Came in on a Friday afternoon as a walk in to get a tire patched and although they were busy I didn't mind the wait. Upon entry, even though I was in the back of the line, I was greeted and told that someone would be right with me. They work the line fast and when it was my turn the guy helping me out was very welcoming. I was quoted a time and then took a seat in the waiting room. The chairs were more or less comfortable and they offer free bottles of water. I took advantage of their free Wi-Fi to get some work done and had no issues. They sent me a service tracker via email so I could track the progress of my car and it was pretty accurate. I was in and out in just over an hour and didn't have to pay anything for the patch because my tires were under warranty. read more

This discount tire is always trying to help everyone and the employees are very kind and considerate. Today I called and they said it was a two hour wait, but if I checked in my car for my flat tire and left for awhile, they would take care of it and call me when it was ready. I didn't have to pay much for my tire repair because it was already an insured tire from discount tire but I also appreciated getting a link to see the status of my tire repair and the call when it was ready. My 2015 Tahoe needed an alignment. I told them on the phone before I arrived that I needed a camber adjustment. They said they'd take a look at it. I get there, they look at it in the parking lot and let me know they can only do a toe adjustment. I know it could have used a new upper cam bolt kit but they didn't even suggest or try. I came by here for an appointment on a Saturday morning. I ordered my new tires online and had them delivered to this discount tire location to be installed. I arrived about 5 mins early and it wasn't super busy. I was helped right away and waited for about an hour total. It wasn't too bad considering it was a Saturday morning. They were quick and I really appreciated that so I could go about my remaining errands and what not. The lobby area is large, well lit and had plenty seating. Chris called me and told me about their mobile service which could install the 4 tires I bought at my house for an additional $50, which I agreed to. I had made an online appointment and noted that I had to have the car towed but decided to avoid the tow and potential damage to the car. Hunter arrived at the appointed time and installed the 4 new tires in about an hour. He was professional and courteous and assured me that he would be balancing the tires. COVID tire repair review! So I showed up at Discount Tire this morning just before opening. Signs on the door that masks indoors are required and some of the chairs are outside and separated by more than six feet. They've also put together a queue for greeting vehicles so that folks don't have to come inside. When the store opened promptly at 8am, the techs came outside to greet customers. I was second and he followed me to my car. Both of us with masks and gloves, he listed to my service order (fix the screw and rotate/balance the tires) and other details to locate my purchase in their system. At the end, he asked me to wait in the car until the tech came out to me. The tech did exactly that about 15 minutes later, also gloved and masked. My car went in and I took one of those outside seats and watched some more video on their wifi network. I heard the "backing up!" beep and recognized my car's cute but faint horn. The tech (still mask and gloves) handed over the receipt and let me know that I was god to go. No charge because I'd bought the tire protection package. Awesome service in this pandemic age. Professional, organized, good stuff! I recognize the concept of "buy local" but car repair is one of my exceptions. Overall I had a pretty good experience here. I ordered a new set of tires online but the next morning I received a call stating the inventory was incorrect and they can't actually get those tires. I was offered a similar tire for the same price point. They were able to get me in that same day. It was a quick and seamless process. A tech came out & got my keys and I left. I received a text shortly after to monitor the status of my car. In less than an hour it was done! That's the quickest my car has ever been returned to me for the replacement of tires. I was impressed. I hope to have the same experience when I return for rotations. Side note: When leaving, my tires were making a lot of noise so I went back in thinking something was wrong with the installation. I was told they recently paved the parking lot and the noise will stop once I leave. That's exactly what it was. The noise was gone once I got on to the main street. read more

