Cole Slaw with Pineapple (must try)
Cesar D.

I love fried chicken and had never had time to try Dinah's in Glendale. I was in town the other week to visit family and finally had a chance to visit Dinah's Chicken. Dinah's has been in business for 59 years. What a great spot, as you walk up you are taken back in time, the decor, menu board and high-quality fried chicken. We were seated quickly even though the dining area is very small, they seem to turn the tables fairly quickly. The menu is simple but with plenty of options, my brother and I ordered the Chicken Dinner, which is served all day, it's a 3 piece of chicken, 2 sides, we chose the pineapple coleslaw and mashed potatoes and gravy. The pineapple coleslaw had a lot of flavors the pineapple gave it a nice refreshing taste, a must try. They also offer a chicken drumstick for one dollar, well worth it, it is nice sized. The chicken skin is nice and crispy, not sure how they fry the chicken, but I really appreciated the fact that the chicken was not greasy, the taste of the chicken was amazing. They have a variety of drink options and pies, I counted 8 different pies or so, some from memory are, Cherry, Banana Cream, Pecan, Chocolate Cream, Lemon, Meringue, Blueberry, they looked amazing, we did not have any space for a slice but next time we might prioritize a slice or two. You can also order food to go; I noticed that they have options under their family style menu from a 6 piece to a gigantic 36 piece (giant barrel O'Chicken) for 108.00 bucks. you can also order large 1/2 gallon to a full gallon of sides. If you enjoy gizzards and chicken liver, this is the place for you. One other point, the parking lot is very small, not kidding, plan ahead.

Ambiance: it's a small restaurant both for dine-in and takeout orders, limited seating inside, the shared paneling lot gets packed easily and there's ample street parking nearby, Service: friendly and fast, the food was served shortly after placing the order Food: classic diner food menu, with emphasis on chicken meals 2 PIECE 'N' WAFFLE - *** 2 PIECES OF CHICKEN, 1 WAFFLE WITH MAPLE SYRUP, choices of one wing and one leg, the waffle was chewy and not crispy, the leg tasted fine, the wing was too dry, and spicy sauces available upon request Price: moderate portions and affordable prices, expect $20+ per person for a quick bite, discount for cash payment

The food at Dinah's is always amazing. There's a reason that they have been a Glendale staple for all these years. The chicken is delicious, and any of the sides as well. You can't make a bad choice. The service is impeccable. And the cozy ambience makes for the perfect setting to enjoy comfort food. Whenever I'm in the Glendale area during lunch, Dinah's is my go to spot!

One of the best fried chicken I've had. I saw they have spicy chicken so I had to try it. Juicy and crispy chicken. Great waffles. Moist and buttery. My son loves the Mac and cheese. I e been meaning to come here. Glad I did. Parking could be a little tricky. I had to park on the street.

Had this delivered on Friday night and still thinking about it! Fried chicken - 4 1/2 stars. Absolutely delicious. Moist and tasty on the inside and crispy on the outside. Mac N Cheese - 4 1/2 stars. Served classic, I loved this!! Mashed potatoes - 4 stars. A classic preparation, solid and delicious! Baked Beans - 4 stars. On the sweeter side but rich in flavor and really good. I was highly impressed with how good this was and will definitely be getting this again. Well done Dinah's!

Trying this restaurant since 1967 with their fried chicken specialty and loving it! I had: 1. Fried chicken combo 2. Pineapple coleslaw - must try item! This coleslaw is not the same with all the coleslaws you've eaten before 3. Corn on the cob 4. Mac and cheese 5. Fried liver and gizzard

This place had been on my radar for ages and I am super glad I finally got to try it. I ordered chicken and waffles, a two piece lunch, and a side of gizzards and livers. The chicken was delicious and perfectly fried. It tasted like if someone's grandma was in the back cooking. The mac and cheese was way better than I expected. The restaurant has an old school diner vibe and the servers were very friendly. They also have jars or delicious apple butter on each table to pair with your food. I can't wait to go back and try the Spicy chicken. If you're on the fence about coming here this is your sign to go!!

First time trying Dinah's and the fried chicken was amazing! Skin was crispy and meat was super juicy. We were all excited to try and eat that I forgot to take pictures lol! The restaurant is pretty small but has cute decors and looks cozy. It has take out orders and indoor dining. Friendly service and really good chicken. Ordered 4 drumsticks to go and the chicken was fresh hot and delicious . The coating was light and crispy and the chicken pieces were large and very tasty. There is a wait for the chicken but every order it is made fresh and not sitting around like other fast food places thats why we waited longer cause first we didn't call. The chicken was hot juicy, super crispy and delicious but not heavily battered unlike other places. They also have shrimp platter , coleslaw, potato salad and even home made pies. This is for walk ins only and not available online - 1$ drum sticks but you have to order 16$ worth of food to get the deal. Wait time: 15-20 mins wait coz we didn't call in first lol Price: a little expensive compared to Popeyes and KFC now Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Service: Good service. Well worth a visit. I wish they have it in the Eastbay. Loved their chicken their gravy, mac and cheese and fries. Definitely worth to check it out.

The best fried chicken and waffle I've ever had! Good food, good environment, and good service!!

