Then when I moved to Charlotte they have one right by my house !! They always have the grippy specialty tires I'm looking for and the tire warranty speaks for itself. They got me in and while they were slammed with customers they updated each and everyone with an expected completion ETA. I arrived twenty minutes early and was immediately greeted, and I informed the employee that I had an appointment. He then walked around my car to inspect the tires with his tire depth gauge. At 10:25 they hadn't serviced my car and a bay had been open so I asked were there others cars before me, and the employee replied yes, two others were also scheduled for 10:00 a.m.. I informed him that I was told that I'd be in and out by 11, so I canceled. Poor customer update from the employee. If he had given me an update I could have understood better since he was just standing around, or told me from the beginning I would have left immediately. Speedy service for sure. You've gotta pop by in the morning. Even without an appointment I was in and out in 30 minutes, and that includes the installation time. It was a pleasant surprise. However...if they don't have the tires in stock, then there will be some wait times, especially if they're traveling from outside of the city. But it was a truly easy and enjoyable experience. Don't go cheap here. Save your money and invest in good tires. It'll be the difference between your bed and a motel bed in terms of comfort. Really efficient and stellar customer service. Came here multiple times for balancing, rotations, and air. Most recently, we had a flat in one of the tires and came here for repair. Unfortunately, the hole was on the side wall so we replaced the tire. We started noticing vibrations at higher speeds immediately after the repair (we have an AWD). Brought the car back a couple of times for balancing, but it didn't solve the issue. Finally, I spoke with Chad- the store manager- on the phone and he immediately took action to diagnose and resolve the problem. He was very personable, professional, and understanding over the phone, as well as in person. We discovered the root cause being differences in wheel type/size along with thread depth. I came in to have a tire repaired on my new truck. I was informed by a very knowledgeable salesperson that unfortunately, due to the location of the puncture, the tire couldn't be repaired. He was able to recommend two tires that were available that were almost an identical match to my existing ones. The price was great, and so was the installation service. I took in my car last Saturday, everything went well until it didn't. I was driving my car and my new tire blew from the side wall. Thinking it was from the road, I went to try and change it but found out that they messed up the inner part of the rim. So basically they messed up my rim which blew my tire because of the sharp edge. Now I had my new rims for over a year and then go and get the tires changed and this happens. there is no way the rim was messed before I went to discount tire at North Lake. So, not only that I'm stuck in another state and can't make it into work. I'm going down $200 and something to get a new rim and maybe more. I'm walking into this store and demanding a full refund. I used to go to Discount Tire in the past, but after this last visit, no longer! I went in to get my tire patched as since it had a nail in it. The manager on duty told me that I couldn't and proceeded to sale me the most expensive new tire. I pay for the "new tire" because I was heading to work and didn't have any other options. Later on that evening, the "new tire" that I had just bought went flat on me that same day! I inspected the "new tire" and seen that no it wasn't a new tire at all! My tire was completely deflated after only 12 hours. I bring my car back to the shop and I told them that no they didn't sale me a new tire and the manager immediately got defensive and told me that indeed it was new but I pointed out that I could tell by the tread and the clearly the text and logos were rubbed off. NOT A NEW TIRE. My dad told me that they more than likely sold me my old tire back and patched the tire just to make a quick buck off someone who wasn't going to be as thorough as a guy who was clearly not homosexual. The manager on duty [who facilitated the transaction the day before] told me that they couldn't find anything wrong with this new tire that they sold me. [Oh really?] He insists that he would give me now a NEW tire. I'm like oh NOW I get a new tire? This was totally not cool and they fact that they tried to take my money is unethical nonetheless. I will start by saying that Bruce (the store manager) has amazing customer service. However, this does Not account for the lack of consideration for people's time. I scheduled a 12:30pm appointment to have my tire changed. I arrived to the location at 12:25pm and started my check-in process. After joining what would eventually be a "waitlist" I was asked to park in the front of the store where I would stay without any interaction for 45 minutes. At this point Bruce approached me to verify my appointment. We had a small casual conversation before I returned to the waitlist. 30 minutes later I was asked to come inside to complete the actual check in, this is when I informed that the tire purchased online (that went through their check) was not the correct tire. I ended up purchasing the correct tire in store, the asked to return back to my car outside and I would be pulled in within 15 minutes. Well, as I'm sure you can guess, it took another 45 min before being pulled into the bay. I understand that it was a busy day, however I would have appreciated it if I was informed that it would take a little longer than scheduled or given the option to reschedule. read more

Poor attitudes from the service writers, only came in to get a tire plugged and they told me to come in at 12:45 and I'd be done at 1:45. Fortutanly, Discount Tire at Northlake in Charlotte made this process as painless and economical as it could be. Long story short, after I had already shopped around, calling stores and searching on the the internet, Bruce got me a better deal on a better set of tires than I was looking for and he got them to his store within an hour of when I first called him. I couldn't drop my car off until shortly before closing time. But my car was ready and waiting for me at 8 am the next morning. I got an excellent deal on an excellent set of tires and it was done in a rush. Discount Tire was recommended to me by a friend. I would always recommend them myself. Discount Tire was the company I headed for today when my front driver's side tire went flat. I carry a compressor with me as I tend to attract sharp pieces of road debris. Anyhow, the tire was at 22psi and I re-inflated it to 30psi. Two hours later the tire was back at 22psi and half an hour after that it was down to 12psi. I managed to drive it over to Discount Tire at Northlake. There were a bunch of people ahead of me, so I planted my butt in a chair and waited.
