I paid for a very expensive army grade kevlar tire they ordered them but when they arrived they switched them and claim they didn't fit my vehicle and charged me more money again for a cheaper tire... Goodyear in Cornelius, NC really is a great place. I was visiting from out of town and had an emergency with my car. I didn't exactly know what the problem was and Goodyear figured out the problem. Thankfully, it was a few loose and missing screws! They could have said it was something more serious and more expensive) but they did not. They were honest, professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I cannot say enough good things about Melissa the store manager, Shane the assistant manager and Tim the service manager. I had a slow leak in my tire on a trip to Cornelius, NC. Stopped in to the Goodyear Auto Service station. I was given prompt friendly attention as soon as i entered the shop. Though they couldn't immediately fix my tire, they set reasonable expectations of their ability to service the vehicle in the next 2-3 hours. I got a call about 2 hours later that the tire was repaired. A nail was the culprit. As part of the service, they balanced the tire, inspected & reported on tire wear (it was fine) and explained the 3 month warranty. After living in Cornelius for 10+ years I found a good shop with good workers. I have recommended this place to 100s of people because of their shop workers. Unfortunately, all of my bad experiences with the worthless management of Melissa has taken its toll. They have the absolute worst person as far as attitude, behavior, and people skills interacting with customers. She should be hidden behind closed doors and never have interaction with customers. I can't imagine how miserable it is to work for her! Tim should 100% be running that place, he is hands down the reason why I used to go there, and why I recommend the place to so many people in town. I still defend the place even when people tell me how horrible it is to deal with Melissa. But today is the end of that!! I will be calling corporate first thing Monday morning in hopes they will take action or, and I will make it my personal goal to get Melissa out of there as I will no longer stand behind Goodyear! read more

They rip you off. They charge more the 200% for parts and exaggerate the needed labor hours. Find and honest local mechanic. Went in for a state inspection and of course they found things wrong with my car. Which is fine, but what they tried charge for parts and labor, was unethical! read more

BEWARE! Took my car in for a state inspection so I could pay my registration, 45 minutes later I get my car back with a circular burn mark in the leather of my passenger seat cushion. Tim the shop manager was completely dismissive and even aggressive in telling me they didn't cause the burn mark in my seat. The problem is that the burn was not on my seat 45 minutes earlier when I dropped off my vehicle. I contacted the Good Year corporate office and then was pushed off to the the executive level of Good Year's Corporate office, which did nothing and no one would help me. I guess when you turn your car over to a company like Good Year they can return your car back to you damaged with no consequences and take no responsibility for the carelessness of their employees. I took my car in for a noise going on at the front passenger side of my car. They told me it was just my rim being bent and I should rotate my tires and suggested getting a new rim. I took it to another shop and they did verify that the rim was bent but it had nothing to do with the noise I was hearing. I have a bearing going bad, Apparently these guys at Goodyear were to lazy to take it for a drive? Or even take the wheel off to take a look? Very disappointed. read more

I brought the tire from my car that was deflated in order to repair it. There was a small hole from the nails. I left the tire and they called me and said that not only a hole in the tire but also a broken sensor. I asked them how this could happen, they said that most likely I were driving on a flat tire, but this is not true because last night I arrived home and the tire was normal and only in the morning I noticed that it was flat and I noticed a nail in it. It also looks like the sensor was broken on purpose. I talked with a specialist from another tire shop and they said that it looks like the sensor was broken on purpose and it is impossible to break it as if I were driving on a flat tire. read more

This establishment just tried to scam me, please read before it happens to you. I brought a dodge ram for an inspection to them and they found a powersteering leak. The leak was coming from the return hose that costs $20. There assessment was that i needed the following... Hose replacement. $119 Left outer tie rod end. $205 Rack and pinion. $547 Replacement power steeling fluid and flush. $95 Oil pressure sending unit $145 Allignment. $95. Before tax that total was $1206 for something that i just fixed for $23 total including the fluid. This is more than a miss diagnosis. They were trying to rack up the charges because it was a simple fix, i had 2 other honest mechanics to verify all the other parts did not need to be replaced. Fluid had leaked onto these parts, but they were in great shape and are fine. This was either an unethical scam or an extreme case of incompetence... either way, you dont want either of these qualities to be found in someone you are trusting with your vehicle. I never leave reviews, but i am shocked and very angry that i was almost scammed and i hope this helps someone else avoid my experience. read more

