There were still areas that looked untouched, and overall the car didn't have that "freshly cleaned" appearance. I've definitely received better results for less money at other car washes. If you're coming here, I'd recommend sticking with the basic exterior wash. In my experience, paying extra for the interior cleaning and other add-ons just wasn't worth the cost. If the service isn't provided at each carwash then I feel my bill should be adjusted or at least the attendants should say so prior to my wash. I definitely feel cheated. I did contact customer service prior to me cancelling , they told me that I was probably seeing what the person behind me was getting on the screen. I was well aware of that possibility but to be 100% sure I kept going for another month and change and even had times I was the only one in line and still the same, PAY ATTENTION, I'm sure I can't be the only one. This review is just for the self-serve bays…read more I'm old school; I'm happy washing my car in a pay-as you-go bay where I'm in control of how much time I need and how much soap and rinse I want to use. I'm glad Colonial has a couple of these bays, but using them isn't quite as customer friendly as I had hoped, especially as a first time user. These bays do not have bill readers. They take credit cards, but you don't exactly get to select how much time you want. Instead, the screen will show increasing time/cost, and you have to remember to QUICKLY press the stop button when you think you've got enough... meaning I need to know in advance how much time and money? They're probably hoping you err on the side of caution and overpay. They also take coins, but only quarters and $1 coins. When was the last time you had $1 coins on you? (NOTE: You can probably get $1 coins and quarters at a coin dispenser on site.) I had a bunch of quarters all set though. It's 25 cents per 15 seconds, minimum of 8 quarters/$2.00. But you either need to have your hand on that spray nozzle or have a 2nd person handy, because as soon as you start adding coins, the countdown begins, which means I lost about 10 seconds getting quarters #2 through #8 in. There's also a time lag between when you switch from soap to rinse, which means you may want to switch to rinse maybe 10-15 seconds before you actually want the soap to stop. Having the ability to put all the coins in and then press "START" would be handy, like some other self-serve car washes I've used in the past. I did get my car clean, and I'll have a better idea how to handle this on future visits. It wasn't a bad experience, just not as good as similar service I've had elsewhere.

The customer relations phone number listed does not work, and there is no reliable way to speak with a real person. When I attempted to cancel my membership, the website required both a phone number and membership number to process the request -- yet neither of those actually works in their system. This makes canceling effectively impossible. On top of that, the wash has been closed multiple times throughout the winter. Despite paying for a membership, I often could not even use the service because the facility was not open. Between the lack of customer support, a broken cancellation system, and frequent closures, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. A business that offers recurring memberships should at minimum provide a functional way to contact support and cancel service.

They have outside vacuums, self-service bays, and three automated touch-free bays. Charges are $8 for basic, $10 for the 'deluxe' and $12 for the 'you don't really need that' wash. Downers are to get undercarriage washing (really the main reason you need to wash the car during salt/snow season) you have to get the $10 or $12, and like a lot of automated car washes, they're now charging extra for credit card customers now that they can, under the ruse of 'charging state sales tax' (which they have to pay on cash orders, too) but it's really because they are now allowed to chargeback customers for the credit card fees they pay but they're not honest enough to say that. For that I give them a little stink eye. That said, I thought the car wash wasn't that great. The undercarriage was not very long or with a lot of pressure, and the automated touch free system left gunk on my windows I had to spritz off afterwards, and the automated dryer was very tepid and underpowered. For the same prices I've had better automated car washes so probably won't be back unless it's a matter of convenience (as it was today).

I went to the Adirondack car wash to use the self service dog wash area. When I walked in, it was…read morerelatively clean and so that was a plus. You are able to use your bank/credit card, which is how I paid for my dog wash, so, with one swipe it charges you $10 for 10 minutes. I brought my own dog shampoo therefor I cannot tell you what their shampoo is like, or whether or not I like it because I used my own. I have a chocolate lab so he was relatively easy to walk up the ramp and into the tub. There is a tether so that my dog couldn't escape while I was bathing him. The water initially was kind of cold so I was concerned about that, but it did warm up nicely after about a minute. I was able to give my chocolate lab a mediocre bath but I went over my 10 minutes, the equipment will allow you to go to 15 minutes and charge you $15 before it shuts off automatically. I guess this is a good thing in case you forgot to turn it off, you won't get charged for anything over 15 minutes. So I had to swipe my credit card a second time so that I could finish rinsing the soap out of his hair and begin to dry him with their air dryer. They do have an air dryer with a relatively long hose, but the velocity that comes out of the air dryer is at a very, very low setting. So if you have a dog with an undercoat like a Labrador retriever as I do, 15 minutes will not even get close to drying his fur. I was charged for 2- 15 minute intervals at $15 each time and came home with a pretty wet dog. I think next time I will drive the extra 20 minutes and go try a different facility and hopefully can come home with a relatively dry dog. I'd be happier with spending $30 and using my own shampoo if at least he was clean and dry.

The interior clean was satisfactory but took longer than in the past. Is it challenging to get workers or is the company unwilling to hire more? Probably the former. The exterior clean is not as good here in CP as it is at the Hoffman on Troy Schenectady Road since it is a newer location. Also, the course and length of wash time are longer on Troy-Sch Road.

Just told us our total and that was all. No customer service at all. I have unlimited washes and paid extra for interior cleaning. Well the interior was barely wiped down. My dash was still all dusty. My counsel had marks all over it. I think they cleaned with a dry rag and eyes closed. Very disappointed to say the least and I had someplace to be after.