Whenever we're craving fried chicken and find ourselves in the Glendale area, this is our go-to spot. The chicken is always spot on super crunchy skin with juicy, tender meat inside. I also love their cranberry stuffing; it's delicious and reminds me of Thanksgiving. Their coleslaw is another favorite. The pineapple pieces make it refreshing and a little different from the usual. I also really enjoy their waffles and will sometimes order them with the chicken instead of the traditional sides. My go-to drink is the pineapple iced tea, which is refreshing and not overly sweet. Recently, I tried their coconut cream pie for dessert and it was amazing--probably the best I've had. The coconut custard is so flavorful and creamy. Customer service has always been consistently good here. I've never had a bad experience, which is why we keep coming back.

Mac & Cheese, very tasty!

Est. 1967- It's been 5 years since my last visit to Dinah's. I came during the Covid shutdowns, so I wasn't able to eat inside, everything was to-go. this time, I dined-in. The service was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the 2 piece with a Breast and a Wing, Mashed Potatoes, and a side of Mac & Cheese. The chicken is juicy and tender, with a really nice season on the crispy batter. Dipping it in the gravy from the mash is the way to go. I asked for additional gravy and that didn't charge me for it. Also, I wanted to see if the Potato Salad was as good as I remembered and it is! They gave me some to try and again, no charge. Very nice! The inside has a very homey feel to it. It's cozy, inviting and relaxing. The food, the service and the vibe, make's Dinah's a great place to visit. The food here is always good to go, but if you have the time, enjoy a meal inside and relax.

Dinah's chicken is my favorite spot to pick up a quick bucket of delicious fried chicken, when the craving hits. They're located in a small shopping center on San Fernando Rd. Adjacent to Vons, and across the street from CA. mattress Stores. You can't miss it, look for the giant bucket of chicken. It's been there for 50 years. Their chicken is crispy, and golden brown on the outside, and very juicy on the inside. They have a special way of frying the chicken that they don't use any

My quest to find another great burger spot led me to a little corner eatery in South Glendale. The…read morebranding here is bright and lively...kind of a mixture of pop art and anime. Inside is clean and spacious. Menu offers mainly smash burgers and chicken items, along with various sides. Prices are decent. Ordered the following: - Double-double wagyu smash up combo - 8.5/10: superb smash burger. Decadent, flavorful, what sets this burger apart is that they use wagyu beef patties and fry them in butter. Lots of it. Every bite is going to be juicy. If there was a comparable, I'd probably say Shake Shack's smash burger. It's about the same size and has the same soft bun. But Cluck's blows it away. Easily. - Fries - 8.5/10: seasoned extremely well, these are extra crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Comes with two dips of their burger sauce and ketchup. By the way, their sauce is excellent. Most burger sauces are too tarty. Theirs are well-balanced with some heat. - Six piece wings - 8/10: dry rubbed. Got these in mild. There are higher levels of heat, of course. These were perfectly fried and damn tasty. This really is good food and this spot should be way more popular than it is. I had lunch here on a Monday and there was hardly anyone there, sadly. I suspect it could he the location as it sits on a corner of a super busy intersection that makes it not easily accessible. And the foot traffic here isn't that great at all. Anyway, a great time was had by all.

Unfortunately the layout of menu in the restaurant was confusing and didn't show everything that is on their website. The cashier had the option for the burger on the register, but it was trying to force the combo as the only option. I only wanted the burger so I ended up just ordering off the website. I was charged an $0.85 Fee on top of taxes when ordering through the website, which was annoying since I just wanted to order there. I'm going with 3 stars and not less because the flavor of the burger was good, and the size was good too, unfortunately the amount of grease was pretty unacceptable. I understand Wagyu is much fattier but my bottom bun was completely soaked and sitting in grease. I would suggest they address these issues, it has deterred me from coming back anytime soon. Also the reason it took me so long to try this place out is because Cluck and Blaze failed because it wasn't good, so naming this shop basically the same thing seems like an odd choice to me.

We both ordered the chicken kabob plate which comes with salad, hummus, pita bread, white rice and chicken chunks. It was flavored nicely and filling as all heck. We also got a couple of falafels. Tasty! I do wish that we were served on actual plates instead of take out containers. Both the in and outdoor seating areas were well maintained. As far as the ambiance goes.... I would like to redesign the room. Nothing major, it just needs to be a little more cozy. I'd start with the lighting. The fixtures are nice, but the light bulbs should be soft amber instead of the bright white they use. The inner dining room area has a lot of space that could be used better. I would line the walls with some dark wood bookcases and fill them with older books to create an aesthetic. I would add a small, vintage couch to the area directly across from their ordering counter and maybe add a side table to create a living room or study type of feeling. Finally, I would fill the room with real plants. All of this could be done for very little money and would improve the sit down experience. Even if they didn't do any of this, we agree that we would eat at Sepan chicken again.

It's not your typical plain rice--it tastes like jasmine rice, and when you combine it with their sauce, mac & cheese, tenders, coleslaw, and pickles, it all just works really well together. The sandwich is also really good. The bread is soft, so it's easy to eat and doesn't feel heavy. I've ordered the Hangry Fix and the Classics 3 both times, tried mild, and medium. I think I'll stick with mild definitely has a kick. Compared to Dave's, I'd say their medium feels closer to a "hot" level. Their sauce is another highlight--way better than Raising Cane's in my opinion, and a bit closer to Dave's style but still its own thing. Price-wise, it's not bad at all, especially compared to Howlin' Ray's. I don't get to have this often since I only go when I'm in Los Angeles, but it's definitely a must every time I'm there.
