It's Saturday. The door states they close at 6. 15 mins before closing and the doors are already locked. The neon sign says open.

About 10 days ago, I tried another salon but wasn't satisfied and even lost two nails. Since I don't like to complain, I decided to look elsewhere. I'm so glad I found Luxury Nail Bar--they are amazing! Professional in every aspect. Thank you again, and I will definitely be a regular!

Yesterday was my 1st time so I called in advance informing that my nail beds are really thin so asked if they could pair me with a tech who can be gentle and not file down too much. The man said "no worries, we'll take care of you." I was unfortunately matched with Lisa. She was so rough even after explaining about my nail beds. She also used her nails to aggressively push my cuticle lining back which was so painful. She was very irritated every time I said "ouch" and kept making comments under her breath. Every time I tried asking a question about the shape, she would talk over me saying "wait for finish, wait for finish". I honestly really thought of asking her to completely stop. I also requested natural looking, short and not thick, and this is what I ended up with! Chiclets. A friend who goes here recommended that I call and ask for Lily to explain the issue. I called in the morning and left my number for a callback, but no one called me back. Now I have to go elsewhere to fix my nails and spend more money. Michelle who did my pedicure was great. She listened to me and even corrected the application on 2 toes when I pointed out some issues. Tipped her and was pleased. But even with Michelle being great, Lisa & the results I got, made it a horrible experience.

After months of overall good experiences at this nail spa, I had one technician who was very rough, in all the ways. Grabbed my ankle too roughly, pushed too hard on the massage, cut the nails too cavalierly while holding a death grip on my foot. I told him once that it was painful. He changed not at all. I mentioned to Kailey that I didn't want that particular technician again and why. She told me she'd take note of it. The next time I went there (with a friend) she told me she remembered that I needed a "delicate touch," which I don't. Just a normal touch would be fine. She gave my friend the rough guy. My friend audibly gasped when he grabbed her ankle. Okayyyy, so it's not just me. Later I was talking about this experience to another friend and before I described the tech in question, she was able to do so. She knew exactly who he was, be cause she had had the same experience. Finally, this very last time I went there, Kailey joked with my friend that I was late (I was exactly on time), and then she AGAIN told my tech that I really needed a delicate touch. I said "Nope. Just normal, please. Been getting pedicures for 30 years and only ever complained about one tech." After the pedicure, while my friend payed her bill, I went to the restroom. While I was in there, Kailey told my friend "And now we wait for the Queen." Ok, game over. I don't like my spa services with a side of passive aggression. I'll take my business elsewhere.

My nail tech started using an artificial nail to pull off my acrylic tip - finger nails and broke 3 of my natural nails. Instead of letting my nails soak in acetone then using their machine to file them off. Mind you, my natural nails werent strong but were long and none of them were broken except for 1 index finger. She then claimed that they were already broken when I knew only one of my natural finger nails was already broken. I told her they weren't even and she ignored me. I also told her to keep my natural nails long and she didn't listen. What upset me the most was the customer service! I have never not tipped a nail tech before but I left frustrated and didnt even want to complete the service because my nails looked horrible since she left two fingernails short and my thumb half chipped. It cost me $30 for these services and my nail tech acted like nothing was wrong. I would like to say the issues were caused by a language barrier but at that point, I left . I should have complained while I was there but I just wanted to get out of there and do my manicure myself.

Let me start by saying, the quality of the services at Royal Nails and Spa is totally dependent…read moreupon the person who performs the services. Luckily, an excellent nail tech was recommended to me and was wonderful. When I would visit the salon, one employee was always cleaning. The salon was spotless. WAS. Unfortunately, that nail tech was treated so poorly by the owner, the tech left the salon, along with several excellent techs. But that tech recommended another nail tech that I have been going to since who is also excellent. However, the person who used to always be cleaning has also left. While not dirty, the salon isn't as clean. ONE (there are 2) of the receptionists is NOT nice. The owner is only friendly and nice to her favorites. They favor certain techs and try to send customers to those techs. They also do not notify customers if a nail tech won't be available the day of an appointment. They will allow you to make an appointment with your preferred tech even if that person isn't scheduled to work that day. When you arrive, they will try to push you toward one of their favored techs. I will continue to go to this salon as long as my nail tech is there, but if they leave, I will find a new salon. It is a shame because this salon used to be a very good salon. It was always very busy. Now, it is never busy when I go to my appointment. I don't know if the owner managing it now is different or if she just doesn't care about customer satisfaction anymore.

I asked for them to be put on and top coated for shine.... That's all. The lady was very rude. Glued three on extremely crooked and when I pointed it out she rolled her eyes and pulled them off after trying to convince me that it was my fingers that were crooked not the nails. I paid to have them done here so they would last a week until my Halloween party. They look terrible!!! I go to pay and was told 104 dollars. Including the shoulder massage. When I questioned that the manager came and took off 40 dollars. 20 was the massage, which ok fine. But 42 dollars to extend gel some press ons!? Had nails falling off within two hours. The man who did my pedicure seemed like he didn't know what he was doing at all. He nipped two of my toes while cutting my cuticles, and one of them is now in significant pain because of how badly he cut me. When I asked him to scrape a callus on my right foot, he laughed, clearly not understanding me. I tried to explain again without even pointing, and he said "okay." He came back and use the scraper to scrub the bottom of my feet, and I kept telling him no the top of my foot, but then also scrubbed the top of my right foot, which I did NOT ask for and did not want. The whole experience made me uncomfortable and frustrated. I will say the manicure and facial were fine--I purchased a package that included a mani, pedi, and facial--but that does not make up for the pain and poor treatment during the pedicure. After everything, I spoke to who I believe was the manager. He was apologetic and said he would take $25 off my total. However, the pricing made no sense at all. The package was listed as $130, plus a $20 gel add-on, which should have totaled $150. Somehow, my total came out to $139.46, which is very confusing. If $25 was taken off, the total should have been $125. When I called back for clarification, I was told that a 20% discount was already applied to the package--but that makes no sense because the package price was clearly listed as $130 on both the menu and the website. It felt misleading and honestly like I was being played. Between the pain, poor pedicure service, lack of clear communication, and confusing pricing, this was an overall horrible experience. I give Zen Nails 1 out of 5 stars and will absolutely never return

What I didn't expect is to be greet by a security guard (or possibly a police officer) who aggressively demanded my shoes be removed while he walked in no shoe areas with his on. Personal experience - I was surprised by such small children being in fully nude pool areas. If this place was rebranded as a social club with saunas and steam rooms I may have had a different expectation but I was disappointed by the loud club environment in the hydrotherapy pools.
