This place has gone down the toilet. I remember when it first opened, I was all, YAY L.A. SHOPPING but now this place just sucks. They have the attitude and pricing of Macy's but the staff, management and product of a .99 Cent Store. I have nothing against the 99 Cent Store, but they are not trying to compete with high-end department stores like Dillard's is. I sound like some uppity you-know-what but I'm really not. I'm not rich and when I go out to spend my hard-earned money, I buy the best I can afford. Twice, not once, but TWICE, I have purchased shoes only to get home to find that the shoes in the box didn't match. Seriously, people, how hard is it to put matching shoes in a flippin box AFTER I TRY THEM ON? Helloooo. Are you on crack? Another time I spent $180 on a leather bag. I was soooo happy about that purse. It made me so happy...until I noticed that when I hold the bag by the handles, the outer pocket puckers and shows the lining. Also, I noticed that there are rings for a strap attachment, which I didn't get. My husband returned to Dillards to get my strap and he was told that the rings were just for decoration. Um, ok. Then, when he complained about the pucker (he's such a good husband) and the salesperson was aware of the complaint and offered to accept the purse for another. WHHHHHYYYY would a store sell an item that they KNOW is inferior? This bag was $180! My $30 purses don't pucker. WTF?! I'm so angry. Breathing... I have shopped at Dillards since it opened. I go twice a year for bra fittings. The last time I went, the woman sized me and went about her business while I'm waltzing around the lingerie dept looking for my size bra on the racks with "the girls" hanging somewhere around my belly button. I have never been treated like that before. They have always been so helpful and usually bring a ton of bras for you to try and then check on you every 10 minutes. They've changed so much. And, if they are in trouble financially as the other poster mentioned, I can give them several reasons why! At this point, I only shop at Dillard's for cosmetics. One wrong move with my Clinique or Chanel and they are HISTORY! read more

Surprisingly rude customer service. I asked if the store had a price adjustment policy. Item I bought went on sale five days later. They don't. But the service rep made a point of making me feel like I was asking an offensive question. I was told no other department stores have ever had such a policy. That's not true but I didn't bother telling the rep. The moral of this story is that no matter how good a deal you get at Dillard's, it's just not worth the trouble if you have questions. read more

The employees constantly harass you by offering help every couple minutes.....then another employee harasses you by offering help and the one who offered help first gets mad at the other employee. Very fake-nice employees who are clearly on a quota system (most likely a very unrealistic and high sales quota system). I wanted to shop for my Polo apparel in peace, but kept getting recommendations on what shirt I should wear with my swimming trunks and "look at this one. It has long sleeves. You can roll them up when you go to the beach. It looks great". And if that wasn't bad enough, the lady takes my clothes I was going to buy and puts them at her register so I HAVE to check out with her (stealing the first guys commission). During checkout, "are you sure you don't want that nice shirt to wear with that. I'll bring it over". My goodness! Worse than going to a car dealership/time share presentation! Go to Macy's instead--I have NO intention on ever going back after that heinous experience! If you want to have fun, take a long time with the employees and say, "Oh I'm going to shop more I'll check out somewhere else. Thanks so much!" Oh, the store is very clean and nicely designed. The selection is really bad for mens clothes, however. The best they have for apparel is Polo by Ralph Lauren, and the Cole Haan shoes is limited to about 4 pairs of the ugly ones. If you want nice stuff, you'll have to drive to Valencia. I honestly feel bad for the employees. Bad selection and high sales expectations? Come on now! read more

