I will never go back to this shop. Two weeks ago me & granddaughter went to have our nails done. About 4 days later my finger tips around the nail area started to crack & bleed. My skin was peeling off two of my fingers. I didn't know what was going on an didn't know how to remove the nails. So we went back into the shop last week Thursday and I had the nails removed by Daniel. I asked him what would of cause this, he stated he didn't know. In the meantime my granddaughter is getting a new set. The nail tech acted like he did know what he was doing an did a crappy job. By the next day a nail had split and fallen off. She went back up there to have it fixed. Crappie job again. So I personally drove up there to talk with Daniel (supposedly manager) he had agreed to do a new set/w any color. So I called my granddaughter and told her, so she called this morning an he told her it would have to be the same colors she had before. So he broke the agreement that he stated he would do. So my granddaughter is left high & dry!!!!! My doctor stated that it was a chemical reaction to either the glue or b the Nextgen product. Funny...Nextgen is hypoallergenic. Took my mom and sister here for belated Mother's Day pedicures. We were a bit late, but the staff was flexible and rescheduled us when I asked. The staff was very friendly and were working hard (they got busy as we came in). We did try to add on manicures as well, which they said yes to, but I think they forgot as it got busy and I didn't want to ask again as I already felt bad they we were late. I will not go back to this place again I've been going for years and it changed management and I just still kept going. The staff was ok but very pushy (nothing new). They charged me an additional $10 for using 5 different colors on my nails and toes! No designs/art or long nails or anything- Just polish ! I think that is absurd. They also give the worst pedicures I've ever had in my life and I've been getting them for over 30 years. Your heels shouldn't still be rough and scratched when you get home. I have never in my life taken the time to write a negative review, but my experience was so awful my friends and family strongly encouraged me to do so. I received a dip powder manicure today from District Nail Bar in Plano, TX. First, the gentleman that performed the service seemed very rushed and very rough. He also did not take the tome to file down the finish at the end to create a smooth appearance on the dip powder. This resulted in a very, very thick finish with bumps. It honestly looked like my child could have done a better job. And then at the end he offered to cut my cuticles...he proceeded to literally cut into my skin making all of my cuticle nails bleed. He didn't even wait for the blood to stop flowing before he slapped on a top coat and rushed me out the door for a very large bridal party that had just checked in. I was in shock. I left with my hands still bleeding. I should have made a complaint on the spot, but I was in a hurry to get to the airport. Do not go here! read more

I felt eh about this place, I asked for acrylic round nails with white polish. Firstly, I honestly am unsure about the hygiene of the tools at this place (and that's not really a feeling I want to get from a nail salon) Now, on to the nails. I asked for round shape, i got some round, some squoval and the shape wasn't very symmetrical. The white polish was lumpy and not smooth and it made the bad shape look even worse. I literally had to remove the polish right after the wedding. I had to go to a wedding, and was starting to run late so I didn't have time to complain but I was pretty disappointed. Very nice place! The people are very friendly and make sure you are comfortable at all times. I'm glad we found a nail place that is close to us and that is also worth going to. My daughter loved the way her nails turned out and for a dad that just wants to make sure she is happy with them, I also left happy knowing that I paid a great price for the same service we receive at some other nail salons that charge more and are a lot less attentive. District Nails is absolutely amazing, from their nail work to their customer service. You can tell that they actually care about their customers and will make sure that you are satisfied. This is my second time at the shop, the first time I walked out and was in love with my nails. The best part was that they lasted 3 weeks (could have gotten another week out of them but was headed out of town). Leaving the second time, again I am obessed with my nails from the shape to the thinness, they look natural without any bubbles etc. During the second visit I had a slight concern the shop went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with my nails. Sheena is absolutely amazing she takes the time to not only provide a warm greeting but really establishing a rapport. Again speaks to the care that the nail shop has. Finally the shop is beautiful, spotless and they are very particular when it comes to sanitizing things which is a biggie for me. 5 stars for their work, customer service which is essential, and everything else. Pedicure fantastic but let me tell you about the manicure. It was unpleasant to say the least. I was bobbled and my arms thrown around like a marionette. She wrapped cords around me and then dropped a ton of stuff when flailing my arms side to side. Back to the pedicure, that guy was so into Property Brothers that he lost track of time and gave me way more than a 15 min massage. My winter feet got really pampered and it made me almost forget the bad manicure, but that is short lived as I look at my terrible cuticles and dimples laced over my polish. Ugh. read more

I brought my four year old daughter in for her first manicure, and I was afraid the staff might be annoyed, but they were so sweet to her! We were seated immediately and my daughter's tech kept checking to make sure she was comfortable and happy. I also thought they might give her some really basic manicure, but they even cut her cuticles and gave her a hand/arm massage. Another tech even came over later to put some little flowers on her nails. I was so touched by all of the attention and care they paid to her, so I will be back! I stopped in for getting my dipped nails soaked off and for a pedicure. The lady that did the pedicure was very sweet. However it was just an ok job that was done. Nothing special. My issue was with the gentleman that was taking off my dipped powder. He was using the drill so aggressively that it kept burning my nails. And when I would move my hand and say it's " burning me " he would stop for a second and then tell Me to look away. What difference does that make ? I can still feel it ! I said let's stop with the drill and soak them off. He kept using the drill though. I've worn dipped nails for the past two years. I know it shouldn't hurt like that when they are being removed. I just decided to give this place a try because my place had already closed for the day. I won't be back. read more

You DID NOT give me back my credit card. I do not have it. It didn't just disappear. You can say whatever you want, but I know you didn't hand it back to me. You gave me two receipts, a pen, and four $5 bills, but no credit card. I had too much in my hands at that small counter to realize, at that moment, that you never handed me the card. I realized it when I took out my wallet at my next stop five minutes away. Why would you keep my card? I have no idea. People steal credit card information for all sorts of reasons as we all know. You wasted your time checking anywhere other than the credit card machine since I walked straight out the door with my purse. I asked you specifically if anyone else had come to the counter to pay after I left and you said no. Unless one of your employees came to the counter, which you said they had not, they cannot be blamed. YOU did not hand me back my credit card and I'm sure of that. Let's end this. If there was an option to leave 0 stars i would. I recently got my nails done with my friend here and we both got tips and dip powder done. My first clue should have been that there was only one lady there getting a pedicure done. Although the place was empty, they still rushed with our nails and did a sloppy job. My nail tech was very aggressive with my hands and nails and did not do the shape that I asked for. I wanted almond my nails and instead I got stiletto shape and he said it was almond. All my nails were crooked and 2 of my fingers got cut in the process. Also they were not sanitary at all. The work was very sloppy and in the end there was dried dip all around my fingers. You could see the mixture of polish's in the activator that they use to harden the dip. Honestly it was super unsanitary and something i wouldn't want anyone to go through. Save your money and go somewhere else where it's sanitary and they listen to what you want. read more

This is the second review I'm writing about this place, since they were so upset about me abusing the purpose of yelp, this was my third time going to this place to get my nails done. I called a head of time and got appointment and told need someone who could do designs. I walked in and first thing I did was the design to make sure they could do. Two nail with marble design, the guy shook his head that he can do. When it got to design the guy start asking two other ppl how to do it, he couldn't do it so an other guy came along and the this lady try to fix it and it looked awful, I kept trying to show them pictures and even a video how to do it but I end up walking out with out the marble design. And no apology. That didn't end there, I got my nails done on Saturday eve and by Monday I noticed my hair get stock under the nail and by Tuesday you could see all the nails were opening up. And this was the first review (I've never walked into a nail salon that I was told they can't do a design and I had to walk out. I could stop laughing.
