Extremely satisfied with service provided by Al's Auto. Hard to find professional, quality and fair pricing Auto repair shops these days. Highly recommend Al's for maintaining your auto. read more

Al, thanks for taking great care of our cars throughout the years. First Trina's minivans and then my Mustang. We can't thank you enough for the kind, tough love, no BS service that you offer. I'm finally getting rid of the quarter million mile Mustang but, I gotta bring the new one to the best shop around. See you soon. read more

Been there a couple times now. Quick and fair. Highly recommended. Good people and better than dealerships.

Amazing! 110%!! I'm looking for a local garage to service my 2012 in place of the dealer. I found great reviews for Al's and thought I would check them out. I had a broken wiper from the recent snow storm plus a list of items from the dealer. OMG! The manager took 1 look at my broken wiper and said I can take care of that plus look at your list from the dealer. Great! He had the part available and put it on and charged me ZERO! I was thrilled as it was closing time on a Friday and Al's took care of me. I look forward to taking my car there from now on. I've been so disappointed in the dealership quality along with their prices. A+++++++ read more

As always, EVERYTHING went well!! The VERY BEST auto repair shop ever. Al's unwavering honesty and dedication to his customers is unparalleled. He and his employees have saved my wife & me literally thousands of $$$ in proper diagnostic protocols that our local Ram and Lexus dealers could or would not. Those dealers are either inept OR morally corrupt in their behaviors. TY Al and Co for ALWAYS having our best interests in mind. Godspeed & Blessings forward! read more

Al is the best. Super honest and always dies quality work. He will never recommend something you don't need.

Al is very honest and trustworthy, based upon my experiences. We recently brought our car home from a service and it was making a noise. I took it back to Al and he was more concerned about it than I was! Needless to say, he made things right and went out of his way to express to me he wanted to do the right thing, no matter the cost on his end. I'm very thrilled that we made the switch to Al's last year and would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

The work is always performed well and the results are always great Prices are fair and much better than the dealerships Plus you know the work is done by certified mechanics read more

We've used Al's twice now for my husband's 2015 Lexus GS. The first time, they replaced his front brakes, and the second time, they did his 80,000 mile oil change and system check. The brake repair was tricky because my husband couldn't find his wheel lock. Luckily, someone working in the shop had a similar lock, and was able to use theirs to unlock the wheel. We asked them to replace the locked lug with a regular lug to avoid that issue in the future. We felt they went above and beyond for us on this service. For the 80,000 mile service, they only needed to do an oil change, as all other systems were ok. Their prices are very reasonable, and they won't do any service that is unnecessary. It's a bummer that they could not replace the brakes on my 2018 BMW X3 M40, since they told me they didn't service BMWs. We'll definitely keep returning for my husband's Lexus, however! read more

I just found my new best friend!!! Dropped off my 2012 Civic for a 2nd opinion after I was told by another shop in the area that there were some issues with my tie rods and suspension control arm and a small issue with my vvt solenoid having a little seepage around the gasket. I called Al this morning and he was able to fit me in right away. He got back to me a while later and explained everything and said that the items I had listed looked fine and recommended that nothing be done right now and we would keep an eye on things going forward. He totally put me at ease as car repairs can be a little stressful and expensive. I will be taking my Honda to only Al's from now on for anything and everything. I cannot recommend his shop highly enough. I wish there were more than 5 stars I could give!! read more

Went to Al's after doing some research on most recommended places. They addressed the issue timely and professionally..and definitely cost less than the dealership read more

Over over over priced! I needed some work done and was shocked by the amount they wanted to charge me. So I went elsewhere and got the same work done for a fraction of their prices! Very disappointing! read more

Very kind and honest people. Fair prices & fast, quality work. They got my jeep in tip-top shape before my cross country move. 100% recommend for anyone in the Lake Norman area read more