I arrived earlier than opening and took the first available online appointment to expedite my service of a punctured tire from running over unavoidability debris from an accident on 77. It is a very blustery morning with lite snow furries so I approached the locked door at 07:57, since there were cars that pulled up after my arrival at 07:00, to see if they would be kind enough to allow us all inside. They did let us in and the young man immediately walked out to my car to assess the needs my automobiles tires. Upon quick assessment of a puncture repair, the technician immediately drove my automobile into the 1st bay for the needed service which I appreciated. The trunk of my automobile was quickly opened to retrieve the punctured tire for repair. It's now 08:21 and I ask the technician that eagerly greeted me upon my arrival how much longer would it be until my repair be completed. The technician checked in with the techs in the bay for repairs. I noticed the immediate pause of a good morning on his face as he mentioned to the bay techs that I was the 1st in his morning while the bay tech smiled and shrugged his shoulders with nervous embarrassment because they were working on cars that came in after my arrival. I received my automobile at about 09:00. I thanked the young man who originally greeted me and was on my way. read more

I purchased (4) tires from Discount Tires on N. Tryon yesterday. Their facility was excellent as far as cleanliness, good customer service but what ticked me off is when I looked at my tires later on that day & noticed the rim of one of my tires was damaged. I'm assuming when the guy removed the tire from the rim the machine or tool he used damaged the rim. Now the rim is damaged all the around and looks chewed up by a machine and looks awful. I arrived at 1:55 pm on a a Saturday at the Tega Cay location and they are locking the doors to close early and refused to help me. Yay for Ty! I was a little disappointed initially. I hit a pothole (huge) in South Carolina. My tire started going flat on the way to the nearest Costco. They said it was just a nail in the tire. Before I could get 5 miles it was going flat again. I came to this Costco ( which was then the closet.). They diagnosed the hole in the side panel. But they had to order a tire. It took 6 days to come in. They put the spare in for the meanwhile. I drive a lot so that was a huge hinderance. But each time I have dealt with Ty he is friendly and courteous to everyone. This was my second time getting tires at this location, but first time in over 8 years. I had been a loyal Firestone customer till I a couple bad experiences "drove" me away! My Infiniti Q40 got a nail in the rear tire, and being down to the minimum tread on the OEM tires, I opted to start shopping for a new set. I had narrowed my purchasing locations to NTB, Sam's Club Tires, and Discount Tire. Sam's Club reviews steered me to an NTB, but they failed to have the tires in-stock that I was told were there on the phone. I spoke with Discount Tire and arranged to get the Specific Continental Extreme Contacts I had researched for my car setup to be installed the next morning to get a promo they had running. I dropped the car off as they opened, and mentioned a reason for me not going back to Firestone was that they gouged the rims on my last car, and not to get these scratched - we went and verified the condition of my rims and I headed to work. My car was finished LONG before I needed it ready, and was able to quickly pick it up. I was disappointed to see my rims gouged, by unlike Firestone, they handled it immediately and beyond my satisfaction. I was not looking for money, so they arranged to have the scratches removed. The tires handle great, the install cost was in line with everyone - no additional fees were snuck in, and the customer service was excellent. Things happen - it's how they are handled that is the real importance, and this location did a great job. read more

I came into the store and spoke with a young lady with red hair I had a nail in my tire. She told me it would be an hour and 15 minute wait. I sat outside for a hour with my keys on the bench patiently waiting. I then went inside wondering why I had been sitting for an hour and no one had touched my car... I was told that nothing was typed up about my car so I had just been sitting for a hour. I asked to speak to a manager who was a bald guy with blue eyes.... honestly he didn't seem to care much about me being unhappy and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. He asked me if I had left... Sir, I was sitting outside on a bench at the "front door" for a whole hour. It's only two benches in front of the door. They had me sitting outside for a whole hour and then tried to CYA when I stated I had been waiting for a hour and said "oh you're next!" I'm only next because I said something. I came to discount tire because I had a nail in my tire and was driving with my spare on. When I got there, i was helped immediately, before I could even get out of my car. It was amazing. I realized after speaking with Matthew that they couldn't just patch the tire because the tread on the tire was worn thin (understandable-a liability issue). I ended up needing a new tire, and this could have been really stressful. However, Matthew helped me shop around for a mid grade tire and didn't just try to sell me the most expensive one. He really went through an explanation of multiple tires and their benefits, and he helped me compare multiple tires.
