more

This is good bar to hang on the upper west side. They have a good selection of beer at cheap prices. Instead of pretzels they have candy at the bar. They also have a good selection of board games to play while you drink you beer with good friends. read more

Good mid-way meeting point between those coming from the UWS and points south. Bar has a nice, laid-back atmosphere that feels like it's full of regulars who don't mind the newbies. Beer selection is adequate and reasonably priced. Good spot for a very low key first date for drinks...some forms of entertainment and it's busy enough but not too crowded. I'd rarely go out of my way to go here but you won't be disappointed if you're just looking for a few beers and maybe some board games to entertain a small group. No food is a bummer but delivery is an option. read more

I always have a great time here. Friday/Saturday nights get pretty busy but usually if you stalk people you can grab a table and then go one further and play a game! Great music, nicely priced drinks and candy at the bar - what more could you ask for in a dive? read more

The quintessential neighborhood local. I go here everytime I'm in the city, and it's nowhere near where my company usually puts me up. But I always take the cab uptown because it's everything a great bar sould be, plus wacky board games and a great jukebox. This place makes me want to move 3000 miles across the country just so I can come here every Thursday night and call it MY local. read more

A very chill and casual spot with plenty of game options! We came on a Thursday evening and it wasn't very crowded. Our group of 5 were able to find seating in the back by the couches. There is also plenty of table seating, however I imagine it gets much more crowded on the weekends. We played a few splendid rounds of Connect 4 and shared lots of laughs/beers. Good beer selection and cheap! read more

My friend's local bar where people can chill. small and fun 3rd place necessary for new yorkers because we aint go no air conditioning in our livin rooms. yum beer. read more

Really like this place. They have a good beer selection, nice seating, couches, and a ton of board games. During the day it is a nice spot to play games with some friends (doesn't get crowded, and the bartenders are always super friendly). There is also a good crowd on weekend nights. It's casual, but a little more mature than some of the college bars you might find in the 80s. read more

Great hole in the wall type of place, with great after work vibe and cheeeeeap drinks!!

Favorite UWS dive bar. Good beers, fun games, BIG bathrooms. I spent many a nights here and always had a good time. It's not pretentious - it's not dirty. Lots of 30 something's chillin and hangin out. P.S. Great fish tank read more

One of my favorite bars to just hang out at. Giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because they're not putting out bowls of candy regularly anymore. Not cool! read more

Decent dive bar. They were cool with us having pizza delivered to the bar - so this place is ok in my book.

went here for 1 beer. They have a cool fish tank. I dont know if I will go back -- perhaps I was here on an off day but it seemed like a regular bar. nothing special read more
