If I were able to give this place 10 stars I absolutely would! During a motorcycle ride our speakers blew. We still had hundreds of miles to go, what else can you do on a motorcycle ride other than drive and listen to music?? Stopped by the local Harley dealership and they quickly referred me to this place and once I arrived I see why. Upon arriving and letting the technician know my issue fully expecting them to say they were swamped and wouldn't be able to look at my bike they instead said no problem let's take a look! The guys were incredibly knowledgeable about what we wanted (something extra loud of course) and hooked me up right then and there! If this were in Indianapolis we would have had to wait for weeks just to get an appointment to LOOK at the speakers! Most of the shops in the 518 don't give a rat's butt about the customer. This business has an owner that wants the customer to get what they want not what the business wants. This is what makes a good shop. I started doing business with Jesse about 5 years ago. Now after a couple of installs on my Cars (Mercedes Benzs') and my partners and friends cars, he never stops giving the best advice and work in the area. His knowledge his top of the class. You dont have to own a Mercedes to get a quality install, he treats all his customers with the exact same respect and understanding. His product mix is chosen by him and not the companies that bang on everyone else's doors. He only deals with companies that support the equipment that he features. The best part of his business mantra is if you need it installed it doesn't matter if you bought it from him or not. You will get the same attention to detail. He doesn't just shove it out the door, he takes time and tunes it for the best quality. One of the best part about his shop is he does custom work, wheels, kits, starters , alarms and video what ever you need to make your ride yours. I have been in the sound business almost my entire life. My father and his partner designed the O.G. sound system for SPAC, The Rafters, Sneaky Pete's and even Studio 54. I personally was the first IASCA Head Judge in upstate New York back in the early 90's. I know my stuff and so does Jesse. I have dealt with a lot of the Businesses that are still around and have gone by the waist side, this is my first choice and it should be yours. read more

They installed a backup camera (dash mount) for me. It works really well. I did have to buy my own adhesive to get it to stay out but all in all I'm happy with the job they did. The camera works great! read more

I didn't actually wind up doing business here for various reasons. The shop owner, unsmiling and unmasked at the height of the COVID pandemic, didn't want to mount my light bar on the front of my car for fear that it would obstruct the cameras and radar my car uses for various purposes; rather than actually look at the car and determine whether the light bar could be mounted without obstructing any of these mechanisms, he simply refused to do it. So I looked at the front of the car, determined where the radar and cameras were, and mounted the light bar myself in a way that would obstruct none of them. And then, because wiring it was more complicated than I wanted to get into because of all the stuff under the hood of modern cars, and because I wasn't impressed with my experience at Capital Customs, I took it to Boomer McCloud to have them wire it. Most of them weren't wearing masks either, but by that time the vaccines were available and I'd gotten mine (and who knows - the unmasked workers at Boomer McCloud may have had their shots too), and at least they were friendly and willing to see what the job would entail, unlike the guy at Capital Customs. And they wound up doing an excellent and professional job. So yeah, personally, I'd recommend Boomer McCloud over this place. read more

Good looking shop. I went in here out of convenience and time because my car radio kept skipping. They did a quick glance and said the entire radio needed to be replaced. I declined, took the radio apart myself, and fixed the issue with one soldered wire. I just wish they took a closer look instead of just pushing products onto me. read more

Jesse installed my new car starter today and I love it! I haven't had one in 10 years so it was well overdue. I chose Capital Customs because of a Groupon offer and now that I have used them I will be back Groupon or not! Jesse was able to get me in first thing in the morning. I dropped off at 8:50am (10 mins before they officially opened) and Jesse called me at 9:59am to tell me it was ready since I had left it with him to run errands with my husband. When I picked up he explained exactly how it worked and offered to come out to the car with me to make sure I was good. Recently had 4 speakers replaced on my bike. There is not one single thing I'm happy about the job. First, the saddlebag speakers are so much bigger than the stock speakers, I can no longer put a helmet or saddlebag luggage in them. Admittedly, not Jesse's fault, but I wish I knew about that issue beforehand. Second, the new amp totally interferes with the radio reception rendering the radio useless unless I mount an exterior antenna on my tour pack, which then means I can never take the tour pack off. Third, the overall sound is worse than when the stock speakers were in it. There is absolutely no bass anymore and no adjustment. I cannot go back to the original speakers, because they needed to modify the bags to accommodate the bigger speakers. In the end, nobody there seemed to care what I thought and it was $2500 wasted. I will never go back there, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone else. read more