The best variety in ladies shoes of any where I have ever been. Great shoe sales too. Also the Estee Lauder girls are awesome! Great customer service from Elaine & Rhonda! If you want to keep your high quality stores in your area, support them! I hate it when people drive out of the area to shop, then whine because the local retailers went out of business or the quality declines. Friday's are for getting fresh! So usually I head to Dillard's Friday evenings and check out what kind of new stuff they have, because I think they have a pretty good LRG section. My experience after 2/8/2020 was approved tonight when Rosie from Edge Counter came to help me. I was at Este Lauder Counter for 10 mins and Rosie came over when she seen me! I needed product from the other day and due to poor customer service I left. Today the Este counter was empty and definitely needs cleaning. Rosie was so personable and professional along with up selling m on product. I usually go to different counters and do all my shopping. I bought shoes and than needed make up. Rosie found me a face powder that I think I will like and some Este lip gloss. I needed Cologne so she went to men's department and I bought the new Tiffany for men and another cologne Rosie up sold me on. Come on Dillards let's get back to great customer service or hire people who pretend to care! Rosie is definitely someone I would go back to and hire for our place of business. read more

I am SO impressed with the customer service I received today. Sales manager samer did me a HUGE favor and swapped out my shoes to get me the correct size when he was not required to do because my shoes were worn and there return policy for shoes clearly states shoes must be in perfect condition. This company customer service sucks! I bought some shoes on sale. By the time I received them the sale was over and the size of the shoes was off. I paid extra money to have them delivered and they charge you extra to return them and they don't honor the price of sale. So it you bought the shoes on sale and if you want to exchange them for a different size you do have to pay the difference. Dillards, you Guys suck! read more

I have definitely experienced better from Dillard's. The product is high quality and I'd rather order online than shop in this store. I asked a sales associate where the elevator was. She told me it was located by men's. Walked all over the men's section, only to find out it was located by handbags. In what universe is the men's department the handbag department?! Got to the elevator only to find the buttons with sticky stuff all over and graffiti scratched into the inside of the doors. The elevator button did not even work and I had to press it 10 times before it would work! The restroom at this location was unsanitary to say the least. Needs a deep cleaning with bleach! I did find a few things and the lady who checked me out was friendly. But I will not be returning to this location. The outside in the parking lot had a sketchy vibe and I did not feel safe. read more

Ladies at makeup counter have an attitude and zero people skills. They love rolling their eyes at you all over this store. An older lady at customer service kept rolling her eyes when I was trying to pick up an order. I got an email saying my order was complete and ready for pick up. So, I get there and only one item was there. I guess she didn't want to deal w it so another younger lady came she was nicer but still rude w a bit of an attitude also kept cutting me off when I was talking to her about when can I expect the rest of my order. read more

As I was looking at the women's bag/purse department at Dillard"s, a sales-lady by the name of Cruz approached me and instead of sounding helpful as a customer service person should, she became very annoying. I could not even appreciate the bag I was looking at and felt I was being pushed by this associate to buy it. As I approached the cash register to ask a question she followed me yelling and asking me if I needed or wanted something. I felt like I wanted to leave and not buy the purse. I honestly think she may be a good lady but needs to learn customer selling skills that will make people who shop at this store comfortable. read more

I called in looking for a boot, gave them all information for it, they said they had it on hold, I drive 30 miles because I needed them that day, and the sales associate candy put the wrong shoe on hold. She told me she had a tall over the knee on hold and actually put an ankle bootie on hold. Not sure how you can get those mixed up? read more

She took her time with me and wasn't in any rush whatsoever to make a "sale." This is now my new online store. I ordered a pair of shoes to be delivered to Antelope, California. My mistake! Antelope is the name of the mall that is located in Palmdale California. When I realized I was having shoes delivered to Southern California a gazillion miles from my house, I contacted customer service who informed me that the order had already been processed and there was nothing that could be done. I could cancel the order once the shoes arrived in the store. I contacted the store and spoke with Sarah Meeks, the manager. She was amazing. She went above and beyond exemplary customer service to make sure I received the shoes without having to drive to Southern California. Because of her high standards of customer service, I will shop Dillards exclusively online. read more

I wanted to buy a necklace and I checked out several places for what I had in mind. I found what was closest to what I wanted in Dillard's. The price was a bit on the high side but not much. Service was good. I had to wait for a while to pay for the necklace. They have a nice variety of accessories. Just the prices can be a little more affordable. read more

