A quick note how outstanding Jeffrey's support was, both in customer service as well as trusted "stylist." First, I decided to change an older Dita frame from sunglasses to prescription lenses. Jeff recommended to also do a sonic cleaning of the quite battered frame to make them look like new. When they came back from the lab, Jeffrey wasn't 100% satisfied with the results and went out of his way to make them perfekt, ordering special equipment and supplies to do the cleaning in store. Amazing indeed. Second, I was browsing for an additional frame, and Jeff was incredibly knowledgeable and spot on suggesting options which I'd never have considered myself. A designer himself, he has the eye to match particular frames and lens shades and shapes to one's face and personality. I ended up with a rose gold frame and slightly rose tinted lenses... which I'd originally considered way too '70s!! But they are very special, work perfectly and I now love them!! DITA is a great spot for optical frames. The team was super knowledgeable and genuinely helpful, with a low-pressure approach that made it easy to browse and ask questions. I also appreciated the broad selection. I'd recommend going there. They carry really unique styles that I haven't seen elsewhere. The only reason it's not a perfect experience is that they don't accept vision insurance, which can be a meaningful downside depending on your plan. read more

Purchased glasses January 2025. Today is April 18, 2025. Great style but I have been back 4 times because the nut that holds the screw in both the arm and frame fall off by themselves. After the 2nd time, I took care not to fold the arms for the night but rather sit them down with arms open, ready to put on. I explained this to the employees there but I was still presented with the possibility that it may be my fault. I was offered a different frame along with the lens as compensation. Repeat: The screws/nuts have fallen off 4 times. What kind of frame does that? A defective one. On my third visit I was given a new frame but same arms. I'm assuming because it was done in the back, out of my view. Today I was given a refund (which they never do according to the person I spoke with) but not for the lens since they are prescription lens. Okay, I have a defective product and only getting partial credit. Does that make sense? If I was given full credit, I would not be writing this. Oh, glasses and lens plus some other items on the bill, more than $1000.00. Stay away. read more

If you know me at all, you know that I like to collect glasses. Both prescription glasses and sunnies. If you didn't think you could have an "eyewear wardrobe" then we might not be friends. For every occasion, there is a perfect pair to compliment what you're wearing and it's just that important that you match it. Let's call this "Elements of style." Most people don't know about this brand but because of my obsession with eyewear, I recognized the name instantly. The only other place I've been to a "Dita" boutique is in LA (where I happily drooled over all of the frames.) When a friend asked me to take a day off in SF to wander around Union Square, I couldn't resist. SF is the best place to people watch and walk into these ultra high end destination boutiques that we simply don't have here in San Jose. I wasn't even planning on going into Dita (I didn't know we had a boutique here) but once I saw it, I almost squealed inside with giddiness. Oh Dita. I spied the store and told my friend that we had to go in there because of their frames. When she asked how much these frames cost, I said You *must* see these pieces in real life because it was only then that she could fully appreciate the quality of this eyewear. (Note how I completely ignored the question.) We walked up to the front door, peered inside and there we saw the most fashionable gentleman with the coolest pair of glasses on. The music was blasting and the store was *closed*. He could see our smiling faces and before we walked away, he walked to the door and unlocked it motioning for us to come inside. What greeted us was nothing short of glorious. Jeramie is his name and he was kind enough to let us in after hours. With some old skool hip hop music blasting over the loudspeakers, we had the store to ourselves. Good music and glass shelves full of Dita eyewear? Sign us up. It was then that the magic started to happen. Jeramie started pulling frames left and right for us to try on. And my friend who had no clue about the Dita brand was now getting intimately acquainted with it. Not only was she getting intimately acquainted with it, but she was also starting to fall in love with not just one, but several pairs. I giggled to myself because she unknowingly submitted herself to my impulse to shop in a store that she would have never thought to go inside. And now here she was about to drop some serious dough. Don't you love it when that happens? If you don't know this brand and you need some frames that aren't your regular run of the mill- see them on everyone else-- then come in here. See Jeramie. He's the man. Let him work his magic and find you a frame (or three). And watch yourself swoon. read more

As I get older, my vision has slowly declined. Even though I have a light prescription, I decided for the first time instead of getting glasses at Costco, I'd splurge and get a name brand pair of prescription glasses/sunglasses. Dita has been around for a long time but only recently has opened up a store in San Francisco. So I came in at the end of August and tried on a few different styles of Dita frames. I decided on the Flight 006 frames. I was told it can take up to 14 days turn around because apparently the frames have to be sent to LA to have their opticians put the lens in, etc. Long story short, the first time my glasses came in, the prescription lens was wrong. So it had to be sent back to LA so that they could try again. I finally received it for a second time yesterday. Overall I'll say that Dita makes good quality frames and sunglasses. (Quality worth four stars) But because of the time spent being shipped. Also the lack of communication from the store regarding the status of my glasses didn't leave the best impression. When I'm spending over $1000 for glasses, I expect better customer service. Along with that, having to return to the store three times after the original purchase, I thought compensation or at least an apology would suffice but no. Next time I'd still get Dita frames but look for one of the many optical stores locally who carry their brand and that actually fill the prescriptions locally as well. If you are just buying sunglasses I'd say coming here is fine. read more

This is my review: I went to pick up my glasses at 2:45 at the "flagship" store in San Francisco. When I arrived I found a note on the door saying that the shop was closed and a dial reflected a return time of 3 p.m. I waited outside, on the corner or looking into the window of the shop next door until 3 pm. When I returned to the front door at 3 the sign had been changed to 3:25. I tried to call but the number listed is no longer in service. I waited at least 45 minutes for the shopkeeper to return. When he returned he told me that he was taking a break and apologized for the inconvenience. He then brought me my glasses and told me they were out of cases because they had sold them all. I told him that of course i needed a case for the glasses that i paid $1400 for. The clerk told me he would mail it to me when new ones came in. After asking for the manager's information, he looked around for a temporary case and found the cases that came with the product in a cabinet. I just did not know they were there. Lastly, the case that Dita provides is too large to fit in the the average purse. I'm not sure who designed this but I'm sure it was not a woman. The case is not of appropriate size or quality for such a "high end" purchase. Even though I love my glasses, I would not buy from Dita again. If I am going to spend such a large amount of money on a product, it will be from a company that has better customer service and a protective case that is appropriate for the amount of investment made and the customer's needs. read more

I went up there from Blossom Valley a couple of months ago. The staff was really great - very friendly and accommodating! I left felling like I had a really nice experience, in a very laid back and helpful atmosphere. I think that a buying experience can sometimes have a big impact on, and make or break whether or not a client become a return customer, or a one time customer. When I initially purchased the glasses both Jeremy and Stuart were very attentive, cordial and extremely helpful. I noticed a small issue with the glasses about 2 months later. This morning I stopped by because I was in town for business and unfortunately there isn't a DITA store in Atlanta. Jeremy spent a few minutes of Jeremy attempting to fix the issue with the glasses.
