My nail tech at another nail salon moved to different state so I was in search for a new nail tech. Seen this nail salon after shopping at Costco and decided to give it a try. WORST DECISION EVER! Ended up cutting my nails off after spending the past year caring and growing them. I do not recommend this nail salon. read more

I loved this place!! The customer service was outstanding. My daughter got a mani/pedi and the lady was so friendly making conversation with her. The place looked clean and was not too busy. We brought our baby and they just made a point to accommodate us which is nice. I'll definitely be back. The price is also very reasonable. read more

My wife and I visit this nail spa about every three weeks and both get a pedicure and my wife a manicure. We always make appointments with Dion and Heidi and both are excellent. Very friendly, strike up funny and entertaining conversations. We have reached the point where Heidi charges her portable fan for me each time I come in. We highly recommend this business and if possible ask for Dion or Heidi. You won't regret it. read more

I will never return to this salon!!! Kim, the owner, very unprofessional and the worst experience I have ever had with a fill on my nails. She doesn't listen to what you want including the nail polish. She filed my nails and all uneven and she cut me filing which was painful and toll a week to completely heal yet she thinks she deserved full payment for a fill that took almost 2 hours as during my session she answered phone calls for appointments of others and personal calls. Her focus was not on quality service to me for an overpriced nail fill experience. :(:(:( read more

When a woman gets her manicure and pedicure, she is bound to change plans for the moment, day or maybe weekend. Why not? Who doesn't want to show off her nails after an appointment with Kim? Stumbled on to this salon in the area and so happy I did. New to Peoria so I had to trust my Yelpers and the Elites for recommendation. In a plaza with plenty of parking, I was able to snag an appointment for SNS dip same day. They take walk ins but with dip manicures I like securing a spot. The salon is very relaxing and clean with reasonable prices. I got Kim and she is phenomenal. Quick, talented and very skilled, she completed my ombre dip in less than an hour despite their peak time. She nailed the technique and ballerina shape I prefer for my nails and just impressed. I will be back every time I am in town and highly recommend Kim! Life should consiste of love, happiness, purpose, making money and giving back. You gotta do it with killer nails too! read more

Horrible, unfriendly staff. Awkward vibe and very few customers. Very nasty if you're not getting deluxe pedicure. All of us walked out.

Brought my mom here for pedicure. Very odd vibe and horribly unfriendly! Just greedy, mean staff who speak Vietnamese behind all customers backs! I know enough words and heard what they said about customers. Asked about manicure for mom, $33, NOPE. Nasty people read more

They really should have better English speakers. It's so difficult to communicate with someone your needs when things are lost in translation and you really want to convey your thoughts, opinions, expectations and your needs. I know that a liberal would accuse me of being racist, but for me, it's true that if you're going to patronize a business here in the United States of America, you should not be made to feel guilty that you don't speak the foreign employees' language. I know it's not easy to learn a second language. I have an EXTREMELY difficult time learning another language, but when I visit another country, I'm expected to at least try and learn to speak that country's language out of respect for that country. It's only in America that we're told to feel ashamed of ourselves if we don't speak Spanish or Mandarin or Vietnamese or any other language other than English. We go out of our way to print every voting form, medical form, company documents in every language possible. We cater to foreigners, but we have no respect for the legal citizens of this country. My visit to this establishment started off on the wrong foot. It eventually improved, but I make a big deal about language barrier because things got pretty heated there for a while no matter how patient and understanding I was. The lady was getting very frustrated because she couldn't speak English to help me and I was trying to explain what I needed and what I was looking for. It all could've been avoided if she had more of a comprehension of English because I did not know her language. Of course, if I did, I certainly would've met her at least half way. In the end, I tried my best to talk to her and calm her down and let her know that I just was looking for a certain color of gel and regular polish. When I couldn't find what I wanted, she offered to look for it. Then she screamed she didn't have time to be looking for the color I wanted. I was about to say, "No problem! I would go to a place that could understand me and would either have time to look for the color I like and wouldn't mind doing it!" But then she brought another set of colors out and it appeared to have additional colors. So I settled on two colors from that booklet. But I, personally, just don't like to have any issues when it's so unnecessary and things like this could've been avoided especially when it's manicure-pedicure related where you should be relaxing and enjoying it. read more

