My wife is a vegetarian so she loves the vegan chicken dishes here (not because they taste anything like chicken). I like some of their more traditional Chinese dishes too. Definitely a solid spot to get takeout from.

I would highly recommend this place, I ordered the wor wonton soup, it had an amazing flavor and didn't need anything other than some siracha to spice it up, so yummy. I also got a side of white rice which was super fluffy. The shrimp was the best part of the soup aside from the broth!! The customer service was also really great, I went on my lunch and I really love the vibe in there.

I was looking for a cheat Thursday night meal and found what I was looking for! I was looking for a no-frills, cozy spot with a surprisingly extensive variety of vegan and vegetarian options, Ding How Restaurant did not disappoint. Service is good and the food came out at a timely manner. This small, family-run spot may not be fancy, but what it lacks in ambiance, it more than makes up for in quality and value. The menu is impressively diverse, with a separate section dedicated entirely to vegetarian and vegan dishes, making it easy to find something that suits your dietary preferences. The food is consistently good. Despite its humble setting, Ding How delivers dishes that are satisfying and comforting. Overall, I think Ding How Restaurant is a great choice for those seeking tasty vegan and vegetarian options in a casual, laid-back environment. It's a go-to spot for a quick, delicious meal with a vegan and carnivore, that won't cost you much but will leave you completely satisfied.

It's good if you are bringing non Chinese friends as it is cheap with nice decor, friendly service, and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time even when they have many take out orders. Also more vegetarian dishes than I expected. Solid food for price, although tends to be too sweet. Has a "take out taste" to it that I'm not sure how to describe. If you are Chinese missing this type of food, I think it is familiar enough to quench your homesickness.

Lunch special is a good deal. They did not have brown rice the day we were there for lunch. They have lots of vegetable options on the menu. They were quite busy at Saturday lunch. The veggies were fresh and cooked well which I appreciated.

The staff were really friendly, and the food was also great. The room was also really nice and clean.

The amount of vegan options are amazing! I recommend getting the combination platter as it comes with soup, a spring roll, rice, and chow mein. The vegan honey walnut shrimp was BUSSIN! One of the best vegan shrimps I have had. The vegan sesame chicken was meh...it was chewy and squishy. Overall good pricing, options, soup and service! Will be coming back!

Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, wor wonton soup. An old friend mentioned how good Ding How was and the first time I purchased food was AMAZING. It still is delicious! The MB is super tender, sauce is amazing, and onions have the perfect crunch & sweetness. The shrimp fried rice has so much flavor it's good by itself as well as the wor wonton soup, the broth is so good. I highly recommend going to Ding How. Total for these family plates was $50 including 1 Dr. Pepper When we walked in there wasn't anyone there and it was super peaceful. The guy who served us was kind and didn't interrupt us excessively.

We shared Xiao Long Bao- pork soup dumplings, wonton chili oil and salt and pepper pork. Everything was very good. I especially liked the salt and pepper pork. The pork was moist and not greasy. There was a nice crispy when you took a bite. The soup dumplings were made very well. A lot of soup in the dumplings and the skin was thin and tasted very fresh. Fully of flavor. I thought it was better than a lot of the other soup dumplings I've had before. We had good food and good company. Good times!

I ordered 2 simple items for takeout, which they said would be ready around 8:20pm. On my way over, I received a call from the restaurant that they didn't have the noodle for the noodle dish I ordered, so I gave them the green light to substitute for a different rice noodle. The pickup time was now 8:35. When I arrived, it was bright out, the restaurant was loud, and the waiting area was standing room only. I ended up waiting so long that the sun set, the waiting area emptied, half the dining tables cleared, the NBA game ended, the kitchen closed, and staff started cleaning! The front desk person seemed concerned that my order wasn't ready so she checked on my order a couple times. She assured me the noodles were done and it was only the egg tarts that we were waiting for. (Maybe the hens were still hatching the eggs?!!) Considering I ordered online and even waited before driving over, it was ridiculous to still wait an hour for 2 items. I even watched people come in to get seated, order and eat during my time there. I was about to cancel my order to get a refund -- and forego eating dinner altogether because waiting so long there had made me lose my appetite. It seemed obvious there was a mess up somewhere because it was only my order that was not ready. But then someone brought out my bag. The food was honestly just okay. The egg tarts were a 7/10 and dry chow fun was a 4/10. The experience was a 0/10. I can't recommend it. It could've been a fluke experience but the manager could have handled it better. My order should have been comped for taking ONE HOUR longer than it was supposed to be ready.

Friendly service and plenty of tasty options in downtown Davis!…read more Went here for an early Thursday dinner with my husband. We were excited to try it since it had many great reviews and the pictures made the food look delicious. There's street parking around the restaurant. Inside, you stand in line and say your order once you reach the register. They call your name when your order is ready. They had 6 or 7 tables from what I remember with high chair and regular chair options. You can get a cup of water for free. Utensils are on the tables. Here's what we ordered: * Poke bowl with 2 protein choices $14.25 - Note, you can opt to do a small bowl option with 1 choice of protein. You can add toppings for $1 each or pay for their topping combos. We found this poke bowl to not be the best value since no toppings were included in the price of the bowel. My husband was not a huge fan of the fish and said it did not taste like the poke he used to eat growing up in Hawaii. He said it was lacking Hawaiian salt. * Soft shell crab sushi wrap $16.50 - Huge sushi wrap split in two! This was delicious and had a good amount of soft shell crab in it. It tasted like a handheld sushi roll with soft shell crab. I loved it. I ate half in the restaurant and then reheated the other half at home the next day. I enjoyed this a lot and would order this again! I'm giving 4 stars since I don't think the poke bowl is the best value compared to other poke bowl places I've visited, but I loved the sushi wrap and highly recommend it for a filling meal. I plan to come back sometime and try the sashimi sushi wrap, one of the bowls, or the poke nachos.
