We had reservations for 730 we were seated. We did not get service for at least one hour and a half for our food. We waited approximately 45 minutes to get our drinks from the bar. Service was horrible when we finally got our food. It was cold. The whole dining experience was horrible. The only thing that was great about this place is it is a really nice place to eat at but the service and the food was horrible. I will not return. I called in. I made a complaint with the manager as she promised, she would give me a gift card to come back and make it right that never happened so they don't even stand on the word read more

Super cute restaurant, food and drinks were amazing HOWEVER it had to be the worst service I have ever had. We were greeted by friendly hostesses who sat us right away. From then on it went downhill. Took 20 mins for someone to come around and take our drink and appetizer order. It was a female who took that order and she asked if it was a special occasion and we said yes we were here for my birthday. We waited and waited and then another male server came and asked us for our drink orders to which we replied that we had previously ordered our drinks. He took our order again and also asked if it was a special occasion and he told us that I would get a delicious ice cream for my birthday. He brought us our drinks and appetizers, then NEVER came back. We sat at our table at 6:30pm on a Wednesday so it wasn't particularly busy at all. At 7:30pm I asked an employee if they could get our server because no one came to take our dinner order. They said yes and yet again no one ever showed up. So at 7:45pm I got up and told the hostess that we have been sitting for over an hour and no one has taken our order. A little while later a THIRD server came to our table to apologize and said that he would be taking care of us. He got our order and brought our food. While this third server was better compared to the first two, he wasn't particularly attentive considering our experience so far. To end the night, we assumed they would possibly comp one drink or appetizer for the horrible service, however they did not. Nor did they ever bring out the birthday dessert. I was super excited to try this place for my birthday however I ended up being more frustrated than anything. read more

The restaurant was great however I was disappointed when I notice my beans were served on a broken bowl the edge completely chipped off. Then we mentioned to one of the waiters the tortillas were missing he brought us some in napkins, utensils are wrapped in that's why we didn't realize we got them. When we got the bill they had charged us for the tortillas. The Drinks were delicious would recommend the Diosa and Co. We took left overs home they gave us a bag but the containers didn't even fit in it. read more

DIOSA Downey - I forgot the name of the drink but from what our waitress said. This is tge the restaurant' s most popular. It was delicious - New Mexican Cuisine Near Me - Downey, California

Came here for a surprise birthday celebration yesterday and was pretty disappointed with the service. We had multiple waiters but they lacked communicating with each other so we had to place orders a couple of times. Only half of our group got their food order in and the other side of the table finally ordered about 20 minutes after. When the food finally came out, a few of the orders were wrong and we were made to feel like it was our fault. Look over your bill! We had food charged to us that we did not order or had cancelled because it took too long. The food and drinks were really good but the incompetent service took over and distracted from our celebration. read more

Food was mediocre, the service was horrific. We waited about an hour to get our food, and we were given the wrong bill. read more

Food was good and service was excellent! Went for an anniversary and the ambience was nice. Food is a little pricey.

I had really high hopes for this place however the hopes went down very very fast. We had a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. We ordered drinks and they took forever and a day to come out and my drink was the last to come out with an additional 20 minutes for a wait. Then we ordered shots waited another 25 minutes only for us to get 5 shots instead of 6 and waited another 15 minutes for ONE shot. And remember we were celebrating a birthday they didn't even bring my friend her birthday dessert after they asked what we're celebrating. Overall a two out of five. The atmosphere was nice and the drinks were pretty but that's it. read more