The environment was clean and well kept and the workers all seemed very friendly and happy after my pedicure was done. This is the second time I've been here and there's so much I could write but I'm pretty drained after a long day so I'll keep it short as I can. I went in and asked for a simple manicure. No gel no dip just a simple mani. I had no nail polish on or anything that would make this difficult. After I was seated, the tech filed a few nails then got shooed away by an older tech. She finished filing my nails and put my fingers in a bowl with pure acetone for no reason at all, and then gave me my tab so I can pay before the polish. This is ridiculous. I would have never paid her this tip before knowing what I knew now. I gave $45 for a $32 manicure. This should have been less than 30 minutes. $13 tip for that should have been fantastic enough to take her time and make sure it was looking good. Not only did she lay the polish crooked, it was thick and on top of that it was uneven. She then hurried up even faster to put on the top polish which was even thicker and was not clear. It was milky and it had so many bubbles I told her she missed a few sides and that there was so many of my fingernails that were already beginning to look so thick and bubbles that it made ripples in my nails. She then proceeded to keep adding on nail polish. After I couldn't take the bs anymore, I asked her to take all my polish off and again she proceeded to add more thick top coat ... the milky one. I almost cried of frustration because it had already been almost half an hour being in there at this point. She then got flustered and said it's because of the fan and her friend would take over. She tried to brush me off that they looked great. I was left speechless. She left so quickly to do do someone else's pedicure. I was short on time by that point because my ride was waiting in the car outside. The new tech took over. I told her to take it all off. I told her to make it just clear polish because at this point that's all I had time for. She did just that. I left with my nails uneven In the shade of clear pink and my skin around my nails so cracked and dry. Over an hour later and this is the last thing I wanted before I go on my weekend getaway for my birthday. I didn't make a fuss. I didn't ask for a refund. I just want you all to be aware of the kind of talent some technicians think they have compared to understanding what the client wants and completing it. This place rushes you and hires untalented staff that can take your $ so quickly yet want nothing to do with you if they messed up. No refund offered, just a simple I'm sorry from the new tech. read more

booked an appointment online with Heide for a mani/pedi 3 days prior to my arrival. I received an email confirmation, a text asking me to confirm with a yes or no the next day and the day before the appointment, another text reminding me of said appointment. The day of, I arrive and check in on the iPad and it brings up my name with my scheduled appointment. Two minutes later Heide comes up and says "oh you booked online? we dont go by that, and we are full today.". I asked why they even have the online booking system if they don't use it and she says "management decision" Kim is "management" and sat there shaking her head with no apology or even a we will make room for you. Mind you it was 11 am on a Sunday so I'm sure they could've done it. I've been going here for over a year now but that's the last time I'll set foot in there. Rude, and if you don't value your clients then I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. read more

Needed a gel polish change on my toes. Keep in mind this takes maybe 20min total. The lady that was supposed to do them told me to give her 10 minutes as she was busy. I sat down and started waiting, and then the lady proceeded to help two customers who arrived after me. I was waiting for a total of 40 minutes before I decided to get up and leave. They are very rude and unfriendly. I come here because it's close to me but this was my last straw. There are plenty of better options in the area. Save your time and money read more

