They are super understaffed and will not fix anything quickly. Just go anywhere else! I personally will never go here again to get my car serviced. I came to get brakes replaced and an oil change. Here's how it went. 1. The cost My brakes ended up being $1,300 which I felt was a bit high for two axels. Plus if I hadn't denied it, they would've charged me $150 to change two air filters (cabin and engine) that both cost $20 at any auto parts store, and can be easily changed at home. 2. The service They're pretty understaffed. I visited on a Friday and they had to hold my car over the weekend. When I got my car back on Monday, the engine sounded odd, I also noticed an oddly high RPM. And my car struggled to drive up hills. They gave me a sticker for the wrong oil grade, which was a red flag. All of the signs I noticed were signs of a mistake during the oil change. I went back in and told them about how my engine was running poorly and they told me they'd take a look. I got a call from the front desk who told me they'd determined that my engine was acting strange but that they had done nothing during the oil change. They quoted me a $650 procedure to fix the issue. I turned it down since it was out of my budget and when I got my car back it was running just fine. Like nothing happened. After a week of driving it daily with issues. Even driving it TO the mechanic that morning with issues. Suddenly fixed when they told me there was no issue. Either the front desk was trying to upcharge me for no reason, or their technician noticed their first mistake and fixed it without telling them, because they said they didn't change a thing and now it runs fine. Seems like they didn't want to admit fault and refund my oil change. That interaction was sketchy - I didn't appreciate them trying to sell me a $650 solve that wasn't the root of the issue.

Last repair was A/C - I knew it was a diverter (known) issue and they fixed it quickly and at a very fair price. They have loyal customers who are ALL colors and both sexes. I've met MANY of them while sitting in the waiting room and chatting. Not sure what the intentions of the person writing that review were, but lying to hurt a business for some reason is unethical. Do better.

The third vehicle inspected had tinted front door windows that don't meet North Carolina standards. They gave me the option of taking the vehicle back and removing the tint and then bringing back, or failing the inspection, which would have costed me $30. I took the vehicle back and removed the tinting film and called Lakepoint back up and they got it in immediately for the inspection. As my ride was picking me up, I saw one of their employees get in my Jeep and drive it around the parking lot--not into a bay, just joyriding with a big smile on his face. I didn't think much of it at the time, assuming they were about to start the work. Fast forward to 7:00 PM, and I still hadn't heard anything. I check the app--no updates. I call the shop--they're CLOSED. No call, no email, no message. Nothing. Concerned, I got a ride back to the shop to check on my vehicle. My Jeep--which has no doors or roof and a brand-new sound system--was parked outside, completely exposed, with rain in the forecast. To make things worse, no work had been done. So I have to ask: Why was that kid driving my Jeep around the parking lot? What exactly were they doing with my vehicle for nearly 4 hours? And why on earth wasn't I notified they were keeping it overnight? I'm having the Jeep towed home tonight at my own expense and will be addressing this with management first thing in the morning. I'm also filing a report with the BBB. Check the other recent reviews here and on Google--this isn't an isolated incident. This place is a mess. After an hour and a half of me just sitting and no manager providing feedback on my vehicle, my car was still sitting high on the car lift. I stood up to get answers but the phone was ringing and all the guys were in the garage. One of my car tires was just laying there by itself. No one was inside so I walked out to check for myself what was going on. I asked one of the mechanics that was standing there on his phone, if he knew what was going on with my car. He told me it should be ready in 30 min or so. I didn't leave until 10:00am. The manager tried to tell me that the studs on my wheels should be replaced every 3-4 times after I rotate the tires. That is NOT true! They should not be replaced that often and are supposed to last the life of the car UNLESS, there is corrosion, damage, snapped or cross thread, have a tightening issue or wobbling or a vibration. I always do my research. Also, when I went outside and saw the guys standing around not working, I asked one of the mechanics why is no one working on my car? He told me, they damaged my stud and had to order another one. He said it should be here in 30 minutes. No one came to tell me at all. I was just sitting there and what should have been a simple tire rotation lasted 2 and a half hours!!! I will not return here again. I have video and pics of no work being performed on my car. The courteous thing would have been to simply tell me what happened so I would have known. Honest mistake. Not try to cover it up then charge me for something YOU did. After I told him what I was told by HIS employee, he lied and said he would do ME a favor and not charge me THIS TIME. How about not charge me??!! I bought my tires from firestone. I'm entitled to free rotation because they're under warranty and if YOU break the stud sir, YOU are responsible for replacing it. NOT ME! Ethics out there window! One vehicle had no coolant, and the other had fuel in the oil. These issues occurred immediately after your technicians worked on the vehicles. The timing raises serious concerns about the quality and completeness of the service performed. Based on this experience, I have lost confidence in your service and will not be returning.
