Now that we've been on the Ding Tea train over the Sharetea location, we went back again to try out some new drinks and got the Matcha milk tea and Jasmine green milk tea. The matcha tea was good but they got my order wrong with the sugar level so it was really freaking sweet. There was no one else inside again so I'm not sure how she messed up the order since there was really no hurry. On a side note, we did not get toppings and we got these freaking small, flimsy straws. They literally fell apart while unwrapping the wrapper. For $5 drinks, I expect at least the tea place give you a nice quality cup and don't give you crap straws. We actually ended up going to Chick fil a after and got straws there. Kinda sad read more

Another addition to the ever expanding katy asian centre, Ding Tea is a very cutely adorned tapioca spot with plenty of tables to get some work done and non-distracting surrounding. I love the white walls and minimal adornments and cute hanging chair in the corner. Service was friendly and the area was clean. I ordered the PASSIONFRUIT YOGURT and the OOLONG MILK TEA. The passionfruit yogurt wasn't overly sweet and had a good slushy like consistency, but creamier. I really like the mix of the passionfruit flavor and milk. The oolong milk tea wasn't overly sweet either and the flavor was smooth, but not entirely my favorite oolong flavor. It was milky and did not have that aromatic oolong flavor that I love, definitely more milk than tea flavor. I would come here again. It's really cute and the drinks are good. Overall, 3.5 stars. read more

This Ding Tea location has nice decor. I ordered a large winter melon milk tea with 50% sugar however the drink is extremely sweet and I can't even taste the tea flavor in it. I would not recommend it. read more

The drinks are AMAZING. I got monster boba latte and asked for less sugar. My friend also got Strawberry Yogurt. I read many reviews said that drink was so sweet but for me it's good! It doesn't sweet at all. Everyone worked there was so nice. I love the customer service and the drinks are just mind blowing. I'll give 10/10 I love the decorations, it brings me a coffee shop vibe more than just a take out boba shop. Overall. I'll definitely comeback and recommend it to my friends! read more

My new fave boba place in the Katy Chinatown area~ It lived up to my excitement for this location! I was also surprised it was as good as Ding tea in Garland, TX compared to the ones in Pearland and Bellaire. The interior design gave me a homey feeling and a great place to catch up with your friends/family or have a boba date ;) In my opinion, all of the drinks that I tried so far since the grand opening were AMAZING (10/10)! 1. Monster boba latte - came with black boba and it was fresh and chewy 2. Taro milk tea - did not taste artificial. Love it! 3. Oolong milk tea - It was unique and good. I don't think I am an oolong tea person haha 4. Brown sugar milk tea - YUMMMM 5. Grapefruit green tea, passion fruit green tea, and kumquat lemon iced tea - taste very refreshing and I love them all Thank you for the cute keychain with the "Ding Tea Katy" on it! I've tried quite a few drinks from the menu and I'm not disappointed. I love the vibe in this place too! Seating is cute and open area if you want to stand. The staff is always knowledgeable about the menu and makes great recommendations of new drinks to try. Monster boba is a favorite but their others do not disappoint. I have been to the one in Bellaire but sometimes I want boba without the hassle of driving 45 min (,: I am glad that Katy has opened up a Ding Tea! When I was at the Bellaire location, I tried their brown sugar boba and it was soo good! The boba was still warm, not too sweet, and cooked perfectly. This time in Katy, I wanted some place to study so I chose to come in on a Friday. Not to busy at all and plenty of seating with a ton of outlets. I opted for the Peach Yakult and it was sooo good! You can't change the amount of sweetness or ice but it wasn't too sweet anyways. I thought it was super refreshing especially while it's still hot out. The only thing that I was kinda sad about was that the drink didn't come in a clear cup lol my drink looked like it was a hot drink but that was my only con. I actually love the bobo latte (which is one of their signature drinks) at this location the most. I can taste the brown sugar a bit burnt which it's supposed to be. The store is super clean and the staffs are friendly also. They also have board games for you to play with friends. Will definitely come back! read more

