Hoffman completely rebuilt the old Raindancer car wash into a state of the art new facility which…read moreopened in late 2025. Unfortunately, they no longer have the self service bays, but now offer free vacuums which is a big plus. When they opened the new facility, they were giving away free car washes for a couple of days and had some special on their Unlimited Car Wash Plan which included additional free car washes after the plan expired. I signed up for the plan, the attendant put a bar code on my windshield and I used the car wash during the winter. Overall, the car wash did an excellent job when first opened. And when first opened a lot of colored lights would begin flashing as the vehicle passed through the various stages of the wash. The final time I used the car wash fewer lights were flashing and for the first time an attendant used a hose to spray down the front of my car. It's uncertain whether the car wash was now providing all the features included in the paid for plan. There are two lanes vehicles use which scan plan bar codes which then merge into one lane while making a sharp left hand turn to enter the wash. Twice I almost got into an accident because a vehicle couldn't make the turn and had to backup as the lanes merged causing a near miss. The exit from the car wash is tricky and causes confusion. There is a yellow light and a small sign which states to wait for the green light. The yellow light may be on or off and green light seems to go on at random times. While waiting for the green light the vehicle may not be moving forward because the plastic track which propels the vehicle is now only on the rear wheels and can begin to slip. Many times I had to drive away and not wait for the green light. Finally, the vacuums work well.

Haven't tried the actual car wash yet but very happy with the self service vacuum. Note they only…read moreaccept quarters in these machines but for $2 in quarters you get a generous allotment of time to vacuum and the vacuum is quite powerful. Totally took care of the random stones and sand in my front seats. They have mat clips and a trash can too which is appreciated. I'll probably return for a car wash later.

Hoffman's hosted another nonperishable food drive at its car washes over the weekend. With the…read moregovernment shutdown and the threat of the SNAP ( food stamps) program coming to a halt for November, the need for food donations has taken on a greater sense of urgency. Hoffman's has annual food drives but I've never paid much attention before. This time, I showed up. I brought canned goods and got a car wash in return for free. It's a nice event. A win-win for all involved.

The casing of my driver side mirror broke off in the automatic car wash tunnel. For whatever…read morereason this particular location's automatic car wash process always seems to push against the drivers side mirror of my car... which is simply a crossover SUV... causing it to fold inwards towards the body of the door. The last time I was there, not only did the mirror fold inwards, but the high-pressure air dryer blew off the outer plastic casing of the mirror, which in turn cracked when it hit the concrete floor. It seems simple that if an automatic carwash breaks something on your car, one would expect the company to take liability, or somehow make it right, especially when it is something that is part of the body of the car. Instead, an on site supervisor decided to tell me that he "thinks" because the casing had a hand written number inside of it...that it must have come from a junk yard?! (which apparently means they would not be covering it) I really hate when people make statements without evidence or facts... The mirror case completely matches the new one that I just had to order from that dealership... I also know that in the time that I have had this vehicle, I have never had a problem with the driver side mirror, nor have I received any parts from a junkyard, since I don't even know where they exist in this area... And for the 12,000 miles that I did not have the vehicle, (it was certified pre-owned) there was certainly no evidence of damage or accident on the Carfax report since all of the service was done in one location. Of course upon hearing that the vehicle was a preowned vehicle, the manager seemed to double down on inferring ( without much evidence) that it's not an original part. Don't we just love the death of customer service these days?!? When you don't want to take liability for something that went wrong, blatantly and without facts, accuse the customer of having a non-original part and tell them they are wrong...ugh! It is my strong recommendation not to support this business... from rude customer service...to inattentive teenage pre-washers, to the lack of drainage and horrible condition of the pavement across 9&20 that causes your car to get dirty again as soon as you drive out of the place, the difficulty of getting in and out due to traffic, or the fact that this car wash tunnel doesn't seem to be as well-aligned as other ones from the same company, causing one mirror to fold in, but not the other?!? Again, this, does not happen in other locations of the same company Let's hope more car wash options become available in this county...because this one seriously needs improvement

They originally charged my card $12, so I thought they would adjust after and the amount would decrease. This was not the case!! The final charge was $22.60 for under 10 minutes of spraying water in the freezing cold. What a rip off!! I'm not cheap, that is crazy expensive and the math from hard money to card payment isn't aligned.

This review is just for the self-serve bays…read more I'm old school; I'm happy washing my car in a pay-as you-go bay where I'm in control of how much time I need and how much soap and rinse I want to use. I'm glad Colonial has a couple of these bays, but using them isn't quite as customer friendly as I had hoped, especially as a first time user. These bays do not have bill readers. They take credit cards, but you don't exactly get to select how much time you want. Instead, the screen will show increasing time/cost, and you have to remember to QUICKLY press the stop button when you think you've got enough... meaning I need to know in advance how much time and money? They're probably hoping you err on the side of caution and overpay. They also take coins, but only quarters and $1 coins. When was the last time you had $1 coins on you? (NOTE: You can probably get $1 coins and quarters at a coin dispenser on site.) I had a bunch of quarters all set though. It's 25 cents per 15 seconds, minimum of 8 quarters/$2.00. But you either need to have your hand on that spray nozzle or have a 2nd person handy, because as soon as you start adding coins, the countdown begins, which means I lost about 10 seconds getting quarters #2 through #8 in. There's also a time lag between when you switch from soap to rinse, which means you may want to switch to rinse maybe 10-15 seconds before you actually want the soap to stop. Having the ability to put all the coins in and then press "START" would be handy, like some other self-serve car washes I've used in the past. I did get my car clean, and I'll have a better idea how to handle this on future visits. It wasn't a bad experience, just not as good as similar service I've had elsewhere.
