I don't think your Las Vegas people have heard of the term, customer service. Out to my house twice and can't wait 5 mins for me to help get the job done. And apparently messuing isn't in his wheel house either. Guy shows up "this won't fit" you need to cut a 1/4" then proceeds to show 3-4 inches away from where the washer is to be installed. I'm about ready to do it. Have both a 3" Milwaukee cutting tool and a Dremel. Just bought the house don't want to tear apart the hardwood floor of my recently purchased house, because this guy can't wait or give me a proper estimate of the space he needs to get my old dishwasher out. Your guy think I can snap my fingers and make it happen. The entire time standing in front of the washer. How can I make a cut with you standing there? Then, "I'm not paid to wait, you'll have to reschedule." And leaves. He couldn't bring in the new washer? By that time is have been done. It took me 2 mins to cut my floor, 5 mins to remove the washer. And about 10 to move the new into my house. Lazy and disrespectful of my time and the money I've already paid. Highly wouldn't recommend. Gonna bash your company every where I can, make sure to warm anyone that will listen, just the type of people this company employees. Already been to many platforms and now here. Hire people with integrity, and a desire to actually do the job. If I ever see your company as part of the delivery again, I'll decline it. I'm not sure whether Direct Connect Connections is good in California, but in Las Vegas, I have had the worst experience of my life with them as a property management agent. Unfortunately, my tenant has had to experience this nightmare as well. Please think twice before working with them. We ordered a dishwasher from Costco on April 9. Since then, Direct Connect Connections has scheduled at least five appointments, but they only showed up twice. Even when they did show up, they did not call ahead. Instead, they suddenly arrived at the property and said, "Hello, I have been waiting for you for 30 minutes." Here are some of the unprofessional issues we experienced: 1, They never checked the appliance properly before delivery. On April 14, we received the dishwasher, but it was not working correctly. They then said they needed to come back to replace a part. We have been waiting for the process from April to May 2 and we gave up. No more orders from Costco and this DCC. 2,Their communication is extremely inconsistent. Sometimes they only email the appointment time. Sometimes they only text the appointment time. But they never call. 3,They schedule appointments, but then they can call during the delivery window and say, "Sorry, we currently do not have any technicians available due to unforeseen circumstances." Then they cancel the appointment and tell you they can reschedule after two business days. 4,They may also skip, ignore, or lose your appointment completely. You only find out after calling Costco, even when you have a text or email confirmation showing the appointment time. Please see the attached proof. 5,They never apologize and never take responsibility. Somehow, it always becomes the customer's fault -- either you did not call them, or you did not have the perfect timing for their delivery. I had a dishwasher installed on Friday the 26th. Miguel came to install it here in San Diego. He told me that I would need to be up to code and I would need to install a new GFI outlet which I complied with however, when he installed the outlet he installed it in the middle of the wall, where I store all of my cleaning gear that he left on the countertop by the time I noticed he had already left so I called the customer service line. A woman answered and said she'd contact Miguel right away since he just left when she got back on the phone with me, she said that he was not gonna do it that she was Stonewald and Miguel was not going to fix the installation. I then called Miguel myself. He tried to do the same thing to me until I explained I couldn't put anything under my sink. He then agreed to come on Saturday during his route. Miguel did not call me. Miguel did not text me. Miguel failed to even respond to messages. I've already left him on my text message, I find this to be very unprofessional and not worth my money or time. My outlet still needs to be fixed so I can store my things properly in my house.. read more

5 stars for the installers (Valentino and his parter) that came to install our dishwasher that we purchased from Costco. Installation was quick with no issues and service was professional. So why the lower rating? Because I don't want you to be misled by their requirement that a GFCI outlet or new air gap is needed! 1) Communication between their back office (dispatch) and the installers must improve. We had an appointment scheduled between 1-5pm on a Friday afternoon. At 4:15pm I call the office because I haven't heard from the installers yet but was told it was on their docket and not to worry. At 6pm I call the office again and was told the installer got sick and never called in. Wow really? A waste of a Friday afternoon/evening. So they scheduled me first thing the next morning between 8am - 12pm. Installers show up at 7:30am when we weren't ready for them and told me they had my appointment down for 7am-8am. Sigh. 2) This is the real kicker. DCC sends you several emails and text messages before the install date to ensure you MUST have a GFCI outlet installed. I ignored it because when our house was built, a GFCI outlet under/next to the kitchen sink was not a code requirement. So you do NOT need to replace your current outlet with a GFCI outlet since it's grandfathered in. The installers simply don't know the code or don't care and try to sell you on their services. $120 to replace your current outlet with GFCI that costs you less than $20 to buy at Home Depot and 10 minutes to replace using simple tools everyone has. Oh by the way, if your existing outlet under the kitchen sink is being used by the garbage disposal and dishwasher, then it's a split circuit outlet and you can't simply replace it with a GFCI outlet. The installers didn't mention this or didn't know (which is even scarier). Or if they tell you that you need a new Air Gap (why do you need a new one if you already have one installed and is working) and quote you $100 to replace when the part costs less than $15 and takes 10 minutes to replace with a screwdriver. tl;dr - do your research and don't get fooled into paying them to replace your current outlet with a GFCI outlet or into replacing a working air-gap with a new one. Otherwise the actual install of the dishwasher went really well minus their communication issues. read more

