District Eleven is such a gem in Vancouver! This spot blew us away -- thoughtful flavors, fresh seafood, and a creative twist on classic Vietnamese comfort food without going overboard. Must-tries: Crab -- incredibly sweet and meaty, packed with flavor. Yes, you'll get messy. Yes, it's worth it. Deluxe seafood bowl -- generous toppings with uni, caviar, scallops, and crab. Pure luxury in a bowl. Noodle soup -- rich broth, balanced seasoning, cozy yet elevated. Great drinks & super friendly service -- attentive but not intrusive, and food came out perfectly paced. The space is warm and modern, making it perfect for a cozy night out or a special little treat-yourself meal. Definitely one of my favorite finds lately -- can't wait to return!

Awesome Vietnamese fusion spot with great vibes and fast service. We didn't have to wait to be seated, even though it was busy, and our food came out surprisingly fast. The oysters were perfectly cooked -- not raw, but not overdone either. Super flavorful. And of course, their pho is a must-try -- it's what they're known for, and it totally lives up to the hype. Perfect place for late-night local eats. Will definitely be back!

This place was quite a treat for the taste buds. Some very unique offerings. We ordered: Accordion Cucumber Salad Umami Bombs Creamchi Udon Bun Bo Hue Hubby has had better Bun Bo Hue but everything else was fantastic. I loved the Accordion shape of the Cucumber. Sooo fun to see it dangling, and it was a very refreshing dish. It's a bit on the spicy side so only order it if you're someone who can tolerate a bit of spice. Especially loved the Umami Bombs! They were truly "Bomb"! The flavor of the sauce combined with that burst of juice from the tomato...wow! Such a delight to the senses. The tobiko in my Creamchi wasn't visible when the dish was first placed in front of me. After stirring the noodles a bit though, I found plenty of tobiko in my dish and it gave the dish a really nice texture. Portions were good. My taste buds were happy and I was full without being excessively full. Tummy was in a happy place! Oh, the table came had a hook built into the side of it so that I could hand my purse on it. I love it when restaurants make some kind of provision for hanging things!

Good place to go for dinner. The ambiance is nice and modern. Felt spacious as well, not crowded like other restaurants in town. Service is friendly and we felt comfortable. Food was great! Got the aburi rice and wok fried steak like many others. Also got the ceviche on recommendation from the waitress and that was our favourite! Would recommend

We had the dineout menu and everything was delicious. One of the best dineouts I've experienced in awhile. Service was a bit slow but the food made up for it. Favourites were the carpaccio with bun bo hue flavoured sauce, and the beef luc lac. They also included a sampler dish as a bonus. The space is big and clean. Would definitely come back!

Vietnamese Restaurant and Bar= District Eleven We needed some serious late night pho, and District Eleven was on my list for some time. It was a Saturday night and to my surprise it was majority men in large group chilling like it was Sunday night foot ball. With maybe 2 tables on dates. Interesting. Service was great and the Bun Bo Hue was very yummy in flavour and ingredients (great variety of meats). Portion wise for the soup noodle was like a small for most pho cafes. Most memorable was how spicy as in heat and the use of fresh chillies in their house hot sauce. In regard to noise level, there were tables of people pretty much shouting their conversation. Another positive, they take CC.

Modern takes on Vietnamese classics at District Eleven! They have happy hour up to 7pm and tried: Truffle Nuoc Mam Wonton Ao Nori Truffle Fries Banh Xeo Ebi Tempura From all day menu: Dynamite Taco Ba Heo Crispy Ricet-three pork Pho Bobeef noodle soup Bo Luc Lacwok-fried beef Bo Khobeef stew Vietnamese Drip Coffee It's a fantastic venue to go with a big group to try different delicious dishes. The restaurant is eclectically-decorated look of a lot of old-school Vietnamese cafes. The service was very good and the staff was attentive with us with filling empty water glasses and ensuring we were not missing any dishes and checking in how the food was. This visit was my second time and won't be my last!

Creamchi Udon - Nice balance of flavours to tickle your taste buds!

Wednesday evening was not very busy but great for a quieter ambiance. Service was detailed, prompt and friendly. Food was all very tasty. Rated the following: Spicy wontons = 3.5 A hint of heat with toppings to add different textures. Not overwhelming in flavour but could taste the shiso leaves. Served close to room temperature. Cucumber salad = 3.5 refreshing and mildly savoury. Mussel Motoyaki = 5 Perfectly cooked mussels. Creamy and tasty, well balanced flavours. Dynamite Taco = 3.5 A couple of Shrimp tempura over an imitation crab salad inside a charred pita like bread. Would have been better if it was encased in something crispier, not tough and burnt tasting. Was filling though. Abura Crispy Rice = 4 Nice mix of texture with the imitation crab salad on a fried sticky rice patty. Has a hint of heat from the jalapeno. Cremchi Udon = 5 Lots of subtle flavours shined through this creamy dish! Could taste the slight tang from the kimchi. Sadly, no rice was provided (menu stated it is included) to finish off the leftover sauce. Our table mates also enjoyed their lemongrass chicken and Pho Bo. The bowl of Pho was definitely smaller than most other Pho restaurants, and yet , it was a tad pricier. Overall, it was a good meal experience and a great place to have a meal with friends, at least on a Wednesday evening.

