    Inside the restaurant. Pretty!

Came here for the first time for dinner. The inside of the store is much more sophisticated than it looks from the outside. I was happy that the lady at the restaurant gave me hot tea. She was a very kind. I looked at the menu and everything looked like something I wanted to try. I wanted to eat soup noodles but I didn't know what to order so I asked the waiter. She mentioned to me that beef tendon and shank noodles. The noodle soup was bland, so I added some chili paste but the taste seemed lacking. I ordered yangzhou fried rice, dinding fried noodles, pan-fried pork dumplings (8pc), a golden buns (5pc) and Chinese donuts to take friends place. My friends' impressions were that it was good.

Gem alert. Little non descript restaurant makes dinner amazing flavorful Chinese dishes. Spicy cucumber, large portion, crunchy cucumbers, oh my Tomato beef noodle soup, flavorful tomatoey hearty soup base with plenty of chewy noodles and tender beef chunks Egg wrap shrimp rice. Would have preferred the rice to be hot but it was served at room temperature. Shrimp were small and firm with a nice egg drop sauce. Steamed dumplings, skin was a little mushy for my preference but the filling was fresh and well prepared with a good ratio of meat to other ingredients (vegs). Like a child during xmas, waiting with anticipation to open their presents and was pleasantly surprised with the dishes served, don't judge a book by its cover

Wonton soup, fries, salt pepper chicken, yangzhou fried rice, spring rolls.

The restaurant was clean and very nice inside, quick to get food, everything we got was really good! Very flavorful and good price. Definitely come!

Great ambiance and clean inside. Food was very good! Got the wonton soup, egg rolls, salt and pepper popcorn chicken, Yangzhou fried rice and fries! Very fair prices and good portions.

The food is quite tasty and service is average for Chinese restaurant. They generally don't come checking on you or refill your drink. The two times I was there I had the braised beef noodle soup (B1- $14.95). Even though it was not the same as the Taiwanese style, it was still nice. I liked the peanuts and preserved vegetables in it. I had the dumplings and they were alright. Very homely tasting. I was disappointed to find out I was overcharged on my last visit. Not sure if it was a mistake or intentional. I had the normal braised beef noodle which was $14.95. I was charged $15.95 for the special noodle. I only found out after I left. Lucky I took the receipt and could check. Recommended: Do check your bill before payment. And take pictures of menu so that you can verify the prices too.

I got our order for take out. Staff were friendly and attentive to my needs. WiFi is offered at the restaurant. The food was excellent and generous portions.

We come to Vancouver for 5day. Found this Chinese restaurant. Tested very good. Come twice with in 3 days. House special noodles is my favorite. 很合适我这个香港胃。炒饭那些虾,就小个子一点。味道不错,都不太咸,刚好。

The food was really good I recommend the mapo tofu and the sesame bun. The service was okay but overall the food is the best part here

First time here. Came to try the Dumplings and the Beef Noodle…read more The Dumplings were pretty good but not as impressive as my Chinese neighbour makes them but thats my bias. The Beef Noodle soup was ok but not as flavourful as Red Beef for example. It lacked a bit of kick. The meat was a little too soft for my taste but its very personal. I did see some other very interesting dishes so I will be back to try those and give a better verdict. Service was good and its a very big place despite what it looks like on the outside.

Amazing dumpling spot and very affordable. We brought our family of 5 on a random BC trip night…read more Our kids love Xiao Long Bao (XLB). We ate what would normally be a $100-$125 US meal for under $80 US. It was awesome. We got so much food - it was ridiculous. We ate quite a bit and saved the rest for leftovers. The servers were super nice and sweet. Very family friendly. We found our new go-to spot in Vancouver, B.C. Also, if you give it a little time the parking isn't too bad. Dinasty also stays open a little later than most restaurants in town, making this a viable option when in a pinch for food but running late in the day. Will absolutely go back next time in town. Thanks for having us. Comparable to Dough Zone or Din Tai Fung, somewhere right in between with quality and cost. Everything was yummy.

But the wonderful hostess accommodated us, and I am so glad that she did! I cannot remember everything that we ate, but I know we got pork belly, dumplings, and duck rice cakes. OMG - everything was perfectly and authentically prepared! The wait staff was wonderful and so helpful with ordering and suggestions for eating. What a wonderful experience! We cannot wait to go back to Vancouver and eat at Bao Bei AGAIN!!

They have a selection of snacks and small plates.tapas style and meant for sharing. We ordered a couple of item, they came one by one about 10 minutes apart. The dishes would have tasted so much better if they had came all together. The kitchen couldn't keep up with all the orders. We sat right front of the kitchen where you can see through. The dishes were coming out very slowly. Mautou The short ribs were overcooked and kinda tough to chew. The daikon radish on it was delicious. The plate was sitting for a while so it was not very hot when we got it Dumpling Steamed prawn and scallop dumpling. It was nice and hot. Filling was very good. The wrapper was horrible, it tastes like the cheap super market kind. Sablefish Delicious. Very soft . Didn't feel very Asian . More French style Pea shots Highly recommend by the server. The vegetables was very old and half of it was tough to chew. The tips were edible. It was also sitting for a while before we received it. It was not hot. Barely warm Not very impressed with this place. It's probably the most expensive and worst tasting Chinese food we had. Was not satisfied
