They did a good job on the floor mats, but the rest of the vehicle was underwhelming. The interior and exterior just didn't look like they had received the level of attention I expected. There were still areas that looked untouched, and overall the car didn't have that "freshly cleaned" appearance. I've definitely received better results for less money at other car washes. If you're coming here, I'd recommend sticking with the basic exterior wash. In my experience, paying extra for the interior cleaning and other add-ons just wasn't worth the cost. This version is firm but measured, which tends to come across as more trustworthy in reviews.

If the service isn't provided at each carwash then I feel my bill should be adjusted or at least the attendants should say so prior to my wash. I definitely feel cheated. I did contact customer service prior to me cancelling , they told me that I was probably seeing what the person behind me was getting on the screen. I was well aware of that possibility but to be 100% sure I kept going for another month and change and even had times I was the only one in line and still the same, PAY ATTENTION, I'm sure I can't be the only one. This review is just for the self-serve bays…read more I'm old school; I'm happy washing my car in a pay-as you-go bay where I'm in control of how much time I need and how much soap and rinse I want to use. I'm glad Colonial has a couple of these bays, but using them isn't quite as customer friendly as I had hoped, especially as a first time user. These bays do not have bill readers. They take credit cards, but you don't exactly get to select how much time you want. Instead, the screen will show increasing time/cost, and you have to remember to QUICKLY press the stop button when you think you've got enough... meaning I need to know in advance how much time and money? They're probably hoping you err on the side of caution and overpay. They also take coins, but only quarters and $1 coins. When was the last time you had $1 coins on you? (NOTE: You can probably get $1 coins and quarters at a coin dispenser on site.) I had a bunch of quarters all set though. It's 25 cents per 15 seconds, minimum of 8 quarters/$2.00. But you either need to have your hand on that spray nozzle or have a 2nd person handy, because as soon as you start adding coins, the countdown begins, which means I lost about 10 seconds getting quarters #2 through #8 in. There's also a time lag between when you switch from soap to rinse, which means you may want to switch to rinse maybe 10-15 seconds before you actually want the soap to stop. Having the ability to put all the coins in and then press "START" would be handy, like some other self-serve car washes I've used in the past. I did get my car clean, and I'll have a better idea how to handle this on future visits. It wasn't a bad experience, just not as good as similar service I've had elsewhere.

The cheaper car wash price is not worth getting your car damaged.

The customer relations phone number listed does not work, and there is no reliable way to speak with a real person. When I attempted to cancel my membership, the website required both a phone number and membership number to process the request -- yet neither of those actually works in their system. This makes canceling effectively impossible. On top of that, the wash has been closed multiple times throughout the winter. Despite paying for a membership, I often could not even use the service because the facility was not open. Between the lack of customer support, a broken cancellation system, and frequent closures, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. A business that offers recurring memberships should at minimum provide a functional way to contact support and cancel service.

The interior clean was satisfactory but took longer than in the past. Is it challenging to get workers or is the company unwilling to hire more? Probably the former. The exterior clean is not as good here in CP as it is at the Hoffman on Troy Schenectady Road since it is a newer location. Also, the course and length of wash time are longer on Troy-Sch Road.

Couldn't even step out of my car without my shoe almost getting submerged. The soap brush was extremely messy, and there was soap all over the wall. Not to mention the hose that sprays water is very stiff to swing around your car. (The metal bar that's attached to the ceiling.) The change dispenser only gives you Dollar Quarters. It's $2 for 2 minutes, and the next step up is $5 for 8 minutes. No happy medium for me. I tried 2 minutes and had to do another 2 minutes because I barely made it around my car. Not returning.