I am totally sold on having John do my powder nail dip fills - he is the best! Always friendly and accommodating when I visit, but he makes sure of my color choices as well as shape/length. He's pretty meticulous and I never feel "rushed" out of the chair to get in another client, etc. Note: John is very busy and sometimes is a few days out to book w him. I also had Holly do my (gel polish) pedicure and she was friendly and made sure there was solid communication with what I wanted. Pricing is more than reasonable and not too inflated considering the current economic state. With that being said, I try to tip pretty well because of their Beautiful salon (about a year old?) and aesthetically pleasing! It's located in West Valley in Peoria (newer plaza with cool businesses). I live in Far East Valley but when I'm staying at BF's house in Tolleson, I drive 40 min from his house to get nails done. It's worth the drive!! consistent great service. Try them out!! read more

With a nail salon on every corner you'd think a girl could get a decent manicure. So, I thought I'd try this place that opened recently. Upon walking in it looked clean & chic. Only 2 other customers there on a Thursday afternoon and several employees lounging about. I asked for an ombré dip manicure and was quoted $55 which is the average rate on the "upper west side". I had a picture of what I wanted as a reference. The lady who did my nails (the first time) was pleasant but seemed a little unsure of herself. Several other employees kept popping there heads over seemingly giving her advice. After 90 minutes of working on my nails it was obvious a mistake was made. They were clumpy & gooey. Not a big deal, mistakes happen and another nail technician took over. We had to take everything off and start from scratch. The new technician hurriedly redid my nails and both ladies apologized. I assured them it was ok as long as they got fixed. Although, i told her I now needed to cancel a dentist appointment since it was taking so long. She said "I charge you only $30". To which I stated "That seems fair". While I was watching the television she drew some designs on my nails which I did not ask for nor want. They were cute but not my style. Then when I went to pay she charged me $50!!! I said I thought you were going to give me a discount? Her English suddenly got worse and said something about ombré & a design. I told her I didn't even want the design & she said "but it's cute"..... Sigh..... fine. Guess I'm going to be sporting seagulls on my nails for a while. Also, there was product left all over my cuticles & underneath my nails. Nothing like spending 3 hours and $50 at the nail salon only to have to go home and clean them up. read more

It was my first time going to this nail salon, Cindy did my nails and they turned out perfect!! She was efficient and very personable. My 5 star review is purely attributed to Cindy and her work. However... there was a bit of tense energy when I came in. A nail stylist scooted my chair over (without asking or saying anything prior) to squeeze in her client where I was sitting because the nail light at the other station broke - moving me in the middle of 2 nail stations. The client chimed in saying she didn't feel comfortable moving me when I had been waiting. My mother in law who took me to that salon as a treat on her also asked why I was being moved. The nail stylist started to argue with the other employees causing a bit of a scene and ultimately grabbed her things and quit - leaving her client with unfinished nails. I was more so confused but was in good spirits - I had to wait an additional 30 minutes but was glad I got paired with Cindy. I understand the holidays are stressful and it must get overwhelming with walk-ins so I don't put it past her for walking out honestly lol. Just wanted to provide a bit more context to my entire experience so my review isn't misleading. read more

I honestly wanted to love this place and love my experience here. First of all I had an appointment at 5pm and was clear when making my appointment that I needed to have my nails an toes done at the same time because I was on a time restriction. Hence making the appointment. They didn't start my services until 530. So already I was tense because I knew I needed to be out of there by 6:30 latest. The owner informed me that they had five people not show up that day. So I was sympathetic. I got dip on my finger nails for the first time in my life, and just regular polish on my toes. One of my big toes she completely missed part of the toenail, but I didn't notice till I got home. You couldn't tell unless you were close so I decided not to deal with it. I am now on day 2, my nails done Wednesday night. It is Friday morning and 2 of my nails have completely chipped. I am in a wedding out of state this weekend so I am now in a pinch to get my nails fone in a small town. I am beyon irritated. Not to mention I I paid over $90 for my nails. *I called to talk to Lala the owner, Who was the one who actually painted my toenails. She was too busy to talk to me, but had one of her associates talk to me and tell me there was nothing she could do for me. If I was still in town she would've fixed my nails, but because I was out of town she would not offer me a gift certificate to come back a different time. Terrible customer service! Never go here read more