Overall ding tea is great. I ordered their #1 drink since this was my first time here so i went with something I'm used to. I ordered their signature milk boba tea with lychee jelly. DING TEA KATY IS NOT THE SAME OWNER AS DING TEA BELLAIRE!! Coming here was my first boba outing in months with 'Rona going around and all. I was picking up Togo from next door at Tasty Point and thought I'd drop by here as well. The store was completely empty when I walked in. Absolutely no one and nothing except some soft music playing in the back and the two male workers on shift. Made me kinda sad how this place was hit so hard by both covid as well as having the same name as some other racist owner. Both guys in front were super sweet but did look a little bored. I got the kiwi green tea with boba and it was very refreshing and nice to have as a summer drink. I stand by what I said in my earlier review that this place has the perfect drink ratio down! My drink was made super fast and tasty. It was probably a total of 2 minutes from ordering to gulping down little boba balls. Finally got that boba fiend in me satisfied after all these months! This is one of my local small business I love to support!! read more

This is a cute boba shop in a newish plaza in Katy! I've tried both the thai tea with boba and hazelnut milk tea with egg pudding (I get both with reduced sugar and less ice) and recommend both! The employees are friendly and the store has a nice atmosphere; it isn't too loud and has good study spaces and spots for pictures (like one of those egg-shaped hanging chairs). read more

Our go to spot for boba in Katy! Their drinks and boba has been the most consistent thus far. Great trendy seating area to study or take photos as well. The parking can get a little crazy on the weekends as to be expected in all of the plazas at katy asian town. We love their honey boba with brown sugar milk tea! read more

I've been here for the first time.I'm living in California and I'm customer Ding Tea 3 time a weeks for while.I was disappointed with 2 girls in here.I ordered 2 honey green tea-crystal boba and without ice, and 1 lychee yakurt but she said not enough tea for 2 jasmine tea no ice and I'm ok paid for 2 order and charged for 3.The ordered came out wrong and I'm still ok...I did order again 1 more for my daughter's friend lychee Yakut.I did told her wrong but she never listening to me the second time with another girl.I'm traveling a lot and been Dinh Tea' store every where.Never she 2 girl with bad attitude like that.I can pay for another my drink but u guys out the tea but still did 2 cup with different color.My BFF is ur customer all the time and invited me to go ur store and she won't come back again. read more

I am absolutely obsessed with their Hokkaido Oolong milk tea. There is a creaminess after-taste to it that keeps me hooked. It's only a 20-minute drive from my house but I always finish the drink half way home. I also know for a fact that hey use real tea because if I drink this any time after 6 pm, I would not be able to sleep that night. This is the place that I would definitely keep coming back to! read more

TLDR: Great quality boba from the chain, Ding Tea. I would recommend this place if you're in Katy for Boba. Since it's opening, the venue is extremely clean and neat and has a good ambience to it. Along with the milk drink selections, this place is sure to become a popular spot to hang out. Drink: -Regular Milk Tea (5/5). A great test for me to like a drink is just plain ol' milk tea. The flavor is definitely a classic taste and it's not sickenly sweet or bland. There's no sourness taste that some places can have due to using close to expired milk. The boba is top notch quality additionally. It's not too soggy nor overcooked. I am hoping this review holds true as time passes by. I did not revise and review to save time. read more

I am not a milk tea person, however I love taro. Went in there asked if they have taro smoothie, nope, only taro milktea. The owner, Ly offered to make the smoothie version if I wanted, of course I said yes! It's delicious. I also got the Hokkaido milk tea for my friends which is also good. I recommend ‍!!! read more

I really like the Ding Tea Bellaire location, so I hope this location in Katy will also serve good milk tea and I won't have to go all the way to Bellaire. I decided to give Ding Tea Katy a try. I ordered a large Oolong Milk Tea with golden boba and cream cheese, half sugar. Cream cheese doesn't taste like cream cheese, feel like they use heavy whipping cream, whip it, and call it cream cheese. Tea flavor is not there. It's just basically milk and sugar. I got the kumquat tea and my friend got regular jasmine + taro milk tea.Drinks are super good and you can really taste the tea. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. It's hard to find a decent taro milk tea and I have to say hands down they got my business whenever I go to asia town. So far I am loving this place. The drinks here are really refreshing and natural tasting. My favorite drink to get here is there signature milk tea with boba and half sugar which tastes very natural. This has been my go to boba spot at the moment. The place is fairly new and is kept really clean. The people working here are very friendly and I like how they have a reward system. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because I asked for less ice and I received a cup full of ice, which can be seen in the picture. I got taro milk tea 50% sweet, less ice, no toppings. The drink tasted fine and the service was good, but not sure how that could be considered less ice. read more

