I will never return to this salon!!! Kim, the owner, very unprofessional and the worst experience I have ever had with a fill on my nails. She doesn't listen to what you want including the nail polish. She filed my nails and all uneven and she cut me filing which was painful and toll a week to completely heal yet she thinks she deserved full payment for a fill that took almost 2 hours as during my session she answered phone calls for appointments of others and personal calls. Her focus was not on quality service to me for an overpriced nail fill experience. :(:(:( read more

Stumbled on to this salon in the area and so happy I did. New to Peoria so I had to trust my Yelpers and the Elites for recommendation. In a plaza with plenty of parking, I was able to snag an appointment for SNS dip same day. They take walk ins but with dip manicures I like securing a spot. The salon is very relaxing and clean with reasonable prices. I got Kim and she is phenomenal. Quick, talented and very skilled, she completed my ombre dip in less than an hour despite their peak time. She nailed the technique and ballerina shape I prefer for my nails and just impressed. They really should have better English speakers. It's so difficult to communicate with someone your needs when things are lost in translation and you really want to convey your thoughts, opinions, expectations and your needs. I know that a liberal would accuse me of being racist, but for me, it's true that if you're going to patronize a business here in the United States of America, you should not be made to feel guilty that you don't speak the foreign employees' language. I know it's not easy to learn a second language. I have an EXTREMELY difficult time learning another language,but when I visit another country, I'm expected to at least try and learn to speak that country's language out of respect for that country. It's only in America that we're told to feel ashamed of ourselves if we don't speak Spanish or Mandarin or Vietnamese or any other language other than English. We go out of our way to print every voting form, medical form, company documents in every language possible. We cater to foreigners, but we have no respect for the legal citizens of this country. My visit to this establishment started off on the wrong foot. It eventually improved, but I make a big deal about language barrier because things got pretty heated there for a while no matter how patient and understanding I was. The lady was getting very frustrated because she couldn't speak English to help me and I was trying to explain what I needed and what I was looking for. It all could've been avoided if she had more of a comprehension of English because I did not know her language. Of course, if I did, I certainly would've met her at least half way. In the end, I tried my best to talk to her and calm her down and let her know that I just was looking for a certain color of gel and regular polish. When I couldn't find what I wanted, she offered to look for it. Then she screamed she didn't have time to be looking for the color I wanted. I was about to say, "No problem! I would go to a place that could understand me and would either have time to look for the color I like and wouldn't mind doing it!" But then she brought another set of colors out and it appeared to have additional colors. So I settled on two colors from that booklet. But I, personally, just don't like to have any issues when it's so unnecessary and things like this could've been avoided especially when it's manicure-pedicure related where you should be relaxing and enjoying it. read more

This is the second time I've been here and there's so much I could write but I'm pretty drained after a long day so I'll keep it short as I can. I went in and asked for a simple manicure. No gel no dip just a simple mani. I had no nail polish on or anything that would make this difficult. After I was seated, the tech filed a few nails then got shooed away by an older tech. She finished filing my nails and put my fingers in a bowl with pure acetone for no reason at all, and then gave me my tab so I can pay before the polish. This is ridiculous. I would have never paid her this tip before knowing what I knew now. I gave $45 for a $32 manicure. This should have been less than 30 minutes. $13 tip for that should have been fantastic enough to take her time and make sure it was looking good. Not only did she lay the polish crooked, it was thick and on top of that it was uneven. She then hurried up even faster to put on the top polish which was even thicker and was not clear. It was milky and it had so many bubbles I told her she missed a few sides and that there was so many of my fingernails that were already beginning to look so thick and bubbles that it made ripples in my nails. She then proceeded to keep adding on nail polish. After I couldn't take the bs anymore, I asked her to take all my polish off and again she proceeded to add more thick top coat ... the milky one. I almost cried of frustration because it had already been almost half an hour being in there at this point. She then got flustered and said it's because of the fan and her friend would take over. She tried to brush me off that they looked great. I was left speechless. She left so quickly to do do someone else's pedicure. I was short on time by that point because my ride was waiting in the car outside. The new tech took over. I told her to take it all off. I told her to make it just clear polish because at this point that's all I had time for. She did just that. I left with my nails uneven In the shade of clear pink and my skin around my nails so cracked and dry. Over an hour later and this is the last thing I wanted before I go on my weekend getaway for my birthday. I didn't make a fuss. I didn't ask for a refund. I just want you all to be aware of the kind of talent some technicians think they have compared to understanding what the client wants and completing it. This place rushes you and hires untalented staff that can take your $ so quickly yet want nothing to do with you if they messed up. No refund offered, just a simple I'm sorry from the new tech. read more