The delivery scheduling was horrible. This is at least the third time this company massively mishandled scheduling an appliance delivery from Costco. They make you hold open a 10 hour window & don't narrow it down until the day before. This time they again unilaterally tried changing the date entirely and didn't even have the courtesy to tell me. I had to call Costco at 6:30pm (wasting both your and my time) to find out ... and they still pushed back when I insisted they keep to their word. Oh, and the customer can't reach their scheduling department directly by phone, you can only leave a message (which in this case they never returned, hence my call for help from Costco). Why should I buy an appliance from Costco ever again? I should stress, the delivery men themselves were delightful. read more

I am a California Contractor and I was contacted by Valerie Barnes, Director of Process Excellence at DCC. She told me that one of her installers made an error installing a dishwasher where they damaged the counter top, kitchen sink and the wall. DCC approved my quote on fixing these issues and we moved forward with the job. After the job was completed, I reached out again to let them know that the customer was happy with my service and tried to receive payment. I had to pay for materials out of my own pocket and pay my personal employees but still have not been paid from DCC. It has been over a month and they no longer answer my calls. read more

I had two kids who PROMISED they would stay out of the kitchen while he was working, but of course ended up in there yelling and shooting nerf guns. I had a very disappointing experience with Direct Connect Connections during a dishwasher installation arranged through Costco. The technician replaced an outlet and an air gap vent that were both working fine -- the whole process took about 10 minutes -- and I was charged $250 for it. This felt like an overcharge for something that didn't need replacing in the first place. I do not recommend this company due to their questionable pricing and upselling tactics. I'm also surprised that Costco, a company known for excellent customer service, partners with them. I hope Costco reconsiders working with this installer and finds companies that are more honest and fair with their customers. read more

Technician shows up and DOES NOT BRING THE NEE GARAGE DOOR OPENER. Tells me Costco is supposed to use it delivered which is incorrect, after contacting Costco they said the installer brings the device. Rescheduled next day (Sunday) - same installer calls me back saying the office is closed and can't pick up the new garage door opener. The installer was scheduled from 1-5 PM on a Tuesday. Then his car "broke down". Company rescheduled for Thursday 8 AM-12 PM. Then received a text 6:46 AM Thursday stating the installer ETA was 23 minutes. I raced over to the my new house and the installer was a no show. I called the DCC and they said the installer was "stuck in traffic" because of "an accident". They said the installer would be there in 90 minutes. I waited the 90 minutes and called back. The employee was rude to me, he already told me he was on his way and said the installer would be in there in an additional 90 minutes. I waited 2 1/2 hours and the installer was a no show one hour later than the time allotment. I called DCC then they told me I was scheduled 1-5 PM today. Please see screenshots. I bought a dishwasher from Costco and Direct Connect Connections was sent to deliver and install it. Technician who came was courteous and said I needed a GCFI outlet else he couldn't install my appliance. I was not aware of this previously else I would've made sure to have it. Since I didn't want to reschedule delivery & installation and have to take another day off to get this done, I agreed to pay the additional $180 to have a dual GFCI outlet installed. I paid by credit card and didn't get a receipt until right before the tech left. I didn't notice until a few mins after he left that the invoice stated some other service for the same price and the letterhead showed the receipt was from MM Communications located in Riverside. Not long after, someone from DCC called to inquire how installation went. I stated that they sent me a receipt for the wrong service. They promised to send me the correct receipt that day, but I never received it. It seemed odd that the receipt they sent me was from a different company so I emailed DCC to report what had happened and asked for a receipt. After a week of no responses from them, I called the company's 800 number. The agent said his manager was on break so he'd leave a message for them to email me a receipt. That didn't sound promising so I followed up with an email and threatened to contact Costco to complain about what happened. Miraculously, I received a receipt with the correct service and dollar amount. However, it looked different and it had the current date listed as the transaction date and the time was different. Something about this does not seem right. Why didn't the new receipt have the date and time they initially installed the GFCI? Either they over charged me or they don't want to be liable for work performed. The installation by technician was fine. Complaint is with the suspect process (not notifying clients GFCI outlet is needed beforehand), receipt not being from DCC and for wrong services. Giving 2 stars cuz the tech did his job, but the company itself I'd give 1/2 star for poor communication and suspect activity. For that reason, I advise anyone using them to be careful. read more

