My wife is a vegetarian so she loves the vegan chicken dishes here (not because they taste anything like chicken). I like some of their more traditional Chinese dishes too. Definitely a solid spot to get takeout from.

I would highly recommend this place, I ordered the wor wonton soup, it had an amazing flavor and didn't need anything other than some siracha to spice it up, so yummy. I also got a side of white rice which was super fluffy. The shrimp was the best part of the soup aside from the broth!! The customer service was also really great, I went on my lunch and I really love the vibe in there.

I was looking for a cheat Thursday night meal and found what I was looking for! I was looking for a no-frills, cozy spot with a surprisingly extensive variety of vegan and vegetarian options, Ding How Restaurant did not disappoint. Service is good and the food came out at a timely manner. This small, family-run spot may not be fancy, but what it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for in quality and value. The menu is impressively diverse, with a separate section dedicated entirely to vegetarian and vegan dishes, making it easy to find something that suits your dietary preferences. The food is consistently good. Despite its humble setting, Ding How delivers dishes that are satisfying and comforting. Overall, I think Ding How Restaurant is a great choice for those seeking tasty vegan and vegetarian options in a casual, laid-back environment. It's a go-to spot for a quick, delicious meal with a vegan and carnivore, that won't cost you much but will leave you completely satisfied.

It's good if you are bringing non Chinese friends as it is cheap with nice decor, friendly service, and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time even when they have many take out orders. Also more vegetarian dishes than I expected. Solid food for price, although tends to be too sweet. Has a "take out taste" to it that I'm not sure how to describe. If you are Chinese missing this type of food, I think it is familiar enough to quench your homesickness.

Lunch special is a good deal. They did not have brown rice the day we were there for lunch. They have lots of vegetable options on the menu. They were quite busy at Saturday lunch. The veggies were fresh and cooked well which I appreciated.

The staff were really friendly, and the food was also great. The room was also really nice and clean.

The amount of vegan options are amazing! I recommend getting the combination platter as it comes with soup, a spring roll, rice, and chow mein. The vegan honey walnut shrimp was BUSSIN! One of the best vegan shrimps I have had. The vegan sesame chicken was meh...it was chewy and squishy. Overall good pricing, options, soup and service! Will be coming back!

Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, wor wonton soup. An old friend mentioned how good Ding How was and the first time I purchased food was AMAZING. It still is delicious! The MB is super tender, sauce is amazing, and onions have the perfect crunch & sweetness. The shrimp fried rice has so much flavor it's good by itself as well as the wor wonton soup, the broth is so good. I highly recommend going to Ding How. Total for these family plates was $50 including 1 Dr. Pepper When we walked in there wasn't anyone there and it was super peaceful. The guy who served us was kind and didn't interrupt us excessively.

Okay quality. The waiters keep forgetting the orders and what we ask. Wouldn't come here again. Rather just go to HongKong Cafe instead

Yang Kee in Roseville is a favorite, so we naturally wanted to enjoy the food at the Davis location. The service was close to nonexistent. Once we were seated, and given menus, it's obvious that the offerings at the Roseville location are far more extensive than they are at the Davis location. We decided to order the BBQ pork buns because it's always a go to for us, and we figured we'd peruse the menu while we were enjoying the buns. The buns arrived at the table, and they were immediately visibly noticeably different, but it wasn't until we tried them that we noticed that there's also a huge taste differential. There was very little filling compared to what we're used to. It was mostly bun, more than anything else. When the buns were placed on the table, there was no contact with us/the table to find out how we we're doing, about the food, etc. Very much felt like a churn and burn moment. Based on the lack of Customer Service, and poor food quality, we opted to not waste any more time or money, and we would find another place to dine at. Thankfully, we are closer to the Roseville location and will still continue to enjoy the food there. We definitely will not be back to this location

My friend ordered super nachos and when I tell you they were gigantic and chocked full of meat and toppings, at least 4 people can eat off of those and be full. The chile rellano and cheese enchilada was huge and the serving of beans and rice was very generous as well. The service isn't anything special. You order and pay for your food at the counter and they give you a number. There is plenty of both indoor and outdoor dining. They have a beverage station for your. Agua Fresca's. I loved the quesabirria taco, which came with consommé and my Aggie taco was ok. The Aggie had so much cabbage my friend asked me if there was any fish inside. I assured her there was but it did take me about 4 bites before I found my way to it. Otherwise, everything was tasty! The blue corn tortilla on the Aggie taco was a nice touch since it's one of UC Davis' school colors. The service was great; everyone was friendly and I liked that they cleared away our empty plates often. I also love that they have a complimentary chips and salsa bar. This place is obviously popular- the turnover time was fast and still more people were coming through the door when we left. Thanks and I'm looking forward to returning for brunch!

Yes, parking can be tough when the students come back, but that's how it always is in Davis. The food here is great! I've had several of their savory crepes and I love them all whereas my cousin always gets one of their sweet crepes. This time I tried the "savory crepe" which had shrimp, pesto, Parmesan, bell peppers, and I think mushrooms if I remember correctly. I LOVED it. So delicious! And so much food! It came with a "half salad" which I got to choose, so I chose the Fuji salad, it was huge! It was the size of a regular salad! All of this for $19. I also got the ginger shot mixed in carrot juice which I loved. You order at the counter and then receive a number and choose your own table, then they bring your order to you when you are ready. The place was pretty busy with tables mostly occupied. We were ordering to go and the wait was about 10 minutes or so. We both got the poke bowl and these are the steps. 1. Select a base - Sushi rice, Brown rice or Spring mix salad. 2. Select 2 flavors. There are about 12 options of Ahi, Salmon and Shrimp. It was my first time and I always like to go with their recommendations, which is Furikake Bomb Ahi and Salmon Bomb. Great names because they were bombs! 3. Select Loaded Options aka toppings! I like that you pick a style which includes a set of toppings, instead of selecting the toppings individually. I bet that saves a lot of time. We both got the Delilah's Style which has seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab, wonton chips, edamame, mangoes, massago, furikake and unagi sauce. If you like it spicy, I would get the Tropical Style with spicy mayo. Ahi and Salmon were fresh with mild (but tasty) seasoning that's not too much that you can still taste the fish. I absolutely love the wonton chips. This is not the typical wonton chips. Incredibly crunchy and thicker pieces. The toppings are vibrant, fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Next time I go back I want to try the sushi wrap and musubis. This is a hidden gem in Davis.
