Diosa is all about the vibe! They got a DJ playing cool music in the background. All the employees are dressed to impress! Food was delicious but very limited. Your table has to agree in eating the same things because the portions are mostly all to share. I think with the drinks you just need to be lucky on who the bartender is because all all the margaritas we ordered were not good. Except for the old fashions, but then again you cant go wrong with those. The bar on this day was running behind because all our drinks were late and at one point we even had to cancel one of them. Over all is an OK Mexican restaurant. read more

Took my mom for dinner and we had an amazing time. Not only was our food delicious, I ordered the cesar salad with steak and my mom ordered the carne asada plate both worth a try! Our server, Matthew was super attentive despite it being pretty busy for Mother's Day. He made sure our water was always refilled and checked up on us frequently. If you are looking for a nice ambiance with great food and great service, I would definitely recommend coming here. read more

DIOSA! Diosa means Goddess in Spanish. There was so much buzz when this restaurant opened. I finally made my way here after 2 months. Despite the quick experience, it merits a review. The ambience is a 10 out of 10. Whoever designed this place, the menu, the food, the drinks, and everything in between deserves an award. It's honestly a feast for the eyes. I sat at the bar and that alone was an experience. The decor was beautiful. The people who worked there were beautiful. Everything was beautiful. The service was impeccable. Despite the establishment being labeled "upscale" , there was no snobbery to accompany it. The people we encountered were so hospitable and polite. They made our experience there enjoyable. The food was good. That I cannot complain about. Granted I only tried two dishes. The drink I had (I mentioned it was a quick visit) was AMAZING. It had me at first sight from its beauty. I watched the bartender prepare it and I was amazed. I kept asking what each step in the process was. I realized the X Fenty was right up my alley and asked for one. I was not disappointed. If I'd had more time I would've had a second one. I guess my only gripe would be the prices. Then again, inflation is everywhere. I honestly can't justify an order of wrapped shrimp for ....:checks menu price: $28. Despite the prices (and I'll take full responsibility for disliking that) , I'd definitely want to visit Diosa again. I'm so glad Downey had a nice venue like this to dine at. I hope they thrive and stay here. read more

If you're craving chicken mole, go to fiesta martin or an authentic spot that makes it because this taste like a jar mole. Service is great, water cup always filled. Passionfruit drink is tasty and sweet but not super sweet how I usually get my drinks so it's refreshing. I need some suggestions on meals to try because as of now it's overhyped to me read more

The food was amazingly delicious and the presentation along with the name of alcohol beverages were spectacular and very chic & cute and definitely quench worthy ladies;). The front desk hostess along with the server was super sweet and definitely worth the moment of my experience at Diosa. I believe ladies know the assignment when the girlies gather to have a good time and enjoy themselves because so many of the lady staff members stopped to ask to step in and help take our photos of our rememberable night. Thank you Diosa so much for making this my friend birthday a special night to remember. read more

Priscilla was an amazing server! Knowledgeable, engaging and proactive. Made our experience wonderful

Great addition to the Downey upscale dining scene. This has been a regular hangout spot for me and my peeps ever since it opened last January. I usually sit with Mike at the bar. He takes of my cocktails, food, special requests etc. He makes a truly exceptional Raspberry Lemon Drop Martini when I visit. Much appreciated. Robert is good too. He got promoted to be a manager now. Good for him!!! Wagyu - Must get. Santorini - Must get. Diosa & Co - Must get. Street Corn - Must get. Fettuccine Del Mar - Superb. Food is on the pricier side for Downey. You are paying for the variety in their menu and the ambiance! Interior decor is well planned and it transports you out of Downey the minute you step into the place. Great for date nights, romantic evenings, and just in general. I recommend. read more

Waited over an hour to get our food on Mother's Day! Reservation was for 10:30 and we finally got our food by almost 1 PM. They overbooked reservations and could not handle the amount of people they had in the restaurant. Nobody had their food and it was absolute chaos. Greedy owner for allowing this overbooking, never eat here! read more

Christian was an amazing server! Great food, service, and vibes. Will be back for another work lunch soon!

First I will start with the ambiance and decor. DIOSA definitely has that West Hollywood vibe! From the fancy chandeliers to the chic interior, I have to say the owners did a really nice job with the decor. The gorgeous chandeliers hanging in the entryway definitely make a statement! The hostesses were friendly and we were seated immediately which was nice. After being seated, we began to look over the drink menu and with the help of our waitress, we made our selections which we both enjoyed. I definitely recommend the Watermelon Paleta! Once we began to look over the menu, we realized there weren't a lot of options to choose from. For someone like myself who doesn't eat meat, I had asked if they could make their Enchiladas Poblanos without steak and cheese instead. I was told this was not possible, which I found odd. We ended up ordering the Arroz Verde, Poblano Mashed Potatoes, and guacamole. All three items were delicious!! With that being said, I was disappointed with the lack of menu options and the inability to make cheese enchiladas. I am giving three stars for the limited menu options and the extremely overpriced sides. Our bill was over $100 for sides and two drinks! read more