A modern Vietnamese and Asian fusion restaurant with a chill vibe. Perfect for dinner, late snacks, or simply for drinks as they are conveniently open until late (2am on Fridays and Saturdays, 1am Tues to Thurs, and 12am on Sundays). Overall, their menu seems quite innovative and interesting as it has a range and fusion of familiar, yet novel tastes. Not exactly sure which Asian fusions, but seems like mostly Vietnamese, Japanese, with a bit of Korean. Aburi crispy rice - quite appetizing with the chili mayo and ponzu glaze complemented by crispy rice. I definitely recommend this. Bun Bo Hue - a Vietnamese classic, but if you can't eat spicy then this is *not* for you. I had asked for mild spicy but even then was a bit too much. Creamchi udon - I'm so glad we got this as it helped off set some of the spiciness from the bun bo hue. It's also super delicious and creamy, couldn't taste the kimchi aspect though. Supposed to come with a bowl of rice to eat with the leftover sauce but we didn't get it, so make sure to ask for it. Main reason for minus 1 star is because the order of the dishes that came was rather confusing. Our entrees came before our appetizer which I thought was very weird. However, definitely will be back! Would love to try their cocktails, Bo Luk Lac, and their yuzu panna cotta dessert! Oh and get the creamchi udon again.

Perhaps this is a busier trendy spot at night but we came on a weekend afternoon and it was around 1/3 full. Parking can be challenging but there is some parking around the residential areas. Service was friendly and the ambience was casual trendy. The food is fusion so it had resemblance of Japanese and Vietnamese flavours. One tasted like aburi with crispy rice (was tougher to eat once it cooled down). The bun bo hue was okay, but lacked depth of flavour one would expect in a traditional bun bo hue. The fries were a GENEROUS portion. I have not seen such a big bowl of fries. They were crispy and not overwhelming with the truffle flavour. The also had a nice selection of drinks. The lychee flavoured beer was light and refreshing. It doesn't seem like the happy hour menu prices vary too much from the regular menu but prices are fairly reasonable.

Came here cause I misremembered my reservation for zakkushi next door wasn't for another hour. Got seated immediately which was nice. We ordered three plates to share Creachi udon Basically creamy seafood udon except mixed kimchi into it. This was really good and I'd definitely order it again. Noodles and sauce were perfect. It would be cool if they had some toasted bread option to add on just to soak up the left over sauce instead of me just no shame licking the plate clean LOL Aburi crispy rice Comes with 4 pieces. You get to choose imitation crab or salmon on top. We chose salmon. Pretty flavorful and enjoyed it. Banh xeo ebi tempura Shrimp tempura with a twist of fish sauce for dip with banh xeo flavor notes. While I liked this appetizer, I think it had a little too much sauce action going on. I think it's a creative dish, but I'd probably only order this again if someone wanted to try it.

Food My gfs and I came here for happy hours! We loved the food. The food was something that we wouldn't make at home. It's always good to cheat and eat fried out out there we shared all the finger food or snacks. We wouldn't feel guilty to eat the whole things by ourselves. Sharing is good in another word! Service The customer service was great. Servers were always attentive and provided what we needed. It was great that we wouldn't get this all the times. Sometimes when a restaurant is busy, we have to look for a server to get what we need. Ambiance Since we had gone for happy hours, it's dark out there. It's nice and warm inside the restaurant. Having a drink and enjoying the food with gfs, we all had a great time. The ambience was just about right that it was not too dark or too bright inside. The restaurant was clean. Customers were sitting near us but we didn't find it was too noisy. Sometimes we go to restaurants that they are extremely noise and loud that we can't really talk or chat with others. I personally hate to raise my voice and talk to others. Here we felt comfortable chatting and feeling comfy and cozy. The only thing is harder to find parking. There is a parking lot right in front of the restaurant but it is shared by a few restaurants. It means we have to find street parking. Be expected you park a bit further away and walk to the restaurant.

Had such a delicious lunch at District Eleven recommended by a lovely food loving friend. We both couldn't agree more that Vietnamese food are both of our go to comfort food that gives warmth and satisfies cravings every time! The dishes here did just that with a nice warm bowl of Bun Bo Hue and Bo Luc Lac. And I absolutely loved how they incorporated some non traditional fusion eats too to give you something extra beyond satisfying your Vietnamese cravings! Every dish was full of flavours and service was very friendly! Will have to be back again to try their happy hour that's served daily 5-7pm.

The space is much nicer, with high ceilings and lots of light - great looking bistro. I ended up trying the following: - Mussels: Very good. Classic dish, but I really like the use of cream in the broth. - Bánh Mì Cay Hải Phòng (Spicy Baguette Sticks): Good. A nice little snack, although it would be easy to recreate at home. - Lamb Chops: Very good. Cooked just right, and the pepper sauce added extra flavour. - Fried Frog Legs: Very good. This was probably the surprise dish for me. They weren't just the legs, but the entire bottom of the frog, so the pieces were huge. The garlic, butter and chili flakes gave it a extra punch. I really enjoyed this one. - Pho Bo: Good. Not the best pho I've had, but it's good enough to stand on it's own. Service was quite good. Very cheerful and quite attentive. Overall a nice meal. It's a great space, the food is solid, and service to match. What I really like is having the variety of both French and Vietnamese dishes, without either of them suffering in quality. Only downside is that is it expensive for what you get.

However i find the escargot a bit pricey with the quantity and the way it was prepared. Slightly too oily to my personal prefence The iced vietnamese coffee we ordered tasted similar to a regular iced coffee, missing the sweet condensed milk flavor for a vietnamese coffee

My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant.
