Let me start by saying, the quality of the services at Royal Nails and Spa is totally dependent upon the person who performs the services. Luckily, an excellent nail tech was recommended to me and was wonderful. When I would visit the salon, one employee was always cleaning. The salon was spotless. WAS. Unfortunately, that nail tech was treated so poorly by the owner, the tech left the salon, along with several excellent techs. But that tech recommended another nail tech that I have been going to since who is also excellent. However, the person who used to always be cleaning has also left. While not dirty, the salon isn't as clean. ONE (there are 2) of the receptionists is NOT nice. The owner is only friendly and nice to her favorites. They favor certain techs and try to send customers to those techs. They also do not notify customers if a nail tech won't be available the day of an appointment. They will allow you to make an appointment with your preferred tech even if that person isn't scheduled to work that day. When you arrive, they will try to push you toward one of their favored techs. I will continue to go to this salon as long as my nail tech is there, but if they leave, I will find a new salon. It is a shame because this salon used to be a very good salon. It was always very busy. Now, it is never busy when I go to my appointment. I don't know if the owner managing it now is different or if she just doesn't care about customer satisfaction anymore. read more

I used to go here religiously. I had 3 HORRIBLE experiences in a row, so I found a new place. Yesterday I decided to give them another try. I had a pair of Halloween press ons. I asked for them to be put on and top coated for shine.... That's all. The lady was very rude. Glued three on extremely crooked and when I pointed it out she rolled her eyes and pulled them off after trying to convince me that it was my fingers that were crooked not the nails. I paid to have them done here so they would last a week until my Halloween party. They look terrible!!! I go to pay and was told 104 dollars. Including the shoulder massage. When I questioned that the manager came and took off 40 dollars. 20 was the massage, which ok fine. But 42 dollars to extend gel some press ons!? Had nails falling off within two hours. The place is very clean, staff is friendly and they are very efficient in their services. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of the manicure I received. The services felt rushed (doing manicure and pedicure at the same time) and the overall quality was not good. I got a no-chip manicure that chipped the very next day. By the 3rd day, all of my fingers chipped or broke. I asked for my nails to be shortened, the technician said no the color would look better long, I have since broken off 4 different fingers due to the length. read more

I had my manicure and pedicure at Royal Nails Spa twice. The experience is far from relaxing. They switched my nail technician few times during the services. I got dip powder on my nails. The result was not good at all either. The surface and shape were all irregular due to poor technique. The pedicure looked very bad also. I will add some photos even though you can't really appreciate all the details in them. I hope they could benefit from my review to better serve their clients regarding quality of service and offering a more relaxing atmosphere. read more

Worse experience ever. My nails look shoddy and are all different shapes and thicknesses. I went in for a French manicure and pedicure but by the time I left I had them paint them red because it looked even worse. The nail tech cut my finger and it was bleeding. They didn't even have a bandaid to give me without someone going in their purse to offer it. I still had to pay over $100. First and last time going there. It was horrible. read more

Nice space below average service I tried this location on a Friday afternoon. Upon arriving, the front desk was checking out a guest who received 30% off for their grand opening. I checked in and got a manicure, pedicure and eye brow wax. The manicurist caused one of cuticles to bleed a bit. The manicurist didn't get the dirt out of the nails. The pedicure was pretty good. I ordered an eye brow watch. The woman took slightly too much off of one eyebrow. When I asked her about it, she denied it was like that prior to sitting down. While waiting for this wax, I took the corners of the receipt and got the dirt out of my nails. When I went to check out, I received 20% off. When I got to my car, I finished the manicure myself. I won't be returning even though they have a nice space, it isn't worth the subpar experience. read more

I just moved to Dallas and was a little nervous finding a nail salon (since there are so many!!). After my experience with Thuy and Royal Nails, I will only be going here! Thuy was professional, fun to talk with, and she did an amazing job. I got the classic mani with dip (color 303). I loved that Thuy didn't make my nails bulky with the dip powder - they feel light and functional. I like my natural nails longer (no acrylic) and she kept the shape and length perfectly. Reasonably priced and customer service was fabulous. I went on a Monday morning as soon as it opened and appreciated the fast service. First and last time!!! I was sat in a massage chair that I was unable to use the entire time while getting a new acrylic set & pedicure done. The absolute most atrocious acrylic set of nails I have ever received! The lady doing my nails told me what I wanted, how I wanted them and that I was "to relax while she did what she was doing because she knew what she was doing!" It was painful! BEST.NAIL.SALON. EVER. First of all... they are so incredibly friendly and warm from the moment you walk in... it's delightful. The menu of options and services is right up front to pick what you want and there is the option of adding whatever extras you need. I added a 20min neck and shoulder massage to my pedicure and it was worth every dollar. it was fabulous. Their equipment was new and clean... and they use great quality products including natural citrus fruits to refresh your skin. They really take their time to make sure you're totally relaxed and enjoying your service. They have a kid-size pedicure chair as well. I had a lovely experience getting my nails done preemptively for vacation. I got the Royal Diamond mani-pedi and La and Kelly did a great job. I have had callus problems with my feet due to working from home and being barefoot and my usual nail shop hasn't been able to made any headway. I have lived in the DFW area all my life and am STILL struggling to find a nail salon that does a consistently great job. This place is right in between work and home, so I was hoping that this would be the place. I called, made an appointment, specifically asked for a tech that can do designs, as I wanted small simple hearts for valentine's day. He said okay and that they could do that. I get to the salon and show my tech, Ly, the photo and said I wanted them to look just like that. She seems confident she can do it. When it is time for the design, she is basically drawing large upside down triangles on my nails. I tried communicating that I wanted them smaller, just like the picture, and more of an arch at the top of the heart. She said okay but she couldn't execute them, so I just told her to take the design off all together. I would have been embarrassed to walk out with the hearts that she had tried to paint on my fingers... I was really excited to get super cute nails for valentine's day, and was let down as I am left with red speckles on one hand. For reference, the first pic is what I showed vs. what I got. Very disappointing, when you schedule an appointment and request a design, put a tech that is good at designs on it! Decided to give this place a try for a Mother's Day treat. BIG MISTAKE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. It will be my first and last time. I specifically asked if there would be an additional charge for gel for a child's manicure and was told it was the same price. Once finished, I paid not thinking about the exact fees (as we had other plans to get to) and called a few minutes after leaving to figure out why the total was so much. I wanted to like this place but sadly it fell short. I want to say that I had one lady do my pedicure and she did a wonderful job. My whole pedicure experience was amazing. I wish I could say the same for my nails. I have been to other salons for a dip manicure and this is by far the worst. He didn't even take off all of my previous dip before starting in. The application was sloppy as I have color beyond my cuticles. The nails are lumpy and have bubbles in them. My thumbs don't have a smooth curve on the end. There was glue all over that he didn't get off either. It's my fault for not saying something when I checked out but it makes it awkward when he is working right there on someone else's nails. When we went in there everyone was very friendly and we were excited to get our nails done... but then everything just went left when this guy was doing my baby sister nails.. he was not experienced and plus he was squeezing her hands to where it hurt and he did not do her nails the way she requested.. my baby sister was crying and she was so angry.. then it took 4 other lady to fix her nails and the owner did not do anything about it.. no discount no nothing she still charge all of us the same price.. the money was not the issue the lack of understanding what the customer was wanting and requesting was the issues.. by that time I was ready to get out of there and everyone seem to be rushing just to leave.