Diosa Downey gets ALL of the love from me! My client/friend planned to link up weeks ago for a Friday night dinner and drink session, and I waited until the last minute to pick a restaurant for us to meet up. For some reason, Diosa popped into my head. I went online, made a reservation for 6:30 and let my girlfriend know. Diosa did not disappoint. The ambiance was FABULOUS! The vibe is grown and sexy, with black, white, and gold decor. When we were escorted to our table, the hostess asked where the Birthday girl (me) would be sitting, and presented me with a personalized menu. (SO SWEET!!! I almost shed a tear!) We settled in at our table and ordered our cocktails, I got a Tulum Tulum, and my friend ordered the Rich Bi#€h. They were both super pretty, and delicious! I'll post pics...For appetizer, we got the smoked guacamole, which was brought to the table literally smoking. It was DIVINE! For our entree's, we ordered the same thing, the pollo al pastor. It was so good! One of the managers, Priscilla even came over to our table to introduce herself and check on us. It was a great experience overall all, 10/10 would definitely recommend, and I will be going back. read more

So i came to Diosa last night for the first time! Pros and cons.... Before i go into details about my personal experience I just want to add in that I love the cute little sayings that describe each dish, each drink such a cute, classy touch! Righty, then, Our server seemed like he wanted to rush us out get our food orders in ASAP now i understand everyone wants to go home after a certain time but be mindful we made reservations! for a reason... so on to the appetizers we tried the steak Empanadas to die for absolutely delicious melted in my mouth we also tried the Mexican street corn that was also delicious and buttery with a burst of flavor.... we also tried Mango-Habañero Aguachile knocked my socks off! And to end it off with the corn chowder was delicious before we move onto the main courses And mind you this dish usually comes raw! But the slightly cooked version was even better it's a must try! Okay now on to the fun part the main courses. So my best friend had the surf and turf came out phenomenal! I ordered the Fettucine Del Mar i chose the seafood option over the chicken just a personal preference now let's get into details about this dish presentation was half ass! Lacked flavor was served room temperature he should of warmed it up more! For the price of $130!? I feel like this dish should've had black truffle's mushrooms on it.... Not sure if i would order this dish again! Now onto the fish we never received my fiancé order the Enchiladas Del Mar but the server brought us something else which led everyone to wait to eat together which was inconvenient for everyone because it's rude to eat in front of people who our hungry as well! Long story short my fiancé decided he was not hungry anymore and just had some of my pasta to hold him off they did try to offer the dish but everyone was done eating and ready to wrap things up! The server recommended we order the pasta first because it's time consuming, but my dish came out last in the end so I didn't understand what was the point of us putting in the order pre-had to re- serve late in room temperature! It is also I never received my bread that was allegedly supposed to come with a pasta. I think that the staff and the servers and the cooks in the lead.need a quick training on delivering each dish on a timely matter very disorganized! Now I don't mind paying a pretty penny for a good food. I came down from west L.A. to try this place the concepts, the restaurant Interior beautiful, but I feel like things need to be brushed up in order to keep it successful! In the end, our check came out to $400 that something you, Pam Beverly Hills right so that's what I expect to get when I come in and pay for these type of restaurant is excellent service good quality food and promptness is key. You will see on the check that we had to takeoff the enchiladas Del Mar and due to the fact our server mixed up dishes and brought up a different dish. That was not what we ordered so they had to take both those dishes off . I gave it three stars instead of 4/5 star rating due to mishaps read more

Thought we would give this restaurant a second chance to make things right from our first experience here. Food and service still horrible you're literally begging the staff to help you as if the food was for free. Nothing changed except for the wonderful guy they use to have at the door. He was always so polite, respectful and watchful to ensure that everyone walking in or leaving felt safe and comfortable. I asked one of the staff members and was told they got rid of him. For sure now we won't be coming back here. Can't get the service right or the food and now they get rid of the only person who made them look good. People wake up and go elsewhere. There's no more chances for us going back. We learned our lesson that we should have seen the first time we stepped in. Hopefully that young man went somewhere else that will respect him and his wonderful caring spirit. read more

