went here for 1 beer. They have a cool fish tank. I dont know if I will go back -- perhaps I was here on an off day but it seemed like a regular bar. nothing special read more

Fast service. Such a nice cozy getaway to talk to friends. They have board games to play and just a nice cozy place.

I love Dive 75. Any Friday night I'm in town, you'll find me there, hanging out with an awesome bartender and all the crazy locals in the area. Steve is the best. He even mixes beer cocktails for us when we can't decide which beer we are in the mood for! If you're in the mood for a fun night out with friends, this is the place to be. read more

We have lived in the neighborhood some time, and Dive 75 is a great spot. There's wifi, chips available for snacking, and plenty of room to play games. Stephanie is a pro. Her personality, combined with knowledge of drinks and, specifically, the beer selection, always make for a positive experience. We almost never miss trivia. Jason is a great host, and is always willing to explain his thinking for questions and will even take suggestions for future categories. Be sure to stop in Wednesdays at 8! Dive 75 is a wonderful part of our weekly routine. We can wind down with some games or get hyped over trivia, all while getting tasty drinks for a reasonable price. read more

I walked up into this bar tonight at 1.30am. I live 2 blocks away. Just wanted a beer before I went home, nobody was behind the bar. I walked down towards the jukebox to see if anyone was back there and there was a girl sitting at the bar drinking a beer, who said, "what do you want" , I said an IPA if they have any here (I had no idea she even worked there) , her reply was "say please in future, I'm trying to watch the Olympics"... Then she walked behind the bar, poured an IPA and had a bad attitude about it (she was not happy about it) She then walked back down and sat at the bar, drinking a beer and watched the Olympics.... Unhappy angry bartenders = bad for business. read more

I've been noticing that there is a debate about the use of the word "dive" in the name. The place is not a dive at all. GET OVER IT. But if you want a bar with a great atmosphere and low prices and a great selection of brews then this is your kind of place. The music is played at an intelligent level so you can actually have a conversation and the bowls of candy on the bar are a great idea. You can't even get gold fish at bars anymore. There are TVs but not so many that you're overwhelmed by them. Even the crowd is made up of good people. read more

Popped in here after a concert in central park last weekend. Saturday night around 9...it was busy but not too crowded. Good selection of beers. Large strong mixed drinks. Cool atmosphere. Friendly bartenders. As the night went on it got a lot busier but the bartenders kept on top of things. We had a great time here. Seems like a nice neighborhood spot. I'd be a regular if i was a local.... read more

It's a really great bar on the weekdays if you are looking for a low-key atmosphere with good drinks, candy and board games. Thurs-Saturday it gets a bit crowded, but is still fun. The crowd is 25 and up, which is nice. read more

Doc's cider on tap and board games, what more can you ask for?

Board games and booze. Pretty nice for watching whatever is on the tv or passing some time before the next thing in the area.

People are reviewing this and giving bad scores because it doesn't have food or doesn't meet their ludicrous expectations of chandeliers and Dom. Guess what - it's got "Dive" in the name, stop expecting it to be something it isn't. For what this bar is trying to be, which is an awesome low-key place to have a cold beer (and a very solid beer selection), it does it perfectly. Dated, yes, but again, refer to the name. Keep it up guys, I'll always return and bring friends, chandeliers and Dom or no. read more

Decent prices beer, board games, and candy - what more could you ask for? We are definitely coming back again. A little small but that feature just adds to the charm! Great place to take friends or a date. read more

Fantastic selection of beer. random candy selections strewn about and a large variety of board games to pass the night away to. My kind of place. Laid back and eclectic. The upper West Side exemplified. read more

Only been here once but I will be back. Very impressive selection of draft and bottled beer. Warm and friendly ambience with a great crowd. There are games to play and a very cool fish-tank. If you check in on 4square you'll get a free drink! I love bars that embrace technology! read more

I haven't been on a Friday or Sat night, but I can safely say that Dive 75 is perfect for a Thursday night. Extremely helpful and nice bartenders, a great beer selection (on tap!), and great atmosphere. Great for a night with friends, or a first date. read more

Hi, I just wanted to provide a quick review and shout out to the folks at Dive 75! Generally, I'm a little further North and go into Dive 96... However, after attending an event with co-workers in the Lincoln center area... several of us were looking for a fun place to relax, grab something to drink, and have fun. The area on 60th is a little 'touristy', so I thought of Dive 75... a short walk away.. Arrived, and immediately the doorman/security Zeus had us checked in, found a spot for our group, and welcomed us, made everyone comfortable immediately. Also, want to tell you about Steve, the bartender, took care of everything, I told him the type of group I was with, and he created the perfect drinks for us! Everyone had fun, made me look like a hero, and Steve & Zeus and the crew made everyone fell like family, everyone had a good time! and they're still saying 'when are we going back to that dive bar with the games?! Magic Marc fyi: the Dive 96 folks are just as awesome! read more

Friendly place with games and a relaxed atmosphere. Can be very busy at the weekend with the small venue. All in all, never had a bad night here. read more