Decor is gorgeous. Came for brunch. Bottomless mimosas for 2 hours was $26. Brunch menu selections looked great. Ordered the steak arrachera and eggs. It was a little salty. Had the churros Foster for 2. They make it tableside. It was delicious, although not $40 worth in my opinion. Our server however was exceptional so it was a great experience overall! read more

You will order an overpriced meal for sure. The food that we ordered just seemed like overpriced tacos. The food came with your typical store bought tortillas. The restaurant is beautiful and our waitress was amazing, but Not somewhere I'd choose to return to myself unless a friend invited me or an event was taking place here. They have girls in glittery dresses going around offering margaritas. The plastic bottles with the labels slapped on them made the small cart look tacky. They do not bring the food at the same time for everyone. By the time one of us was done eating the other plate would finally arrive. The crème brûlée was one of the most unique I've tasted, so for that five stars. read more

What a wonderful gem in Downey! Beautiful decor inside and out. They have all day every day happy hour at the huge bar. We ordered from the happy hour menu and most items were reasonably priced. The Goddess Hour Margarita had a mixture of ingredients and was quite strong. We enjoyed the salsa trio and the different colors, tastes and textures of each. The shrimp taco was my favorite; enough shrimp and plenty of vegetables. While yummy, the lobster quesadilla didn't have enough lobster to match it's $35 price tag. We were served and checked on by three of four bartenders. All were beautiful and friendly. Two managers asked about our experience while dining and on our way out. I will definitely return. read more

Diosa has such a modern and chic interior. It's kept tidy and well-managed. This is one of our go-to spots around Downey, and it never disappoints. The staff are efficient and attentive. For this visit, we tried the Fettuccine Del Mar, Diosa Guacamole, and Mango Habanero Aguachile. Fettuccine del mar: The noodles are cooked perfectly, and the parmesan cheese is fantastic. The noodles and the cheese are mixed in front of you, which is unique. The chicken was fresh and grilled to perfection. Tableside chile flakes and herbs are also served along with garlic bread, which goes well with the pasta. Diosa guacamole: It has such a rich flavor you can taste the freshness of the guacamole in every bite. Mango habanero aguachile: the salsa is perfect and refreshing, and the shrimp pieces are fresh. read more

Evelyn was the best server, so attentive and had great recommendations! Had a great time and we will be coming back

I really wanted to love this restaurant but unfortunately it fell short in so many ways. The positives: - Possibly the most GORGEOUS restaurant I've ever been to. Every detail of the ambiance was just perfect and beautiful. Very classy and elegant. Also, super trendy and cute. It was very beautiful! - The staff was very friendly and welcoming - They have beautiful presentations for drinks and food. The negatives: - I hate to say but they had horrible service. Everything took SO long to come out. And SO long to order, and just SO long for everything. We were there for a total of 3 hours! Dinner should never take 3 hours but they took forever for everything! - They messed up our order many times. Didn't bring out things we ordered, food and drinks. Also messed up our food orders in general - Most of us ordered steaks and requested them to be cooked medium in which they allllll came cooked well done. I could NOT eat my $75 filet mignon well done. It was extremely disappointing. - The drinks were just OKAY. Very mediocre. - Everything was very over priced for the way it tasted and just in general. I think if they made simple tweaks to staff, service, food and drinks I would possibly give this place another shot! But our original visit was less than par, unfortunately. read more

A little late, but still. Went here a little while back, their first Monday open in over a year. Had a great adventure here! Was a little nervous when we arrived to see the interior decor and a few of the menu items. Thought we bit off more than we could chew. Then, Lisa came over. She was a champ! We were able to go through the menu with her, and she really helped ease our minds, especially with a family of 4, and 2 adventurous little ones. The atmosphere felt classy, yet relaxed. The quality of the food was incredible. Lisa (who I kept calling Tina because I'm horrible with names), kept our glasses full, our bellies satisfied with her recommendations, and our faces smiling and laughing all evening. Honestly, we discussed leaving because we felt uncomfortable before she arrived at our table. After talking with her, staying felt like a great choice, and we were very happy we did. It's been over a month and we're still raving about our meal and Lisa's service! Looking forward to coming back to try some more from the menu. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Vintage Fashion - it tastes really good, and has a wonderful presentation (much like everything else they do here)! read more

We came in about 12:15pm on Saturday. Asked for a table for 4. We weren't told there would be a wait, just they would let us know when a table was available. After 20minutes, a party of 6 walked in without a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. We let another 15 minutes pass by and asked about the table. We were told the full party had to be here prior to being seated. This would have been ok, if we were informed of this requirement prior to waiting over 40 minutes for a table. read more