I approve! A must visit if you are in the area! Super spacious with great atmosphere. I like their passion fruit green tea with aloe vera. Recommend it! My girlfriend loves the signature milk tea and other milk tea flavors. She goes crazy over boba and she said she loves this location. The golden boba is soft and chewy and made perfectly. You can never go wrong with white/crystal boba either. We'll for sure be back next time in Houston/Katy! read more

The drinks here are mediocre. I've tried their milk tea, taro milk tea, winter melon milk tea, and bobo latte. Nothing seems to be super delicious and unique to make me drive here to get drinks. But this is not the only reason why I don't like Ding tea Katy. The guy at the cashier is always kinda mean to me and my friends. We have been here a couple times to try out their drinks and the guy never be friendly to us. Recently we came at around 8:30-ish (the store closes at 9) but the guy seemed to be mean and gave us some attitude. So sad that we always want to give this place another chance but for me that was the last time because I don't want to spend my money to buy some bad attitude. read more

This is a great place to come study or do work on your computer. Some tables have outlets too. The service was good. No complaints. I came here because I heard their matcha is good. Each matcha is $8.5. They claim to use ceremonial grade matcha but under the matcha latte list, there is only one drink labeled CG (ceremonial grade) while others do not. The CG is the basic and they use agave for sweetening. They also don't hand mix per cup. It is pre-batched. I'm not a pre-batch hater although I do prefer each cup to be hand mixed, so I will give it a chance if it tastes good. The CG latte was surprisingly smooth and pretty good! Not bitter at all imo, but it was slightly grainy. They used the perfect amount of agave to balance. It wasn't sweet either. Just perfect balanced flavor for a regular CG matcha latte. The other matcha latte I ordered was the banana. It is SO GOOD! A lot grainier than the CG, though. But I would definitely order that again if I come to Katy. It has a cinnamon flavor in it (probably why it felt grainier than CG) and mixed with the banana flavor was just very yummy. Highly recommend!

Wow so good! Even at 50% the milk tea was not too sweet so I might could have went up to maybe 75% or they do have the option to use a sugar free substitute. So that's a great option only if it's stevia..lol. I can't stand Splenda just gross.. When I visit Katy I will definitely stop by again and try a few other items. Service was quick and friendly! Perhaps the flavor is with the syrup and I had requested half sweet. I wouldn't get it again. -My friend got the banana matcha, and she said it was ok and could do better with the banana flavor and cream. -The self-checkouts can be difficult to get things scan properly. -There seems to be a lot of ads for new items, but it's not on the menu.

I walked out in shock because, what? Out of all the boba spots that I have been to, never has anyone smelled my drink. In fact, I used to work at a boba shop and never has it occurred to me to smell a drink and not remake it for a customer. Like, I don't know what methods you use to confirm ingredients but you couldn't even take the drink to the back to smell it? You did it in front of my face? I don't ever ask for drinks to be remade unless it tastes nothing like I ordered, I just go about and let it be but this genuinely appalled me. I go to Wanpo and I enjoy their Mango Sago drink but this experience has led me to never come back because... are you serious?

We just stopped by for a few minutes and were recommended the honey nut latte as one of their more popular drinks. We got it hot. It was perfect! Not too hot, definitely not cold, great flavor, strong coffee flavor, and not too sweet. There's also a wall of fancy teas that's definitely worth checking out. (See my photo.) Service was also good! Nice, kind employee and the drink came out quickly. Luckily there wasn't a line when I arrived and only 2 other people in the cafe chatting at the time.