I called to schedule an appointment and asked how much it would cost for the SNS nails. I was told it was $45. First issue- Instead of allowing my nails to soak so the product would come off easily she was impatient and took the cotton and foil wraps off too soon and started using a metal tool to scrape and pop off the former SNS nails. I asked her not to do that and to please allow the nails to soak off. She tried explaining to me that that's not good for my nails and she has many customers who let her do it the other way. Second issue- the color. They do not apply a base coat at this place as I have been used to, and therefore the color does not look the way it does on their samples. Fortunately she let me pick a different color that was not as transparent. I have basic round or oval shaped natural nails. I had her cut back the amount that my nails had grown out and she filed them into shape - which has always been part of the service (no change in shape was requested by me. Again I have very basic shaped nails). She then carelessly applied some kind of product that was for fast drying and it got all over the place - it was sticky and then crusty on my fingers. When it dried she took cuticle clippers and started picking it off the sides of my nails and pulling at my skin. She did nothing about the fact that it was also on other areas of my fingertips. At the end, she told me to go wash my hands - I left my purse on the hook and my phone and headphones in the chair I was sitting in. When I turned around she had moved my phone from my chair and put it on her dirty counter and had another person sitting in the seat where I was at. I asked her if she moved my phone and she said yes. I said "why?, I had just went to wash my hands - you don't need to touch my phone and could have waited a couple minutes." She said nothing other than another lady is sitting there now and offered no apology. This lady had been sitting next to me the entire time so why they had her moving to my chair was odd. Then at the checkout she told me my total was $48. I told her I would be paying $45 because it was the price I was quoted when I called this morning to make anappointment. She said the price is $43 that she was charging me $5 to shape my nails. Again I told her no and that I had called an hour before and was told the price is $45. She said maybe the lady forgot we changed our praises yesterday (as if her "forgetfulness" is now my loss?!?). She proceeded to say that she would call the police if I didn't pay the $48! I stood there appalled and stood my ground and shook my head no and stating that I did not ask for any additional service or new shape on my nails and was not told they charge $5 extra to have my nails filed - as that is normally part of the service! She spoke in another language to the other people working there and eventually said "Fine! $45, now!" I paid and I left with my fingers crusty with residue from the quick dry that she dumped all over my fingers. This did not come off even with a nail brush when I was washing my hands at the end of the service. This place was very unprofessional and not clean. The entire time she did my nails she wore gloves however she had left over residue powder and acetone and other products she used, all over her gloves which then got all over my hands as she held them.  This was such a gross experience! I have been going to Grand nails on 67th Avenue & 101 for the last 4 years for SNS and never have I had service that was like this place on Lake Pleasant. Unfortunately my normal nail salon was closed today so I tried to decided to try this place. If anyone is looking for a great nail place please go to Grand nails and do not consider the Dip Nails on Lake Pleasant. read more

Terrible. First, the technician name John was so rude that I immediately requested another person to work on my nails. I went there to have the acrylic fill. He told me I need a new set, but I knew I only needed two nails replaced. So he tried to charge me $10 for two plastic nails, while the whole set of 10 is that price. That really upset me. The owner, Kim took over. She removed my existing nails, when I finally said, ok, just do the whole new set. She did not soak my nails off in an acetone, like it is normally done, but proceeded either edging a plastic extension nail under, which hurt and damaged my natural nails. Look at the picture. When I asked her to stop and soak my nails in acetone, she refused and continued what she was doing, acting rudely all the way. I should have just left but my nails were in a terrible state now and I needed them done before work and meetings tomorrow. She applied acrylic and shaped my nails properly but I know that underneath they are completely ruined. Then she gave me a ruffle ticket for a chance to win one of the fake Louis Vuitton bags they are selling there. I do t know how they can get away with selling these at a retail location. That is a clear violation of the copyright laws! Needless to say, I'll never be back and I cannot recommend this salon. read more