Really good vibes just from calling. Spoke with rich on the phone and he was kind, knowledgeable and helpful about a pre purchase vehicle inspection. Will definitely come here for any help I need. Rate to see customer service like this in 2021. read more

Stopped in without an appointment for a tail light replacement, and Al himself immediately addressed me saying he could fit in my request before an upcoming appointment was due into the shop. I stopped at five other places along the way before arriving here, and all the other places were rude and clearly didn't want my business. I appreciated Al respecting my minor repair request, especially in such a timely manner and for a fair price. Excellent customer service. Thank you! read more

Just completed another visit to Al's Auto Repair with my 2021 GMC Sierra A4, this time for a NC inspection. The inspection was completed quickly and the entire team was friendly as usual. I recommend Al's for any vehicle servicing you may have. If there's something they cannot do (which is very little) they will tell you and also recommend where to go to get the issue resolved. read more

We have been bringing our vehicles to Al's for several years. He is prompt in getting information to us, and takes great care of our vehicles. Very trustworthy shop! read more

Had Al fix our new truck a few months ago and just got around to writing a review. Al & his team are nice and they know what they are doing and genuinely want to help you. They are not ones to rip you off like some other mechanics around here. For all of our maintenance needs moving forward we will be going to Al's. read more

Al is a great guy. Trustworthy and reliable. He will not bs or honeydick you. There is a reason he stays busy and has so many repeat costumers. read more

I took in my Jeep today for the annual registration inspection, and despite being a bit late for my appointment, the gentleman working the front desk got me taken care of quickly and professionally. Also, I understand that Al is a great owner and gives his staff the weekends off to be with their families. Anyone who takes care of their workers like that gets to the top of my list as far as getting my business. read more

I am not into having the latest and greatest of cars. In fact, I love my 2007 CLC (Cute Little Car) with only 77,000 miles. I discovered one day that it was taking a lot of energy to turn the steering wheel. Being a Sassy Senior or Queenager as the role requires, it was actually taking all my energy just to turn that steering wheel. I have a friend named Al. That friend told me about Al's. So, I rolled to Al's Auto Repair. I was told that my Honda CRV needed to spend a day or two, as it needed a power steering pump. I was given the call to come and get little CLC. SHE'S WORKING AND ROLLING!! Now, let me tell you about the people. They are THE BEST! I could have easily been taking advantage because of my age. I wasn't born yesterday and have learned a few things over my years. And I can tell honest and good souls by spending a little time. I can't single one person, as all the employees made me feel like family. I am a very wordy person. I could keep typing and raving about Al's Auto Repair. I am going to stop and hope you read all my words. And if anything happens to your Cute Little Car, I would recommend Al's Auto Repair. read more

Al's car repair fixed my car in short amount of time. Friendly staff, reasonable rates. I would highly recommend this place!!!!!

Al's Auto Repair is so much better than the local dealerships. They give an honest estimate without trying to upsell you on services you don't need. They get the parts and do the repairs in the time promised. Highly recommended! read more

Honest people and Al was offering economic solutions to fix my car instead of trying to charge me more. I will be back

Can't be beat for convenience. They have after hours drop off and pickup. I was able to get my car looked at without having to take any time off work. They were knowledgeable and straightforward. Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and took the time to understand my situation. I will definitely come back here for any repairs I need in the future read more

My van was leaking gas when I filled the tank, so I needed them to troubleshoot the filler assembly, fuel line and gas tank to find the leak and repair it. They did nothing but claim to have disassembled and reassembled it for almost $100. The guy even argued with me over the phone that the tipm had nothing to do with providing power to the fuel pump. When I arrived at the shop, the guy there admitted that he didn't even know what a tipm is. It is the Totally Integrated Power Module fuse box under the hood on Dodge vehicles, which provides power through the fuse box to almost everything on a Dodge vehicle. Ignorant, argumentative, dishonest and incompetent - everything that I don't want in people with whom I am doing business. Negative 5 stars read more