Great ambiance and very delicious drinks staff was friendly. Do Not Waste your money in this place! Service is awful, the waiter looked so unpleasant to be there, never once did he smile. Took forever to come to our table to check on us. Everyone there looks stuck up, not the type of customer service one would expect from a place with $$$ menu. The food is not good, overpriced, and gave me a stomach reaction the day after. I came here for my birthday, dressed up with my girlfriends really classy but the service was super slow. The place was half empty. They charge so much for underwhelming drinks. It was my birthday which i told them several times, and they waited til i had already asked for the bill to bring me a birthday shot and DIDNT sing me happy birthday. Then i had already had paid and they finally brought out some ice cream as im about to leave. We had waited a long time before they even gave us the bill. Super expensive place but apparently we're paying just to be there. Ambiance was dull. Super bad birthday experience. Food was good tho. read more

It was my first time here and it was amazing. Food, drinks, and service were great. Ambiance was awesome. Felt like I was in an LA restaurant but it was great to be in Downey close to home. Only negative I have to share is that I had reservations through OpenTable and it still took 20min to get seated (odd). I would definitely recommend to dress up if you decide to go for dinner. Also it gets pretty loud because there is a dj. read more

This restaurant has absolutely horrendous service. I do not recommend going here, and I will not be coming back. We had a reservation at 8:45 and we weren't seated until at least 9:20. Around 9:00 we went back to the reception desk and asked the hostess how much longer it would be. She turned to one of the other hostesses who audibly said "10-15 minutes". The hostess then turned to us and said "about 5 minutes", so they blatantly lied to us. Once we were finally seated, it took them probably 15 minutes to come take our order, so we ordered our food and drinks all at once. The music in this place is louder than in a club. You cannot hear the person speaking directly next to you. Less than 10 minutes after ordering, my entree came out. Only mine. We hadn't even received our drinks. After about 30 minutes we stopped a random waiter, because ours had vanished into thin air, and asked about our drinks. He informed us that their bar was "severely backed up" and it might be a while. My boyfriend's entree then came out. Still no drinks, nor food for the other two members in our party. Our drinks finally came about 45 minutes after they ordered them. And the last two entrees about an hour after they were ordered. While eating, they randomly brought out a single taco. We told them we didn't order it and they said it "was fine" and left it with us, so we ate it. After ordering a second round of drinks, it took probably another 45 minutes, and two inquiries about them. The food was decent, but the drinks didn't taste like alcohol at all, despite the fact that they're $20 each. When we received our check, we saw that we had been charged for the taco we hadn't ordered, in addition to a random 3% surcharge. We told them we didn't order the taco and wanted it removed and they said we had eaten it so we'd have to pay for it. We inquired about the 3% surcharge, and without any explanation, they removed it. Seems like they were just trying to get money out of us. Do not come here if you want to speak to anybody else at your table or get served in a reasonable amount of time. read more

First time and last time here. My sister made a reservation here to celebrate our nieces birthday and our as well. While this is a beautiful restaurant our experience was terrible. Let's start with just arriving there. The girls in the front are uninviting and unpleasant. They are rude, dismissive and not friendly. That already sets the mood for the restaurant which I would hate if I was the owner of this restaurant. As we were seated we noticed the glasses on the table were not clean. The chair my sister pulled to sit on had meat grease. When she pulled the table closer to here her hands were sticky with residue left on the table. Also the menus were filthy. We debated on staying....we did. We ordered a bottle of champagne. They took about 25 mins to bring it and when they did there was no presentation and the guy did not know how to open it. Seems like there is a lack of training. The food was okay nothing I would go back for. We ordered the carnitas shareable option and camarones a la diabla. They were at best a 5 out of 10. After drinking the bottle we also ordered a watermelon paleta drink which tasted like pickles so I returned it. We also ordered a rose gold drink. That was okay. Our waitress was nice and brought us a birthday shot. However she only came around 2-3 times. Overall everything was overpriced. Just a mediocre restaurant that wants to charge ridiculous prices. $400 later not worth it. Go spend your money elsewhere. read more