Great spot to just chill out and relax. I enjoyed a game of Battleship and some beers sitting on the overstuffed leather couch with my boyfriend. Great happy hour prices and a fun place to play games. The free candy is also a bonus! read more

A fun neighborhood bar with friendly bar tenders who know their sports! A large variety of Board games, wide beer selection, clean restrooms and colorful fish tank make this place my go to spot for drinks and sports read more

Shut this place down after our assy New Year's at Webster Hall. Drinks for 5 for less than the price of one Webster Hall ticket. Played solid tunes and the bartenders were well attentive despite the place being relatively busy. read more

Love the atmosphere, fishtank, seating, couch, beer selection! Bartenders are hit or miss.. some friendly, some apathetic. The prices are not divey, much cheaper spots north on Amsterdam... but probably not as chill. I will say, I have had skunked/flat Delierium here at least twice. Keep an eye on those kegs! read more

Really great, fun place. Loved the board games (although it seemed like two Scrabble sets had been combined with one board) and they have delicious beer on tap. Very dive-y but seemed fairly quiet and welcoming (although it got busier as the evening went on). Good Happy Hour prices. read more

Dive75 is my favorite bar in Manhattan, and quite possibly, the world. I've had many gatherings here over the years, and it always yields a fantastic time. Steve, Stephanie, Kristy, and Joseph are my favorites behind the bar, and Zeus is the best doorman you'll ever meet. The robust tap selection is around 50% constant, and 50% changing, so you can definitely choose a go-to beer and still try out new ones. The only con I would give, is that the restrooms could use a little TLC. But you'll get plenty of TLC from the staff, along with the free candy (and oriental trail mix if you ask for it), and zany board games. See you at Dive! read more

It's a friendly dive bar, on the smaller side, but has board games which is neat. The bartenders were always super friendly.

This place plays Cardinal baseball games. Come here Cards fans and support Dive 75! A decent selection of beer, too.

This is a pretty chill bar. It has a lot of board games to play but 90 percent of them are missing the pieces to play. The only game you can play is pretty much connect four. Other than that it was a nice bar to relax and chill at read more

Stopped in yesterday for a couple of drinks before dinner. Cozy place good prices and beer selection.. seemed like a nice neighborhood place. Would definitely go back when near there again. read more

LOVE.... free candy, free shots, decent prices...and friendly service.. (plus board games and fish).... perfect bar for a fun night out!

Was right down the street from our apartment but we rarely went there. Good beer and fun to play board games but no food and odd layout.

Inexpensive, great selection of drinks, fun bar games. Generally my favorite upper west side bar.

i really want to like this place- the location is great, the beer selection is vast and interesting. The juke box is fun and atmosphere is great. However, no matter how many or how few people are in the bar, it takes FOREVER to get a drink. Service is just too slow. They could at least have the decency to acknowledge a customers presence when you come in rather than huddling in the corner talking with other staff. I've been here about 5 times and 2 of those times, I didn't end up staying for a drink because it took long to order. read more

I have been going here regularly for awhile now. It is the perfect place to go for a drink and catch up with friends! It's never too crowded to be overwhelming, but it definitely fills with some cool people. The bartenders are attentive and overall awesome people. There are board games and free candy to keep you occupied while you drink the night away. I am hesitant to share this gem with the rest of NYC, but I guess it's time. It is my favorite local hangout! read more

Been here a few times, can be fun if there are games you want to play available. They seem to be running low on everything except connect 4, there's three boxes of those. Don't think people want to play Clue there either, not sure why they don't get more fun games like more Jenga. But the service is friendly, can get crowded, people stay for the long haul so sometimes it's better to just leave if you can't find a seat right away. read more

This is how you do a neighborhood bar. Good vibe. Nice tunes. Chill. But don't tell anyone, it's my secret.

Had an awesome night out. Great beer selection even though I drink Stella . The bartender Alexandra is warm , friendly and cool as shit . This is place feels so local even for a guy out of town. read more

I wish I could give this this bar some more stars, but the sleazy old bartender was hitting on my friend, and then forgot to bring us our drinks. The place was pretty cool, free candy and connect four is always a plus, but avoid the bald guy he's seriously creepy and slow. read more

Great place on the Upper West Side to watch the GREEN BAY PACKERS beat up the rest of the NFL on Sunday afternoons. Always a good crowd, laid back atmosphere. read more

HORRIBLY RUDE BARTENDER RUINED OUR NIGHT We've been going here for years -- it's my boyfriend's favorite bar -- and we brought thirty of our coworkers here on one of the presidential debate nights to celebrate his birthday. We work in news, so we called in advance to make sure they'd be showing the debate, and they happily said yes. We all arrived, ordered a drink, the debate comes on and the bartender won't turn on the sound. After four or five patrons requested the sound on, she turned the debate off entirely, and within ten minutes everyone had gone home. We consider ourselves regulars and were treated like absolute shit, despite filling the bar with our guests. We haven't been since and will never go again. read more
