Did a fantastic job with a vintage car that needed some TLC. Price was fair and quick too!

Most of the shops in the 518 don't give a rat's butt about the customer. This business has an owner…read morethat wants the customer to get what they want not what the business wants. This is what makes a good shop. I started doing business with Jesse about 5 years ago. Now after a couple of installs on my Cars (Mercedes Benzs') and my partners and friends cars, he never stops giving the best advice and work in the area. His knowledge his top of the class. You dont have to own a Mercedes to get a quality install, he treats all his customers with the exact same respect and understanding. His product mix is chosen by him and not the companies that bang on everyone else's doors. He only deals with companies that support the equipment that he features. The best part of his business mantra is if you need it installed it doesn't matter if you bought it from him or not. You will get the same attention to detail. He doesn't just shove it out the door, he takes time and tunes it for the best quality. One of the best part about his shop is he does custom work, wheels, kits, starters , alarms and video what ever you need to make your ride yours. I have been in the sound business almost my entire life. My father and his partner designed the O.G. sound system for SPAC, The Rafters, Sneaky Pete's and even Studio 54. I personally was the first IASCA Head Judge in upstate New York back in the early 90's. I know my stuff and so does Jesse. I have dealt with a lot of the Businesses that are still around and have gone by the waist side, this is my first choice and it should be yours.

We still had hundreds of miles to go, what else can you do on a motorcycle ride other than drive and listen to music?? Stopped by the local Harley dealership and they quickly referred me to this place and once I arrived I see why. Upon arriving and letting the technician know my issue fully expecting them to say they were swamped and wouldn't be able to look at my bike they instead said no problem let's take a look! The guys were incredibly knowledgeable about what we wanted (something extra loud of course) and hooked me up right then and there! If this were in Indianapolis we would have had to wait for weeks just to get an appointment to LOOK at the speakers! We are incredibly thankful that they recognized that this was a need and got us taken care of! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! You may hear us coming down the road soon!

When scheduling the…read moreappointment over the phone I was told that I would be able to drop off and pick up the same day. Upon dropping the vehicle off and confirming that I would be able to pick the vehicle up later that day I was told "Yeah, that's not going to happen." Therefore I had to leave my vehicle over night. I went to pick up my vehicle the following morning and immediately discovered numerous imperfections (large bubbles, debris trapped under tint, sunlight gaps where the tint wasn't cut properly, etc.). I asked to speak with someone in regard to the imperfections and the associate that tinted the vehicle looked over the vehicle with me. He immediately acknowledged the imperfections and advised me that he would get me in to replace the tint that needed to be replaced, thus needing to make a second appointment. I made the second appointment but soon came to the realization that I could not bring my vehicle back and except it to be done correctly. I contacted the shop and requested a refund at which time I was told the would not issue a refund without removing the tint. I kept my second appointment scheduled, they remove the tint, and issued the refund. I then went to a new tint shop where a pre-tint inspection occurred. During said inspection, it was discovered that when Capital Tint and Graphics removed the tint that they installed, they peeled my rear window defroster off of my rear glass, thus damaging the entire rear glass. I again contacted them and advised them of the discovery at which time I was told to obtain quotes to have the rear glass replaced. I obtained a quote from my local Tesla Service Center ($1,100) and Safelite ($800). I advised Capital Tint of the quotes and my desire to use my local Tesla Service Center and was immediately met with confrontation. I was advised they would write me a check for $850 and nothing more. Furthermore, I was advised that if I didn't take the check for $850, they would take their chances of me taking them to small claims court. I ultimately decided to cut my losses and took the check for $850. I cannot in good faith recommend this business to anyone. This experience demonstrated their utter incompetence and unprofessionalism. Stay far away from this business.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR TINT!! I have had tint installed by a few different people over the years and…read morethis is by far the worst job I have ever seen! I had all 5 windows plus my sun roof done and it looked like garbage from day one. They said I had to wait two weeks for the water to bake out from behind the tint and if there was still an issue they would fix it under their warranty. After 2 weeks every single piece of glass had 15-40+ specs all throughout the tint. A few places even had some bigger bubbles in them. I went back to have them fix it and they looked at the car and showed them that every piece had issues and needed to be redone. They agreed to fix it so I made an appointment and was told they needed the car for 6 hours to peel and reinstall. I went and picked my car back up only to see that it looked just as bad as before and they did not redo the tint. I asked what they did and was told they just redid the two front windows which were actually the two with the least amount of imperfections other than the huge gap at the top of the driver's window. Also while doing a shit job at fixing the tint they managed to kill the battery in my car as well. After having the car for 6 hours and not fixed any of the issues I had to stand around for 20 min for someone to even acknowledge I was there to pick up the car. Today I was able to roll down the driver's window that they claimed they peeled and reinstalled. They either A. Lied to me and didn't do anything to the existing tint but make it have larger bubbles in it than when I dropped it off. Or B. They installed the tint incorrectly a second time in the exact same way they did the first time. The driver's window has almost a 1/2" gap at the top of the window just the same way it did when I dropped it off to be fixed. These guys will just lie to you, waste your time and leave you with a shit product.