UPDATE: I've had my tires for about a year and have noticed some excessive road noise and roughness when driving over the past few months. After taking my car for a tire rotation and balance, the shop informed me that my 2 right-side tires had been installed backward, with the tread facing the wrong way. The result? Chewed up tires and a wheel strut that had to be replaced. What tire company installs wheels backward? Needless to say I won't be using Goodyear auto service again. read more

Expected more than I can get at Walmart for even less... Well - took the car off for an oil change - after making an appt online. Was told the online system doesn't work well and they were loading up by phone and walk ins ("we are car tech guys....not IT guys") and asked to leave it. Np - planned for this. Left info and picked up about 2 hours later. No vacuum, no window clean, just oil on my white hood and grease on the tan interior. Really guys - amateur hour is next door supposedly with J-Lube...but, they offer more. Hopefully, they got the synthetic oil change correct - fingers crossed (and so might be the plug threads). I had a broken tire valve pin and could just manage to drive to the place somehow. Reaching there, they found the wheel lock key missing from the car and Audi dealership was "non-responsive" due to Sunday. I got a welcome to the Neighborhood coupon from another shop in the area, for a "Free" Oil change. Well of course when I got there Free was $82 Oh, but since you have the coupon for FREE I will give you a discount of $40. While getting the oil change there was a Nail in the middle of the tire, which just needed a plug or patch. This will cost $38. I told them to change the oil, being that I was already there. But do not fix my tire to the cost of $38. I then took it to Good Year, They were friendly and professional. After the above experience I was just waiting for the Free to be $30. They gave me my key, had me sign my " FREE " bill of sale. Now that's called welcome to the Neighborhood. Took my car in for 2 tires and allignment. Picked it up, it was running funny. Made it 5 miles and it broke down. Towed it back. Charged me 200 to "fix" it and now its even worse. Dishonest! I took my car there because I needed a tire plugged. They said it would take 2 hours. Then they called and said they could not plug it and I needed a new tire. I left there and went to another tire place where they plugged it no problem. I called back to tell them and they said they didn't plug tires. I told them they should have told me this when I dropped it off. They were just trying to sell me a tire I didn't need. Also when I picked my car up the passenger seat was lying completely down and the AC was on full blast. I believe one of their employees took a nap in my car. Very unprofessional! Took My truck in for brakes knowing it was more than just a simply pad swap and having the rotors turned. Left my truck there with no real estimate except for a basic brake service of $179. Was called 3 hours later and told its going to be roughly $960 when i asked for a break down of parts and labor their demeanor changed. The rotors they used are from napa and cost $49 (part # 4886821) a piece however i was charged $113a piece. Charged $120 to change pads resurface new rotors ?. $99 to repack bearing which need to be removed to change the rotors which i was also charged for. And tried to charge me an additional $50 to clean a brake slide that has to be removed to do the pads and rotors anyways. All in all its an eye opener Im new to the area and i guess this is my welcome. the only reason i went here was i was in a pinch, it was sunday and hard to find a place open. Ended up not getting everything done and paying $542 for replacing 2 rotors pads and repacking wheel bearings keep in mind its a older truck nothing fancy. read more

Went to the Goodyear Service Center in Cornelius, NC for tires and the sale / service agent took me over to the tire display to select a tire. I chose a tire out of the line up based partly on price and on the projected ware estimates; I felt that I was getting a pretty solid deal. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I received the invoice and found that my tires cost $40.00 more each. I went back to the tire display with the sales person and showed him the price written in large lettering on a tag hanging on the tire. It was then that he told me; "that's actually not the price rather it was where the pricing started from. He then flipped over the tag and told me that I would have to reference my tire size and find the price that corresponds to the size. This was very deceptive, an example of bad business practices and I should have been told this upfront when I was making my selection. I experienced a similar situation with this company a few years back and I vowed never to go back. I decided to try them again and I regret that decision. read more