What an exceptional experience!!! Al's quickly performed needed services for my vehicle, with superior follow up, care, and professionalism. read more

Seamless! I went to Al's on a Friday to ask about my engine light/inspection and get an oil change. He put me on his calendar to drop off the following Friday. I dropped off at 7:30am. By 10:30 I was emailed a quote and received a call within seconds to discuss the quote. So everything went great and I left the conversation with much understanding and was even told I was taking great care of my 2017 122K mile car. The engine light was fixed, oil was changed and I just have to wait a week or two to get my car inspected. (Ensure light does not come back on). Al and Mark were amazing, very friendly and super knowledgeable. He saw my USMC tag on my car and asked if I was military. Gave me the discount without my asking! When I went to pick up my car- I was given a coin that said "Thank you for your Service". I will post a pic later. Very nice, thoughtful and made my heart happy. To sum it up- they did a great job and made me feel at ease by doing just what they do everyday! read more

I had a very good experience with Al's Auto Repair. We had to get the timing belt replaced on our Honda Odyssey and Al ended up being $200+ less than the dealership. I received four other quotes and he was the cheapest. The best quality is the transparency, honesty, and personability. Al was pleasant to talk to on the phone and in person, and he earned my trust that we would not be overcharged for the work. When I have several hundred dollars worth of work on a vehicle, I want to see what is replaced. When I picked the van up, a member of Al's staff showed me the old parts and demonstrated why they were worn and needed to be replaced. I cant say that I look forward to spending money on future auto repairs, but I can say that I have a reliable mechanic in the neighborhood. read more

An actual trustworthy mechanic. The man schedules everything, so you don't have to sit and wait all day, and the job is done right. Only complaint is that I don't live up that way anymore, but sure still make the drive when needed. read more

I've been having Al's do the service on our cars since moving to Cornelius 6yrs ago. Friendly, always deliver great service, fair price, complete the job as promised, and stand by their work if there's a problem later on. Can't get any better than that. Thanks Al! read more

My daughter is at school at Davidson and we needed a piece of mind check up on her older college-car. Al understood what we needed, helped us out w reasonable suggestions and repairs. I was very pleased and HIGHLY recommend this place as your car repair garage. Thanks. Very much. read more

I always get the best auto care here! They give great, and honest advice for the best options for your vehicle. Highly recommend.

Amazing service! I went in for an oil change that was done in less than an hour and they even put on my license plate for me! Support this small business during the pandemic! read more

Al was great to work with for my AC repair and to fix a turn signal problem. He immediately called me to discuss the problems once he knew what they were and clearly discussed my options and the pricing. He also completed the work in less time than he originally advised, which was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend Al for any auto service work you may have. read more

I never leave reviews, but for Al, I had to!! He's the best mechanic I've ever met. He didn't waste my time, and told me exactly what needed to be done. He's very punctual and communicates very well with his customers!! I found Al's shop online while reading reviews one day and looking for a new mechanic in the area. His service is top notch! I had a problem with my car that no other mechanic could seem to figure out, but he figured it out and fixed it FAST!! Thanks Al!! read more

Called to make an appt for oil change, Al was honest enough to say he didn't work on many 2006 BMW's, and might not have the scanner to reset the indicator on my Z4 - how many mechanics would be that upfront? Directed me to another shop in Huntersville - very impressed with Al's professionalism. I'll def take the older Nissan there when she needs something. read more

Al is amazing!! I was told by a local oil change place that my serpentine belt needed to be changed and that my back brakes were "almost gone". I called a few chain stores before I found Al's number. Immediately, I could tell he wasn't like the other mechanics out there. He had a genuine concern for my well being and the safety of my car. Not only did he find out that the back brakes weren't "gone", but that they had 5,000 more miles to go!! Any one else would have just taken my money and ran out the door, but not Al!! He gave us excellent advice on our car!!! He is a fair and very honest man...something I didn't think really existed anymore! We have found our mechanic for sure!!!!!!! read more