booked an appointment online with Heide for a mani/pedi 3 days prior to my arrival. I received an email confirmation, a text asking me to confirm with a yes or no the next day and the day before the appointment, another text reminding me of said appointment. The day of, I arrive and check in on the iPad and it brings up my name with my scheduled appointment. Two minutes later Heide comes up and says "oh you booked online? we dont go by that, and we are full today.". I asked why they even have the online booking system if they don't use it and she says "management decision" Kim is "management" and sat there shaking her head with no apology or even a we will make room for you. Mind you it was 11 am on a Sunday so I'm sure they could've done it. I've been going here for over a year now but that's the last time I'll set foot in there. This week, I experience Dip nail spa for the first time. I've been to a few different nail salons in this one by far exceeded my expectations when I called and made an appointment. They were very nice and accommodated me the same day. I was fortunate enough to get Linda who kept me smiling and laughing With her fun stories and her good nature as she did my pedicure. The environment was clean and well kept and the workers all seemed very friendly and happy after my pedicure was done. Kim did an amazing job with my backfill and gel nails. she took her time and it showed, I love my nails so much and I've already gotten a lot of compliments. It was my first time going to this nail salon, Cindy did my nails and they turned out perfect!! She was efficient and very personable. My 5 star review is purely attributed to Cindy and her work. However... there was a bit of tense energy when I came in. A nail stylist scooted my chair over (without asking or saying anything prior) to squeeze in her client where I was sitting because the nail light at the other station broke - moving me in the middle of 2 nail stations. The client chimed in saying she didn't feel comfortable moving me when I had been waiting. My mother in law who took me to that salon as a treat on her also asked why I was being moved. The nail stylist started to argue with the other employees causing a bit of a scene and ultimately grabbed her things and quit - leaving her client with unfinished nails. I was more so confused but was in good spirits - I had to wait an additional 30 minutes but was glad I got paired with Cindy. I understand the holidays are stressful and it must get overwhelming with walk-ins so I don't put it past her for walking out honestly lol. I am totally sold on having John do my powder nail dip fills - he is the best! Always friendly and accommodating when I visit, but he makes sure of my color choices as well as shape/length. He's pretty meticulous and I never feel "rushed" out of the chair to get in another client, etc. Note: John is very busy and sometimes is a few days out to book w him. I also had Holly do my (gel polish) pedicure and she was friendly and made sure there was solid communication with what I wanted. Pricing is more than reasonable and not too inflated considering the current economic state. With that being said, I try to tip pretty well because of their Beautiful salon (about a year old?) and aesthetically pleasing! It's located in West Valley in Peoria (newer plaza with cool businesses). I live in Far East Valley but when I'm staying at BF's house in Tolleson, I drive 40 min from his house to get nails done. With a nail salon on every corner you'd think a girl could get a decent manicure. So, I thought I'd try this place that opened recently. Upon walking in it looked clean & chic. Only 2 other customers there on a Thursday afternoon and several employees lounging about. I asked for an ombré dip manicure and was quoted $55 which is the average rate on the "upper west side". I had a picture of what I wanted as a reference. The lady who did my nails (the first time) was pleasant but seemed a little unsure of herself. Several other employees kept popping there heads over seemingly giving her advice. After 90 minutes of working on my nails it was obvious a mistake was made. They were clumpy & gooey. Not a big deal, mistakes happen and another nail technician took over. We had to take everything off and start from scratch. The new technician hurriedly redid my nails and both ladies apologized. I assured them it was ok as long as they got fixed. Although, i told her I now needed to cancel a dentist appointment since it was taking so long. She said "I charge you only $30". To which I stated "That seems fair". While I was watching the television she drew some designs on my nails which I did not ask for nor want. They were cute but not my style. Then when I went to pay she charged me $50!!! I said I thought you were going to give me a discount? Her English suddenly got worse and said something about ombré & a design. I told her I didn't even want the design & she said "but it's cute"..... Sigh..... fine. Guess I'm going to be sporting seagulls on my nails for a while. Also, there was product left all over my cuticles & underneath my nails. Nothing like spending 3 hours and $50 at the nail salon only to have to go home and clean them up. read more

Terrible. First, the technician name John was so rude that I immediately requested another person to work on my nails. I went there to have the acrylic fill. He told me I need a new set, but I knew I only needed two nails replaced. So he tried to charge me $10 for two plastic nails, while the whole set of 10 is that price. That really upset me. The owner, Kim took over. She removed my existing nails, when I finally said, ok, just do the whole new set. She did not soak my nails off in an acetone, like it is normally done, but proceeded either edging a plastic extension nail under, which hurt and damaged my natural nails. Look at the picture. When I asked her to stop and soak my nails in acetone, she refused and continued what she was doing, acting rudely all the way. I should have just left but my nails were in a terrible state now and I needed them done before work and meetings tomorrow. She applied acrylic and shaped my nails properly but I know that underneath they are completely ruined. Then she gave me a ruffle ticket for a chance to win one of the fake Louis Vuitton bags they are selling there. I do t know how they can get away with selling these at a retail location. That is a clear violation of the copyright laws! Needless to say, I'll never be back and I cannot recommend this salon. read more
