Dive 75, New York
Bruce K.

Time for another adult beverage after walking 25000 steps so far today and it's in the upper 80s. Yelp brought me to Dive 75 where I enjoyed a draft beer while trying not to get too irritated by the six yuppies who were too loud and too drunk. Whatever. The beer was cold. The air conditioning was cold. I had a nice break from my afternoon before whatever would be next. [Review 18377 overall - 375 in New York - 1899 of 2022.]

Jello shot anyone?!
susie K.

I was tempted by the jello shots but was impressed with the selection of tequilas. Was happy to see that they had a tequila I've been wanting to try - ja ja

this place was super cozy and fun. has board games, small food menu (pizza popcorn cheeseburger) had candy on all the tables (may have been from halloween) drinks were varied and fair, cocktail I got sour cherry gin one wasn't the strongest or best but hey it's a dive. not too many tables and few with large seating, most seats are for 2. popcorn came in a microwaved bag costco brand but honestly it was great. would come back for sure

Deirdre's Hand Crafted Cork Coffee!
David B.

Ya want a legit hand crafted Irish Coffee, stop in when Deirdre is behind the bar and ask her nicely to whip one up. Literally. None of this spray can whipped cream and a cuppa Sanka. No no no Beans that are ground and french pressed. Heavy cream whipped to order. Just like gramma used to do! Best thing this side of Cork!

Weak Pours!!

Very very loud. Bathroom is right in the middle of everyone. I'm partial to the Dive bar off of 96th and Amsterdam.

The mozzarella sticks said 5 of them but we got four of them. They were good none the less. ::bathroom alert:: Very clean bathroom. I was very happy about this because I had just ate. There was tons of soap, it smelled nice in there. The beer and shot special under $10 in the city? Haven't seen that in awhile. The beers are super cheap here as well. They feel like old NY prices! Can't complain. They have four booths in the back maybe it was three. I did notice one of the hanging lights was from an 80s pizza hut joint. Letting you know now the paper towels for your face at the table felt like jail toliet paper, very rough. The bar doesn't have bar stools with backs! You either need to get one or two tables by their mini kitchen, very hot there not recommended for preimenopause or menopausal women or one of the booths. This is a great bar they played 60s music a lot. Heard some weird al too! Very random and fun place to be. The bartender was nice as well as security! Try the burger! Worth the $9!!

We are low key couple and enjoy supporting local businesses. They do offer food but we only wanted a couple of drinks. They have some booths available if you come w friends. So if you just need to wind down stop by local 42 for a drink or two!

I was looking for a place to hang out while waiting for a few friends to see a Broadway show…read moretogether. The Woo Woo is in the heart of the theater district, and it looked fun! I didn't realize I was stumbling into a speakeasy. Password is enforced, but easily accessible! I found myself walking into a basement, and before me was a small sex shop equipped with toys, Playboy magazines, and tapes.... LOL after the host verified the password and welcomed me in, I was prompted to go into a curtain and walk through a bookcase. The space is so fun! I loved the decorations and the lights - it was giving a very fun, silly, 80s vibe. All the tables seemed to be reserved at the time, so I sat at the bar. Service was kind, friendly, and quick! I ordered a couple of drinks and the Happiest Meal, which is basically an adult Happy Meal. It comes with a small 80s toy, a cocktail of your choice, and food. I ordered the fish tacos along with the Eye of the Tiger cocktail. The bartender was really nice and explained how the space used to be a peep show in the 80s, which is why they leaned into the bit when opening the speakeasy. And there are brunch specials and karaoke sing-alongs on the weekends, and later in the night, a DJ comes in. What a surprise - I have to come back!

Review #1,122 Posted on 10.6.26…read more We came here for some drinks after some shows on Thursday night September 16th when in town in New York for my wife's 40th birthday. This spot was a cool place for gathering. It's a dark inside atmosphere, almost like a club, but not too loud either. Speakeasy's are the hip new thing for a bit now, and this 80's themed one didn't disappoint. They kept the jams going, and got the drinks out fast, & there was plenty of space to sit too.
