They did a good job on the floor mats, but the rest of the vehicle was underwhelming. The interior and exterior just didn't look like they had received the level of attention I expected. There were still areas that looked untouched, and overall the car didn't have that "freshly cleaned" appearance. I've definitely received better results for less money at other car washes. If you're coming here, I'd recommend sticking with the basic exterior wash. In my experience, paying extra for the interior cleaning and other add-ons just wasn't worth the cost. This version is firm but measured, which tends to come across as more trustworthy in reviews.

If the service isn't provided at each carwash then I feel my bill should be adjusted or at least the attendants should say so prior to my wash. I definitely feel cheated. I did contact customer service prior to me cancelling , they told me that I was probably seeing what the person behind me was getting on the screen. I was well aware of that possibility but to be 100% sure I kept going for another month and change and even had times I was the only one in line and still the same, PAY ATTENTION, I'm sure I can't be the only one. Instead of turning me back and telling me to contact the main office, the gentleman took care of me and let me get my car washed since I did have the bar code and was in the system. They didn't need to do that. When I called the main office, I left a message for Robin who seems to handle customer accounts and I'm sure myriad other tasks. I didn't know their hours and called right at closing time. i left a message explaining my issue and asked them to call me when they could next week. To my surprise, I got a call from Robin after their closing time. She wanted to make sure I was taken care of ASAP. They are a small business with old school values which include putting the customer first. seems like that should be obvious, but companies like Colonial Car wash are no longer the norm, but the exception. Money is tight right now like it is with most of us. However, even if Colonial Car wash didn't give me the best deal, I would still stay with them if the price was within reason. This is all due to the way they go the extra mile. Having been a captain in the Army, I can't help but notice little details about everything. Colonial must have a great training program and they also must be very proactive in ensuring quality control throughout the entire chain of command. I am not going to bad mouth any of their competition, but Colonial would have to raise their prices so that they were noticeably more expensive before I would even consider going somewhere else. I believe Robin said they have been in business for over 40 years so they run a smooth operation like a big business, but with a small business mentality and personal touch. Businesses like this are a dying breed, but it's great to discover a new one that is still old school.

They originally charged my card $12, so I thought they would adjust after and the amount would decrease. This was not the case!! The final charge was $22.60 for under 10 minutes of spraying water in the freezing cold. What a rip off!! I'm not cheap, that is crazy expensive and the math from hard money to card payment isn't aligned.

The cheaper car wash price is not worth getting your car damaged.

The customer relations phone number listed does not work, and there is no reliable way to speak with a real person. When I attempted to cancel my membership, the website required both a phone number and membership number to process the request -- yet neither of those actually works in their system. This makes canceling effectively impossible. On top of that, the wash has been closed multiple times throughout the winter. Despite paying for a membership, I often could not even use the service because the facility was not open. Between the lack of customer support, a broken cancellation system, and frequent closures, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. A business that offers recurring memberships should at minimum provide a functional way to contact support and cancel service.

The interior clean was satisfactory but took longer than in the past. Is it challenging to get workers or is the company unwilling to hire more? Probably the former. The exterior clean is not as good here in CP as it is at the Hoffman on Troy Schenectady Road since it is a newer location. Also, the course and length of wash time are longer on Troy-Sch Road.

Couldn't even step out of my car without my shoe almost getting submerged. The soap brush was extremely messy, and there was soap all over the wall. Not to mention the hose that sprays water is very stiff to swing around your car. (The metal bar that's attached to the ceiling.) The change dispenser only gives you Dollar Quarters. It's $2 for 2 minutes, and the next step up is $5 for 8 minutes. No happy medium for me. I tried 2 minutes and had to do another 2 minutes because I barely made it around my car. Not returning.