Some friends and I were killing time in the mall and decided to come in here and look at what they had in. Now, all of us looked very nice in casual but nice ( I don't want to use expensive and sound pretentious, but none of us were in very cheap clothing by any means) clothes and we maybe saw 2 other people in the store while we were there on this Saturday afternoon. We were looking through clothes and dresses for my female friends and there was one older woman who worked there that was following us around the whole time, and every time we approached another staff member, they eyed us and walked away. Some friends found some dresses they wanted to try on and when they took it off the rack to take it to the room, the aforementioned woman wouldn't let them in to try them on and assumed that they were trying them for fun. At that moment we took everything we had and hung it up and walked out. As a group of young people, we aren't surprised to not be taken seriously, but I don't want to spend my money in a store that treats me as some sort of a lesser and apparently doesn't want it. On top of some other negative experiences I've had there, I don't plan on returning. Outside of that, the store, while very clean, seemed to lack much organization and it felt like things were laid out, without intention, everywhere; Displays were lacking and felt almost lazy; and as I've said, the service was practically waiting for us to leave, which in an empty store, felt very ironic. read more

Days like today where they offer an additional 30-40% off select items every employee seems to be in a rush to see how many customers they can rack up. No attention is really paid, you are more like another number to add to their quota. One employee that always seems to stick out is Shakir, in the Men's department (Shoes) He is so personable & inviting! It's so refreshing to see an employee who carries himself with such class, always with a smile, & truly cares. He makes your shopping experience very memorable. I went to the lingerie department of Dillards for a bra fitting, as I was having trouble finding bras that fit comfortably after my son was born. The sales associate was just lovely. She was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She took my measurements, helped me find my measurements, and then made several recommendations based on what I was looking for. She was so helpful, which was especially appreciated, as I had my 3 year old with me. The lingerie department was the only part of the store that I visited, but my experience was very positive. read more

A week before the big day, I purchased some wedding gifts listed on the Bride and Grooms Dillards Registry in person at Dillards at Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC. Like many items on such registries, they matched other items in the listed sets. Unfortunately, for the bride and groom, for whatever reason the wedding was called off the day before the event. Unfortunately, for me, I am now stuck with a mixing bowl set that does not match any of my existing kitchenware. The reason I am stuck - of the multiple items I purchased, the bowl set was on sale and therefore when I attempted to return them, I was informed by the Housewares clerk and by the stores customer service desk that Dillards only allows you three days to return sales items, otherwise no refund - not even a store purchase credit!!! read more

Went to the store because we went to the same store in Las Vegas. Totally different!! And not in a good way. The clothes are for much older people and the price are much higher. I went to the women's department and each area I went to there was a senior citizen, Caucasian woman who popped up out of no where. It was uncanny. The selections were as if these women chose them. It was a Saturday and I honestly don't know how they stay open. It was a ghost town. The boys section was limited and we were not impressed. Corduroy pants?? Who wears those. It was like being in the twilight zone. We expected to buy a lot of stuff, but none of us were happy here with what they had to offer. So, we went down to Macy's who saved the day. If I could give negative stars i really would. I have never in my life received such horrible customer service. Customer representative AMARIS was the worst rudest, standoff, and racist person I have ever had to deal in a transaction. My mother and I are waiting at the cashier area for the shoe department because we are done looking and would like to pay. She comes up to us and instead of greeting us for assistance she instead asks WHAT DO YOU WANT! Honestly what kind of service is that and we kindly said we would like to pay as she rudely takes our shoes rolling her eyes. This was the most unpleasant transaction I have ever had while her body language and remarks were not welcomed. i just discovered the end of th! month sales at Dillards. They are fabulous! Nothing is perfect. Some sales people are friendlier then others but I find that there is always some one to help you. The womens section is a little over the top on having the sales women ask you if you need help. I asked them why were so many people asking me if I needed help. She told me they work on commission. I had avoided this store for years due to bad customer service interaction while my girls were trying on clothes. A bummer, since the clothes were never the problem. I finally went back the other day with my sister, and the person I dealt with was the kindest person I've dealt with in quite awhile. She was helpful, while not being pushy. I was impressed.