DCC via COSTCO scheduled a dishwasher installation for 11/28 then cancelled. They scheduled again for 12/2 then didn't show up due to snow, which is reasonable except their representative told me the dishwasher was... "in Plain City, the installer is almost done there and he'll be heading your way soon." I called back later to learn...the dishwasher had never been picked up from COSTCO and nobody was delivering anything that day. DCC said they would compensate us $100 for our lost time. I doubt I'll ever see that money. ** edit. The check did come in the mail. I was stunned. Still, confrontation with the installer does not move the rating up at all. After 2 failures, DCC would not agree to schedule us for a "first stop" delivery because we were a "free delivery" and they were very busy. So we had a window of 2pm til 7pm 12/4. The driver arrived at 8pm. Then the hustle began. "You need the air thing and your house isn't code..." and the a-la-carte charges started piling up. I told the installer I wasn't going to accept this DCC hustle and told him to leave the dishwasher here and I would install it myself. He said he didn't like my attitude and so he wheeled MY DISHWASHER out of the house. I had to call the police to get him to leave the dishwasher with me. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? The entire realm of furniture, appliance delivery is fraught with problems. If anyone can find a better solution....they will become rich. I bear no ill will to the unfortunate man who had to deal with me that night but I'm tired of "Free Delivery" not being free. They rescheduled on me 4 separate times, all at the last minute for one dishwasher delivery. I ordered my dishwasher at costco and scheduled for the delivery within 48 hours. I also noticed that costco stated the delivery window was a 2 hour window but the times I received from DCC were 4.5 hour windows. The first time they cancelled, it was within the 4 hour delivery window that I got a call that the installer had a family emergency and the soonest they could reschedule was 5 days away. I was bummed but understood and rescheduled. The second time also was within the 4 hour installation window and i got a call that the tech had "car issues". I expressed that this was the second time that I was cancelled on within my delivery window and that I had taken off work for this installation, and to please ensure that the third reschedule was with a tech who was very reliable. They assured me that they would not cancel on me again. Lo and behold two days later for my third installation appointment, I get a call that the tech (different person from last time) also had "car issues" and that they would need to reschedule to the afternoon. I asked to speak with the manager Millie who found another tech who did ultimately show up that day. Since DCC cancelled on me at the last minute repeatedly, I asked that they cover the GFCI outlet installation that they said needed to be done in order to be up to code to install the dishwasher. Millie was helpful and agreed to cover the cost for that. If it hadn't been for her help, I would have given 1 star but I have upped it to 2 stars, which is still generous for my experience. I called out of work for three full days trying to get this installed and it was a significant impact on my life and income. I would not recommend this company and I let costco know about my experience. read more

Bad experience with this company that tries to up-sell you on additional services that are not needed. This company was contracted by Costco to do a dishwasher install that was 'free' as part of the purchase of the dishwasher. I was overseas at the time of the scheduled install and the technicians told my wife that we needed to replace the GFCI on the outlet and also that the supply line angle stop shutoff was frozen. Of course they told my wife that they could perform the work right there and then for a fee, and that if we did not want to correct the problems then they could not install the dishwasher. She told them to hold off on the install and wait until I returned from my trip to verify the 'problems'. I am quite familiar with electrical work, plumbing work and installing my own dishwashers for numerous rental properties that I own. When I returned from my trip I did in fact verify that there was NOTHING wrong with the GFCI on the outlet and the angle stop was NOT frozen. I installed the dishwasher myself without issue. This is a really dishonest practice on the part of this company and now that I read through some of the other reviews I see that they deploy this tactic on many other people too. Costco likely 'squeezes' them on how much they will pay out to do the install, so they have to make their margin elsewhere. read more