    Ziebart - Bumper Before

Ziebart - Albany, NY were supposed to replace defective paint protective film (PPF), applied to…read morefront bumper that was peeling and lifting. The replacement was authorized and approved by Ziebart corporate. After replacement and before I left Ziebart's lot, I inspected their PPF replacement job. I noticed in the lower right corner of the front bumper, what looked like shapes of geometric fragments, some with vertical and horizontal lines. These were actual PPF fragments that were underneath the new PPF that was applied. The PPF could be actually be seen and felt rising over the top of the fragments underneath. I took pictures. I've included pictures and descriptions below. I pointed this out to the General Manager. He told me that those were "stone chips" that had "penetrated" the PPF. Again, I pointed out to him, showing that the new PPF actually RISES OVER the fragments. His statement was not only ridiculous, it was preposterous. In addition to physically seeing and feeling the raised areas, "stone chip" damage: 1) does not manifest in precise horizontal lines, vertical lines and geometric shapes and then in a small, localized specific area. 2) would create a wider impact and a random pattern. After arguing with him, he said he would fix it and told me TO MY FACE that he needed two estimates from TWO body shops. Not only did I get two estimates from the body shops, I also went to a reputable PPF and detailing shop. They confirmed my findings in a written statement from their technician. Additionally, I had a licensed auto insurance adjuster and body repair estimator look at Ziebart's "handiwork". He also provided a notarized statement attesting to the same findings, essentially there were left over PPF fragments that were covered over with new PPF and that there was no "stone chip" damage. The conclusion is during the removal of the old PPF, the Ziebart workers pulled some of the clearcoat off in that area. They put the fragments back and put new PPF over the top to cover it up. To repair the damage they caused, requires a complete sanding and repaint of the color base and clearcoat, as stated in the body shop estimate. The least of repair estimates was $1,200. I had the PPF removed by a reputable (not Ziebart) dealer, I again took pictures. It showed the the geometric areas and lines I mentioned. There was no stone damage. Again, in addition to that facts, if stones could have penetrated the PPF, they would also have created a wider and random damage pattern, not actual shapes with exact horizontal and vertical lines. Additionally, if stones could penetrate the PPF, then it is a waste of $900 for a defective product. The general manager later refused to honor the estimates provided to him and pay for the incompetence and negligence of his employees. Instead, he sent me an email stating the damage was due to stone chips. In his letter he contradicted himself. I could go on about flaws and contradictions in his statements, but I will just mention this. If he wasn't going to take responsibility, then why did he insist that I obtain two repair estimates from two separate body shops? I contacted Ziebart Corporate and spoke with the "Senior Customer Service and Training Administrator", also sending her all the complete documentation, which also included pictures. Her email response was that there was nothing she could do, as each franchise is individually run. I then filed a complaint with the NY State Attorney General's office. They tried to reach Ziebart's Albany, NY location but told me they did not get any response. What does that say about Ziebart? What do they have to hide? Bottom line, avoid this business and their unscrupulous tactics. The other auto detailing place also pointed out many flaws in Ziebart's application of the PPF, which I didn't know about and that I also documented. I've heard of other complaints from other people, but never really thought much about it, perhaps a random event. Now I know. With that said, find a reputable company that will 100% stand by their work. The old saying is right, Caveat Emptor!
